I had hurt my low back doing some work on our home this summer and after a while of it lingering my wife suggested that I go see Dr. James Dawes (my wife has been into see Dr. Kimberly Dawes in the past and she got her all fixed up!). Initially I wasn’t into going because I’ve seen probably 5 or 6 chiropractors over the years and honestly I was skeptical of them. But from the very first visit I was impressed with how Dr. Dawes genuinely seemed to care. Dr. Dawes took his time and explained everything very thoroughly and he listed to my concerns and answered all of my questions and didn’t rush through the visit. He also didn’t trying to sell me a bunch of support pillows and supplements (nothing wrong with those things of course) which impressed me. He may suggest something that may be of help but theres no guilt trips or sales pitches. I’ve been going to him now for about 4 months and am on the road to getting better thanks to him. I trust Dr. Dawes insight and knowledge and would recommend him to anyone in the area looking for a chiropractor.

Updated: if you have never tried chiropractics, go in and get a consultation. They are more than willing to answer your questions about the process and how it can help. Im updating this review as a public service announcement, because I hate seeing anyone in pain and knowing there is a non-surgical option. We have a friend who is more willing to have an operation than a few basic adjustments... There is nothing to fear. Go check them out and explore your options. Thanks Original review: Drs. Kimberly and James Dawes treat all four of my family members. My wife through two pregnancies and both of my sons from four (4) days old and beyond. Im prior service military, a former collegiate wrestler and a construction worker. My body has been through a lot and gets more abuse every day. Its also my source of income, so there is no question when it comes to maintaining it. I have entrusted that to Dr. Dawes. And Amie is just the best at pulling the whole office team together. I have recommended them to my friends and family.

On my first visit to Dr. Dawes I couldnt bend down and touch my toes without my back locking up. I couldnt get down on my knees to do my job. I figured I was done, I thought I would have to change jobs because the pain was so bad I just couldnt do it anymore. After X rays and talking with Dr. Dawes he set me up with a schedule and more appointments to see if he could help me. After the second visit I felt better, after the third I knew he was doing some good so I stayed on the schedule. Im now on a one visit a month to keep everything moving like its supposed to. And you cant forget to do the exercises between visits thats what keeps me moving freely. I truly believe if not for Dr. Dawes I wouldnt be on the job every day like I am. So if you need a great chiropractor give him a try. I think he can get you moving again.

Dr. Dawes is Amazing! The process of diagnosis, treatment, prevention and future wellness was not only demonstrated, but also fully explained in a manner that I could completely visualize and understand. Every adjustment has a purpose, and is done with ease to maximize the comfort of his patients. My back pain was so severe I could not work for several days. After the first visit I had immediate results and could return to work the next day. Over the process of the last couple of weeks the pain has all but vanished and my normal mobility has greatly increased. I truly appreciate what Dr. Dawes has done for me and my family.. Dr Dawes genuinely cares about his patients. He helped me through the most painful/debilitating injury of my life. The bulging disc in my spine had me in such terrible shape that I could barely walk without another person helping me. I never thought this could happen to me in my 20s, and I had never felt so helpless and scared. I couldnt even put on shoes without assistance... On my first appointment Dr. Dawes explained in full detail what was causing my pain, and what we could do to fix it. The first adjustment showed positive results immediately. Within a few weeks I was standing straight, and getting around on my own easily - PAIN FREE!!

I have been using Dr. Dawes at stones river chiropractic for almost a year. During that time we have been working on the neck pain from a car accident when I was younger. The neck pain is much much better than when we first began. On top of that I injured my right shoulder playing baseball which made it very difficult to throw a softball in the church league. After Dr. Dawes looked at it we started doing some different exercises that allowed me to start throwing again. If you are on the fence about using a chiropractor I strongly recommend trying out Dr. Dawes. He is honest and not pushy at all.

Dr. Kimberly took care of my chiropractic needs throughout my second pregnancy. Love her! Not to mention everything was lined up so well that my labor was only 2 hours. I brought my baby to her at two days old, and she has done ear checks and adjustments for both my children. Very family friendly office, so nice to be able to get an adjustment without worrying about finding child care. Dr. James helped my husbands back pain with adjustments and exercises when other doctors were talking about MRIs and surgery. Good as new now and happy we tried less invasive options first.

Was once a skeptic, now a believer! I started Chiropractic care not realizing what it could truly help. I have Crohns Disease and after a few adjustments felt 1000 xs better than any medication could. My everyday constant headaches, gone! Its truly a great feeling to know with just a little core training I can keep my body inline and feeling good! Highly recommend Stones River Chiropractic! Dr. James was great at being able to pinpoint problem areas to reduce my problems, and now through regular maintenance my initial complaint is rarely existent. In late pregnancy I transferred to the care of Dr. Kim at Stones River who specializes in Webster Chiropractic and also works with children. They made the discomfort of pregnancy so much easier to handle, alleviating various pains and realigning what was shifting out of place. Professional and friendly environment; our family always feels welcome!

Dr. Dawes is the best! Frankly, I had my doubts on the effectiveness of chiropractic care in the past. Not anymore! Dr. Dawes and his team took the time to perform a complete evaluation in order to determine the most effective way to treat the years of poor posture and consequential rolled shoulders and arched back I had developed.
