I just wanted to put my experience out here so maybe Dr. Williams will see it, since I never got to meet the actually vet. I came here after I had many people reccommend me to this vet, (I work for petsmart and am a dog groomer so I would like to think I am able to handle dogs well) I went in to get my dog a simple rabies shot just to get a feel of the place and the vet and customer service, I usually go to Kinard animal hospital for my dogs vet check ups. When I arrived they didnt have my name down for an appointment even though i schedule one, which then seemed to annoy the staff.. But wasnt my fault. After filling out papers I was called back and informed the vet tech of my dog being nervous and aggressive so I offered to help hold her while she was going to be given the shot. Well another lady came in and had the shot ready, as I was trying to get adjusted with holding my dog and getting her ready for the shot the vet (lady with brown hair not sure of her name) immediately gave her the shot without me or my dog being ready, so as dogs do.. My dog turned around and tried to bite her. The vet SCREAMED at me "dont let her bite me!!!" I was shocked and speechless of how unprofessional the experience was.. And how scared the vet was of my 25lb dog.. As a person who works with dog all day I can say I have never reacted that way to a dog bite, or potential aggression. She seemed afraid of my dog and acted as if it was my fault that it happened.. If you are going to work with dogs, you should not be afraid and if you are, dogs pick up on that and will do what they can to defend themselves! After that I was ready to leave and as I was paying another dog came charging into the building without a leash and came right up to my dog and started to attack her! My dog tried to defend herself and the vet came out and told me I needed to move my dog away from the away as of my dog was some savage beast!! Shes a small whippet mix and the dog who came up to her was not restrained and a large breed dog! I dont blame the dog for coming up to my dog and them getting into a tisk at all, I know that happens . But for the amount of disrespect I got and the amount of unprofessionalism I experienced I tell everyone I know not to come to this vet, and my customers as well. I will remember this experience and will never step foot in this place again. They need to hire real vet techs who know how to handle themselves and animals in stressful Situations. I would never react that way with an animal and am shocked that a trained Professional would act this way. I hope this isnt how they treat all the dogs who get nervous !! One positive thing j will say is the first vet tech I saw was extremely apologetic for the other vets actions during the shot , she even gave my dog a treat afterwards. She was professional and seemed to be embarrassed of the other vet tech. Other than that there is nothing positive to say.

We love Dr. Williams and his associate vets! He does not want me to share with you how long he has treated all our animals, that would divulge his age and mine. He has treated every pet we have ever owned and that is quite a few rescues, strays, etc.; dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles, one snake and two cougars - dont ask why we had cougars or a snake. He even put pins and screws in one of our cougars legs when the cougar landed on it wrong and broke its hind leg is several places. Dr. Williams performed this surgery while on the phone with the UT Veterinary School getting instruction. His cost for this surgery was very reasonable considering all that was involved. This morning I decided to check on the prices of our dogs medications online at one of these "Save 50 - 70% on your dogs medications". What a joke! One of our dogs meds is out of stock and will not be in stock for probably 6 mo. to a year. And the cost was actually more had it been in stock. The other medication was a whole $2.00 cheaper, but by the time we paid shipping it was going to cost $7.00 more than at Dr. Williams. This revelation only helped reinforce my believe that Williams Animal Hospital is the most affordable, honest, knowledgeable Veterinary Clinic around. We LOVE Dr. Williams and the rest of the staff is great also! I would trust Dr. Williams opinion on any animal in my care - he is simply a good vet and a good man!

Although my two dogs have been patients of theirs since they were puppies (7-12 years as patients), lately the management and staff have been extremely lacking. One of my dogs had a rapid loss in weight and wouldnt keep anything down..not even water. After they told me my furbaby couldnt been seen for a couple of weeks (no exceptions), I called another vet the very same day and they took her in immediately. She winded up having inflammation and infection in her intestinal track, which is LIFE THREATENING!!! They put her on meds and now shes as good as new. Had I waited to be seen by Williams Animal Hospital, she probably would be dead right now. Now today, I called for my other furbaby to be seen for something that is an emergency situation (shes licking incessantly at her genitalia and shes very raw and swollen). They couldnt see her until next week sometime. I immediately called the same vet I took my other dog to a few months back, and now have an appointment TODAY to be seen by this other vet! I will definately be switching vets as of TODAY for the latter furbaby, as I have the first one mentioned above. Ever since Dr. Williams decided to let others run his business for him and not come in as much to his own practice, things have gone to "hell in a handbag!". Im extremely disappointed by the lack of compassion on Williams Animal Hospitals part! Will NOT be going back there!!

Our family dog had a tumor removed here at the vets recommendation less than 2 months ago. She had always gone here for routine check-ups ever since she was a pup. We were told the tumor was not cancerous. Today, we had to say goodbye to her. She was taken in to another establishment this morning (Williams Animal Hospital did not have any availability to check her) due to labored breathing and no desire to eat. She had so much cancer in her lungs that they could not see the heart in an x-ray. Additionally, her stomach had flipped due to the stress her body was enduring. Not only was the surgery a waste of money, but the last 2 months of her life were spent being in pain recovering from a completely pointless operation. I do not feel the veterinarian did their due diligence in diagnosing her condition, and it really makes me question the ethics of this establishment. Our familys animals will not be returning here, nor will any of my friends.
