PLEASE read all reviews on all sites before visiting this doctor. So many things wrong here that it is hard to narrow done. Starting with office .. never in 57 years have I been to an office that has more signs (framed) stating what the patient MUST may for. Copies of medical records to see a doctor that Dr. Purgason recommends.... $50.00. Signatures on anything you need even for medicare ... $$$. Office manager (found out it is his wife) is extremely rude to all patients. Other office staff rude and condesending. Practice sees many elderly. I was looking for a doctor for my mother who at the time was 70 years old and just relocated to be near us. Had I read the reviews I would have never put my mother in his hands. He does not listen to patients just passes them off to"specialists". Does not seek the why things are happening to perfectly healthy patients. I had diagnosed my mothers symptoms with the help of nursing friends and he finally listened to me and prescribed what I told him I thought would be good. After 3 trips to the emergency room we were told to see our family doctor first thing on Monday. I called at 8:00am and the staff said... we are too busy we can see your mother on Thursday. AWFUL practice... AWFUL office staff...AWFUL patient care

I am a patient with this office. Although I love the Doctor, his wife or nurse is rude, condescending and very unprofessional. I had called to have the doctor recommend a medication because I was having problems. His wife told me that after she had talked to the doctor, she would call into my local drug store what he recommended, and she asked me to call back the next day, which I did to let the Doctor know how the medication was working. When I talked to her, she tried to tell me that I told her what medication I wanted her to call in. I replied to her that I never told her what medication I wanted, since I am not a medical expert or even know the names of medication. She basically told me that I did say that, and told me that she was going to send a letter terminating my patient status at this clinic. When I tried to talk to her, shw would not let me talk or respond and she told me she was going to hang up the phone, which she did. I have never been talked to like that or basically called a lair. I am putting in a complaint in to the medical board, not reporting the Dr, but his wife !!!!. I had previously read bad reviews about her, but now I know. DONT GO TO THIS CLINIC.

Dr. Purgason impresses me as a physician with an excellent combination of assets. He combines his sound command of medical knowledge with attentive listening skills, empathy, and respect. I found his entire staff to be caring, attentive, helpful, & knowledgeable. In addition, one of the requests his staff insists upon is that I bring a list of all current medications that I take; this reflects his dedication to exemplary patient care by his need to know relevant information in order to provide me with sound medical practice and advice. This information is not tucked into my patient records on a tiny post-it note; rather, Dr Purgason deems it important enough to require me to list it on an 8X11 sheet of paper - I am glad that he cares enough to require this. He is sincerely concerned with the total well-being of his patients; he is the standard by which I compare all other health-care providers.

Horrible!!! My 83 yr old grandmother has see Dr. Purgason for 20 plus years. And only recently have I been helping her with all her personal matters, due to being unable to. She does NOT like seeing him at all!! He does not listen to his PT.. Her cardiologists is the one that has been treating her because he just pushes her off on him. And now we have a huge billing error, she has been charged the same amount every month for several months, so I called to inquire about it I was told, "Anytime the Doctor has to make calls or review labs or etc. they charge!" Okay but she she Medicare and private aid Sherance so she usually has no co-pay no deductibles very rarely anything out-of-pocket expenses. If you see this doctor you might want to check your invoice before you pay them, somethings not right!!! We changed her doctor needless to say!

My Husband had an appointment and he got caught up at work and forgot to reschedule (so sorry) well the lady from the office called and was VERY rude and said and I quote "you left the Doctor sitting for 30 minutes without a patient, we cannot reschedule" (very rude). ok I get that we should have rescheduled, I am sorry that we forgot, but dont call me being a rude B. DO NOT GO here if you want to be treated nicely. If I could have rated no stars I would have.

I just wanted too say thank you for taking care of me on my last appointment. Dr Purgason is a great doctor. Thanks also to the staff for prompt service in getting my prescription filled asap. I appreciate that more than yall know....
