I had Lap band surgery in another state and had to reloacte to Dickson.I was so thrilled to see a Dr. in Dickson so close to my house,that was perfectily capable (or so I though) of doing my adjustments.I called and talked to one person,very helpful.I faxed all my records over called back to check in.I talked to someone else that had no idea what I was told or what was going on.First she said they could not see me,then she called back a few days later with different news.They could see me..but for an ungodly amount of money! I never in my life have seen such a scam! who charges 285$ just to talk to the Dr. and It only went down hill from there.The 1 visit,and to get the adjustment I needed would cost over 1500$ and about 700$ for each visit after,+ a 500$ a year fee to be in their "program"!! The woman on the phone acted like it was such a big deal for them to take over my care,and that I didnt understand the procedure I had. I do understand,and know when someone is trying to Rip me off! No thank you,obvously they did not want my business.It screamed money hungry to me.News flash...have you seen the economy crashing? I have since found a different Dr. and for everything I need it will cost 300$ for the first visit & 165$ thereafter. Way to keep the money in Dickson county Dr. Huerta! Now I am driving 100 miles away to spend mine.Its a shame.

WARNING - ASK FOR ALL COSTS YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO PAY FOR A PROCEDURE!! Everyone was very nice and professional. However, I was disconcerted when I found out that my upper GI was going to cost $500 (out of pocket). They said that they liked to tell people upfront, so they are not surprised. What DID suprose me that they failed to mention was the $700 anesthesia bill (for 5-10 minutes of anesthesia) that I had to pay ON TOP of the $500. My upper GI cost me $1200. I was in the office for about a total of about 30 minutes from door to door.

Dr. Huerta has been my doctor for several years. He is professional, trustworthy and very knowledgeable. I relocated from Dickson and still drive an hour to see him when necessary. I highly recommend him! In reading these other reviews, your insurance determines what they will cover and what your out of pocket expenses will be, NOT the doctor or anesthesiologist. I paid $35.00 to each based on my insurance!
