Please disregard the review post made by Angie Douglass because it is false information (untruths). I am the owner of the dog Delta she was making reference to and I can assure you that my animals have received the finest of care over the years with Dr. Vickie Howell. Dr. Howell and I were in constant contact regarding Deltas heart condition she had since birth. It was published in the Greeneville Sun Newspaper that Angie Douglass was arrested and served time for public intoxication and stealing drugs while working at Vet Care Animal Hospital. I understand she is probably angry and sadly chose this juvenile method to try and smear Dr. Howells good name. I have never met a more compassionate and competent veterinarian than Dr. Howell, and I highly recommend her to all my friends and acquaintances. I would also add that Dr. Howell baths the animals when they pass and wraps them in a blanket for burial, as she did Delta. She shows great respect for animals, living and dead. She is simply the best.

I worked there. I witnessed her uthiniz animals without owner concent ( one was her best friend dog , Delta)because she did not think they could make the decision. One night a family brought their puppy in and it was diagnosed with parvo. The family could not afford $300 on the spot for treatment. She took the puppy anyway and did not even offer to give it a bag of fluids. I found it dead the next morning. She and another employee warmed it up with a blow dryer when the family arrived to make it seem it had just passed away still charged them the $300 after telling them she did everything to save it. I came in one morning and found an elderly dog in her cage with a muzzle on. She had had had the muzzle on since treatment the afternoon before. I have seen animals physically hit by staff because they were not behaving properly.... they were just scared and needed love. I could go on and on, but hopefully you get the picture. She only cares about making money...everything else if FAKE!!

I met Dr. Howell in one of the worst nights of my life and she went above and beyond to help me in any way that she could. I have taken my animals there for over three years and can not speak highly enough of Dr. Vickie Howell, and Dr. Larry Dawson. Their first priority is to help your pet achieve the best health and vitality possible. Not to mention the caring, compassionate, and highly capable vet care staff. I have come to know them personally and as a vet tech myself, would not take my animal anywhere else. I recommend them to anyone in need of veterinary care that is affordable, effective, and overall a wonderful experience. If you want your animal(s) to be in a loving, calm, and caring environment while boarding or receiving treatment then this is the place to go. Their kennel assistants make it their priority to keep your pet clean, and comfortable while the techs and veterinarians tend to the health and care of your pet. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Dr. Howell has been caring for my fur babies for over 20 years now. When one of my dogs got sick, I always knew I was getting the best diagnosis and treatment plan. I was confident in the fact that she knows animals and how to care for them. Her facility is very clean and well equipped, and the staff are courteous and friendly. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing vet care.

They took my lab in on a emergency told me the blood work and x-ray would be like 150$. They found something and told me surgery had to be done or he wouldnt make it and they wouldnt tell me how much it would be. When they were done they wanted 807$ upfront or I couldnt get my dog. O yeah and every night is a 45$ a night. And if u cant pay it they will take u to court.
