Never before have I seen a chiropractor because of the bad press they receive from media (Two and a Half Men), being called "Quacks"...etceteria. I thought I would give Dr. Whalen a try. He was at a carnival offering free adjustments and consultations. At the first "free" meeting that ended up costing $54.00, he said I would need to see him 3 times a week for 8 weeks. Interesting for someone that has never had any issues with their back. A year later...Right before my wedding, I had an injury and I could not tell if I actually hurt my back or tore a muscle. He again recommended I see him 3 times a week for 8 weeks. I didnt go back until I was seen by my GP and orthopedic doctor. After a couple of MRIs, they said there was nothing wrong with my muscles or spine. Suggested I go to the chiropractor. Made the appointment with Dr. Whalen. Condescendingly and offensively, he asked, why I went to an orthopedic instead of him, I said, he didnt take insurance and his cost was too high. He then told me I paid for MRIs and office visits (I have insurance and worried something was torn or broken). I was extremely offended by his bedside manner and questions. My back was killing me and I finally asked him if he wanted my business or not. He said yes. Gave me an adjustment and I felt great. I scheduled a follow up appointment (which was rescheduled because of the flu). The assistant said that I should still come in the adjustment will help. Not wanting to spread the flu, I declined and rescheduled. Showed up to the office. No one was there except for the massage therapist who rents space from Dr. Whalen. The massage therapist called and texted Dr Whalen a couple of times while I waited 35 minutes. I left a note about waiting, said I would bill him for the time I spent waiting and requested he send my file to my address. His assistant (who was extremely nice) called and said there must have been a mistake with the schedule. I never received my records. No call, no email...nothing from Dr. Whalen. After receiving email marketing from Dr. Whalen, I replied to tell him I thought it was in bad taste and bad business to continue sending me information after my experience. Here is his reply... "Is the appalling experience you are referring to that we had you scheduled a t 9:45 am and you arrived at t he office at 11:00 am therefore there was some miscommunication between you and (his assistant)? And from that you write angry notes? I did not receive any message that I needed to call you. Copies of your records have been sent to you. I recommend you seek services elsewhere. I will remove you from my database." My impression of chiropractors has been tainted because of this experience. Hopefully, this is beneficial to someone out there...

I hurt my back doing too many planks with trainer. I tried to figure out if I should go to the family doctor, chiropractor or even the ER as I was in tears with pain. I couldnt even sleep more than 4 hours at night. I called Dr. Whalen and after talking to him, I decided that I would try his service first. I was very intrigued by the process of rating my pain and the areas of concern with my skeleton structure. I felt relief after the first adjustment and was able to sleep through the night. After the third adjustment, Im almost feeling like normal. Im going to continue seeing Dr. Whalen as my left hip is higher than my right. Dr. Whalen said that with continuous treatments this can be corrected and keep me from future pain. This is my first experience with Chiropractic treatments and it is AMAZING! I recommend Dr. Whalen for sure!

When I started I had several very tightly knotted areas in my back. I had upper and lower back pain. The adjustments have improved all of that significantly. Dr Whalens supplement combination helped with my energy levels. I like his holistic approach, combining diet, supplements, adjustments, and clearing energy blockages. The only thing that may prevent me from using him more extensively is price - $60 per adjustment. I think its a fair price and well worth it for what you get. Its just tough with my budget. But if price is no issue, I recommend him, hands down

After countless appointments with my family physician, Dr. Whalen was able to diagnose the reason for my 2-year, unexplained and uncontrollable weight gain (100 lbs). Under Dr. Whalens care the weight gain stopped, and my body is now equalizing back to a healthy weight. His success with me prompted me to bring my 9 year old daughter to see him for her chronic ear infections. Dr. Whalen discovered the root problem, and after the first adjustment her pain was significantly less, and after three adjustments, she had no recurrences.
