We have been going to Ditto and Sammons for ortho care for a couple of our kids, and with their great experience my other kids ask all the time “when am I getting braces?” Even when I forgot to make an appointment a month ahead of time I could be accommodated, and their friendly staff made everyone comfortable. Even the lobby with its tv (and magazines, which apparently no one has anymore!) and free wifi is family friendly, so no one minded waiting on a sibling with an appointment. My kids wait time to be seen was always minimal, and I was always kept up to date on their care and goals for next visits. And although I don’t have a child with special needs, as a former teacher I have watched time and again the caring staff at Ditto and Sammons take excellent care with kids who could use some extra love and care. The highest recommendations for Ditto & Sammons from our family.

I have always been concerned with the no parents allowed back policy. When my oldest son went there, years ago, and I rose to go back with him, I was rudely told I was not allowed. I complied because I was young and did not understand I could stand up for myself and my child. I was a mess in the waiting room the whole time. When he came out, I could tell he had been crying and the same lady said, "He has some confidence issues doesnt he?" I was so shocked and horrified, I could not answer. I feel horrible to this day about letting them bully me into leaving him. You have the right to be with your children when they are in the dentist chair. Dont let them tell you kids are better behaved or less nervous without mom. That is nonsense.

My family has been visiting Dr Ditto and Sammons for over 5 years, the dental staff is excellent with the children. The receptions desk on the other hand needs a lesson in manners. In the past year, everytime I call in I am greeted with complete rudeness. No matter how good the Dr is, I am now forced to find a new one thanks to the those ladies who think they are better than everyone else and can treat people like crap. I have never been made to feel so poorly in a perfessional institution.

have taken good care of my girls. however have never been a fan of the no parents in the back policy and am concerned with the new Purdue insurance it appears they (at least not yet) are a preferred provider for the dental insurance. In their defence Purdue having dental insurance for all employees is a new benefit but i hope they get on board soon or i may be forced consider(as well as many others) to look for alternate care.

Ditto and Sammons was surprisingly unprofessional and not really geared for children (despite this being their specialty). Everything from the decor and atmosphere of the building to the personality and manners of staff just did not seem to suit a practice specializing in pediatric dentistry. I would not recommend to others and will not be returning in the future.

This dentist office was recommended to me by my grand daughters who love going. Front office staff along with the dentist were highly professional and friendly to me and my Autistic foster son and they knew exactly how to treat his specific needs. Will be choosing this dentist for all foster children coming into our home.

I do not care for their ‘no parent present during procedures’ policy. It is not developmentally appropriate to ask a 3 or 4 year old to be alone with a stranger (especially during what could be a scary procedure). In my opinion, the focus of this dental office is high throughput not individual patient care.

I have been going here since the age of 2. I have been going since my first tooth needed pulled, and to get my braces on and off. I absolutely love every dental assistant and dentist. The dental assistance in the back always start conversations to make you feel more comfortable and theyre very inviting.

Braces - Both my children had braces here and not happy with either one. Daughter had two sets and her bottom teeth are still not straight. My sons looked good but they didnt leave them on long enough and his teeth have moved, retainers were always to tight and hurt his mouth.

Literally sat in the chair for 30 minutes just for a check up on my braces. I got my bands off and 30 min later im still sitting there waiting for them to tell me how nice my teeth are coming along and to put it back on...

The doctors are quite personable and were patient with my son who could have been more compliant with his retainer, etc. I would not call the front desk rude. They are professional, but never rude.
