We visited here based on a recommendation as our prior pediatric dentist did not use sedation, and our 4-yr old needed it for fillings + a crown. Our consult with the hygienist was very pleasant and they were very kind. We set up our appointment for the conscious sedation and came back a week or so later. It happened to be my childs fifth birthday and she took the medicine for sedation and we waited for it to take effect. Our hygienist that day I believe was April, and she was very kind and patient. However, the medicine didnt relax our daughter much and when it was time to get the work started, she was resisting and scared of the needle. This is where things got bad. Dr Buzz asked me, "Does your daughter run things at home?" Wow. I was really shocked at the question and said "No, of course not shes just scared." We continued to try to soothe our child, convince her she would feel nothing, calm her fears, all to no avail. Whenever he tried to get into her moth with a tool, she freaked out. As I was telling her to not grab their hands when they were trying to work on her, and told her she had to listen to me for safety, and if she didnt she would not get any TV, Dr Buzz again chimed in: "I really encourage you to stick with that at home if youre going to say that." This time I was less shocked and much more angry. I responded that despite what he may thing about our parenting, our child was scared and reacting as a normal, scared young child would when someone was trying to stick an needle in their mouth. I was utterly flabbergasted that this seasoned doctor was treating me and her this way. He kept saying their success rate is 80% with the medicine - and I thought, okay that still leaves 20% where it doesnt work so why are you so dumbfounded that it isnt working for her?! After much attempt to make it happen by everyone, we gave up and decided shed need to go hospital route / full sedation and thats another referral. I signed paperwork, paid them and left (in tears). I reached out to their office via email to share my concerns over the comments made to us that day. They called me one day to discuss; I wasnt available to talk and we made a plan to speak the following day - but I never heard back despite following up again over email. The ultimate pain point for me came later - when I was in another state traveling for work and the referring doc they had sent us to called me seeking her X-Rays. Dr. Buzzs office said they would not release them to them because I hadnt signed a release form. Really?! I called them and explained they referred me, I was granting my permission and are they sure I hadnt signed a form because I signed several forms when we checked out? Nope. And too bad if I was traveling, she would have to email me the form and Id have to send it days later upon my return. Oh and by the way - NEVER got the emailed form sent to me. Thankfully, our original dentist who had actually taken the X-Rays sent them over without any hesitation or problem. There were many friendly people at this office. But our experience was not positive and Im still not happy with how Dr Buzz treated our family that day. It was unprofessional and rude.

I am not typically a review writer, but since I got an email requesting one, I decided to go ahead. My daughter had her first visit with Dr. Buzz at the end of January, when we found out that she had a small cavity between her two back molars. We returned this week to have the cavity filled. I have to say that all of the staff I encountered on both visits were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. However, I was a little surprised that there is a basket full of sweets at the front door (as you walk in) and my daughter was offered a SUCKER as a reward on the day we were having her cavity filled! I also had a major problem with the fact that my daughter was given two medications for sedation (including morphine) and we were then taken to the waiting room to wait for it to kick in while everyone in the office attended a staff meeting. If any adverse effects or allergic reactions had occurred (especially since she had never taken either medication before and both were controlled substances), no one was monitoring us. A sign was put up at the front desk that all staff were going into a meeting and would be unavailable, but I was not given instruction on where to find a staff member if anything concerning happened. I found this unprofessional and unsafe. We were also told that someone would be calling to check on my daughter later in the day (after the procedure) to make sure she wasnt having any adverse effects from the medication such as nausea/vomiting, allergic reactions such as hives, etc. This call never occurred. The staff at this office definitely create a warm, welcoming environment for children and I will say that the appointment went smoothly with no medical issues to report. However, there were several aspects of the visit that bothered me as a parent. Because of these issues, I was disappointed with my overall experience at Pediatric Dental Care.

My 2 yr old daughter had her first dental appt ever today. I was nervous that she would be terrified. But, the whole office was so fun and welcoming from the get go, that it didnt give her a chance to experience a bad time. We were greeted with smiles and yummy coffee. We had toys for her to play with and snacks for her to nibble on courtesy of the office. Then we were whisked away to the second waiting area that was set up like the North Pole for Christmas time. Our little one had so much fun! She loved Mallorie, her princess teeth cleaner. You can tell Mallorie loves kiddos. Dr. Buzz came out after and brought our sweet baby girl a big smile and surprise for her first visit. She is usually apprehensive with guys, but Dr. Buzz had a great presence and was just wonderful with her. Its so good having such a fun and easy first impression of a what dental office is. Next time we come in Im sure shell remember that going to the dentist can be fun and comfortable. Thank you all for being SO wonderful today!! On the way home Elsie kept shouting "Mallorie cleaned my sugar monsters. They no more mama!"

I was given misleading information that they accept my insuarance provider , I paid a copay of $300 for my daughter now after all the treatment is done they sent me a bill of another $600 bill stating my insuarance did not cover that amount. My provider gave me the reason that "Dr. Buzz is not part of their network" so I will not get full coverage. So now when I called them they say we never said we we are networked with "Guardian"(My provider)...On the other hand they are charging me $100 for just even looking at my sons teeth(not even touching) and referring him to a different doctor. I asked them on the very same day, how much I owe and they did not tell me anything saying we will work with your provider. They did not give a , single hint that they are not networked with my provider, so that they can bill me later. At this point I feel cheated as they are asking me to pay $1000 (Total) just because they gave me misleading information that it was covered. I had no reason to go to Dr. Buzz if I was not covered. I will not recommend any one to go to Dr. Buzz.
