I fail to understand all of the positive reviews. My husband picked this office from our in-network provider list for a wellness check. It took two weeks (2 entire weeks) to receive the results. It turns out they do this EXCESSIVE lab testing in addition to the regular Chemistry and Hematology. They use True Health Diagnostics for a "comprehensive" lab test. No one needs to know what your Omega 3 index is in order to asses your general health. When I found out that they wanted him to schedule (i.e PAY) for another doctors visit to "discuss his results", that was too much. His chemistry and hematology results were normal. His A1c is borderline elevated. This is where the diet and exercise lecture comes in. Other than that, there is nothing to discuss (and to be honest, if it were anything else that was abnormal, I would contact a specialist first before going back here). Why is this discussion not part of the wellness visit? You would think that it would be after they billed my insurance $4598.40 for labs plus $362 for the office visit. Thats $4960.40 for a wellness visit! This place is all about billing insurance and making money. None of his labs except his A1c was (slightly) out of range. They give you a pamphlet to describe their extraneous testing. They had to nerve to ask if I am a doctor - no, I am not, but I am medically trained and I have common sense - if all of his results are normal, why should we come in and pay for another visit? My own doctors nurse will call me to discuss results of my labs for FREE and will let me know if they want to repeat any tests or if they are concerned about any values. Were not coming back. As far as I am concerned, this lab test is a racket/ insurance money making scheme. Shame on you and your office staff for trying to bully us into paying for another appointment that is medically unnecessary. Addendum - Dr. Johnson had my Yelp review removed because I cited that the lab company he is using (True Health Diagnostics) bought Health Diagnostics Laboratory - they paid $47 million back to the government to settle kickback allegations in which doctors were paid to obtain these samples.

Dr. Johnson is knowledgeable and polite, I recommend him highly. Make sure though - DO NOT schedule to see his assistant, Erica... unless you like being blamed or told that she "isnt impressed" by your medical issue. Here is a real case with her. Before meeting Erica, I spoke to a nurse, and asked her question: "Does this office have staff who helps obtaining preauthorization for a medical procedure from insurance companies?" The reason for my question was that Ive seen doctors who ask patients to contact the insurance, so I was just curious. The nurse ignored my question, then Erica came in. I told her that my condition worsened over the weekend, here is her response: "Yes, but this doesnt give you a right to treat my staff badly". My eyes opened wide, so she goes: "The nurse got very upset when you ASKED HER TO OBTAIN THE PREAUTHORIZATION". Clearly, a misunderstanding took place, the nurse did not catch what I asked her, and it could be handled professionally and politely, but Erica assumes that she just may openly blame and judge the patient, like you are an enemy to her. Ridiculous and discouraging, isnt it? During my first visit, she said that my tumor "did not impress her". Yes, just like this, like patients come in to impress her with their medical issues, not to get helped . I know exactly what she was trying to say, but this way to communicate is unprofessional.

I find it very extremely frustrating when a patient decides to take to the Internet to voice their displeasure with my office staff. The most frustrating aspect is that we are legally handcuffed from giving our side of the story due to patient confidentiality as well as professionalism. So, that being said, I will say that there always are two sides to a story and we are not able to give ours. All, and I mean ALL, of the other hundreds of patients who have seen and been treated by our P.A., Erica, have lauded her over her listening & communication skills as well as her caring and empathetic attitude and demeanor. I state unequivocally that she will continue to be a part of my practice based both on the objective views of these countless & numerous other patients that are completely opposite the negative remarks and statement posted in another review. I wish, as Paul Harvey use to say, "and, now you know the rest of the story" but I am unable to do so. You make your own decision. Ignore my own "Loved It" rating as I actually can not post a no rating for this post but I find it difficult to put "Hated It" for fear of misleading readers I hate my own practice. I actually do hate the statements in the negative post on Erica.

I have been coming to this office for a few years now, and I have never had an actual complaint about the office. The staff is super friendly and polite. I see Lisa B, the PA, and I cannot say enough positive words about her. She is professional, yet still approachable, warm, and friendly. I have worked with the Nutritionist many times. She is extrodinarily knowledgeable, and kind. Dr J is a very professional and polite man - he knows what he is talking about, but wont talk down to you while explaining something techincal, which I sincerely appreciate. I love that this office works as a unit instead of as individual professionals. If the Nutritionist tells you one things, the PAs and Dr J will be in agreement and vise versa - this helps you get total care instead of a bandaid on a problem. I highly recommend checking out Dr J if you need a physician, or a nutritionist.

Ive been seeing Dr. Johnson for more years than either of us can count. His staff is always pleasant and willing to work with me and my family when we need to be seen. His nurses are amazing and have a wealth of knowledge. They have always been nothing but kind and solicitous to my familys needs. Lab work has helped uncover issues no other doctor has found and the nutritionist is great at working to find information for my special needs. The staff is so helpful in dealing with my insurance issues. If I needed to appeal a claim, they have jumped right in to provide the information to my insurance to help with the appeal. Dr. Johnson always seems to have information on new treatment options for my issues and is great at working with my familys problems as well. Hes a great doctor with a wonderfully positive staff!

Dr. Johnson and his team have exceeded my expectations. For an annual physical to include such a detailed and tailored evaluation and customized recommendations for my health was a pleasant surprise. Having followed the practices recommendations, my overall health has significantly improved (and I was normal to start with!), and I look forward to working with this group in the future. Communication has not always been easy (but I think this was a problem with my phone, not theirs), so I usually have to call back for follow-up myself. I appreciate working with a group that is willing to recommend, explain (with research!) and support lifestyle changes instead of just prescribing a medication.

Dr. Johnson and his staff are fantastic. I initially came to them out of necessity because they were close, but Ive now been a patient for nearly 2 years and I can say that they absolutely rock! Dr. Johnson and his PAs are focused on not only treating your medical conditions, but improving your overall health and quality of life. The medical staff is focused on keeping patients informed and usually I am given several choices in my treatment with the pros and cons of each carefully explained to me. The entire staff is highly professional and genuinely care about your well being. I can not say enough about this practice!
