I currently own several dogs and have recently take 2 of my pets here for 24 hour care. My doxie had eaten something and her entire body was swollen including her airway. I called them and they told me to bring her in obviously and that they would be waiting...I got there my doggie was immediately swept away to the back where the vet was waiting and several minutes later she was a new dog after theyd obviously fixed the problem. The vet there came in and spent awhile talking about my doxie along with another one we had whom has some kind of seizure disorder, and they gave me alot of helpful information without even seeing him. I then as of yesterday had an emergency with my big dog whom is a 6 month old Labrador Retriever who would not come out of her house that morning, I went out and pulled her out of her house and realized that her back legs didnt work and her face on one side was seizing, I quickly took her off back to the Animal Medical Clinic, in which again I was met by a quick and efficient medical staff who quickly realized there was a problem. After going through the usual eliminating processes of what things could or could not be...she began seizing and foaming at the mouth as the staff was back discussing the options one call out the door and I was met by both the doctor and the vet. tech whom swept her off to the back to stablize her. I have had nothing but amazing experiences with then people at Animal Medical Center and would highly recommend them..theyre vets as to whom I have seen are amazing, efficient and very on top of things. We have worked with Dr. Alexander (the night I brought my doxie in) & Dr. Collins (whom treated my labrador) both in my opinion have been amazing, caring and do take the time out to explain things and work to make sure you know about what is going on with the treatment of your pet. The price as far as things go the visit itself is very affordable as far as other 24 hour emergency places for pets go (theyre the cheapest Ive run into) and at any rate my pets health and well being is much more important and well worth the care they receive at this clinic.

I took my Chihuahua here, he had conjunctive liver failure... yeah he didnt make it. Do I blame this place for me Chihuahua not making it, no not really, he was probably going to die no matter what, but that wasnt going to stop me from trying--I mean hes my baby! He went into cardiac arrest, the nurse very slowly waltz out "Hey, he went into cardiac arrest... did you want us to save him?"... No, thats why I brought him to the vet! My and my fiance looked at each other and said "Yeah!" and she turned and with slightly more energy walked back... enough to tell me that they were really waiting for my response! I said to my fiance, "Why else would we have brought him?" and the person behind the counter said, "Well some people wouldnt want their animal to go through anymore pain!" and she glared at me. I really should have went into the back and grabbed the freaking chihuahua and went ANYWHERE else! So we waited, and they cam back in said he was no longer responsive and would we like to "put him down" I was crying and so was my fiance, we asked if there was anything we could do... his eyes were starting to dry out, and I asked them to put eye drops in his eyes--they said, "he doesnt know, he cant feel it" the one doctor was very nice, and very comforting... I told her, "Its bothering me though" and she hopped to get eye stuff for him... we were all crying a lot, I MEAN A LOT!! And the thing, I am not sure if she was human or not who was making my pup breathe threw this little hand pump down and yelled, "He can no longer breathe, when I stop doing this he cannot breathe! HES DEAD!" I am not exaggerating, I swear to you I am not. I should have punched her in the face... but I was a little shocked... to say the least. Long story short, I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE. My best friend from child hood went there, and the messed up her dogs... hoochie... and she went to Kinards, and Kinard fixed her dog in 3 seconds... this place was saying "C-section $2000!!" Kinard just fixed it! I mean these people cant do anything!

Brendon is really great!!!! Above and beyond!! Makes sure his job is well over complete. And his care for your animal shines through the companys horrible reputation and shines through their heartlessness. He deserves to work some place that is as great as he is. These people only care about money. I understand that they cant offer their services free to everyone. I dont expect that, but they charged me $180 just to get my dog in the door. He had been hit by two cars going full force at 50 mph. They called it an exam but they said he was stable and that as of right now my bill was $180 and they said I would have to pay that before they could continue with xrays ($200) and if anything happens to be wrong with him then I would have to pay for the treatment for what ever was wrong. So all they did was look at my dog and tell me that he appeared to be stable. He didnt appear to be stable to me. He was in shock. Shaking, foaming at the mouth, urinating on himself. I asked if he was bleeding internally, they had no clue. Couldnt examine him further until that emergency sign in fee was paid. So I told them I would have to take him some where cheaper, and they said that after I paid then he would be released to me. So they took all of my money. Every penny I owned because I could not afford xrays there because I found a vet that charges $44 for as many xrays as it needed. A vet in Woodbury helped with payment plan and didnt just let my dog lay there and suffer with an out of socket hip. And bleeding all over. Another person seen a dog on the side of the road and brought the pet there to drop them off so he didnt die and they said they couldnt leave the dog there? The dog had no owner. Are you kidding? They could give a crap less. So a dog was born into this world without choice. Dropped off on the side of the road without choice. Has no one to love him. Without frickin choice. Ran over and cant get help to survive and be given a chance. Without choice. Crappy . Glad it wasnt a human.

I will never take another animal to this place! I rescued a dog that had been run over and was laying in the road. When I took him in I immediately told them that the dog had been run over and he was wheezing, but that he was not my dog and appeared to be a stray. They were not even concerned with the condition of the dog and only wanted payment information. When I told them I did not have the money to pay them for treatment, they said the could not take him. The dog was clearly in pain, wheezing, and unable to stand. I started crying and begged them to do something, even if it was to euthanize him, as he appeared to be an elderly dog and I did not want him to suffer. At that point they left me standing there with the dog and another lady returned, only to tell me they could not euthanized the dog if they did not have the owners permission. Again...I picked the dog up off the street. How am I supposed to notify the owner??? They eventually took the dog and said they would just drop it off at the local animal shelter. There was nothing more I could do. The story doesnt end there... I called back later that day to see if they had been able to locate the owners and to check on the condition of the dog. Keep in mind, all I wanted to do was be a caring person and help an injured, helpless animal. The woman told me, "Since you were unable to care for your dog and chose not to have anything to do with him, we cannot give you any information at this time." Gave him up??? Chose not to have anything to do with him??? Really??? This place is a joke and apparently does not care for the welfare of any wounded animal, unless you have money in hand. I have 2 dogs myself, and would NEVER take them to this place.
