Please be very aware when you take your children here!! I went for a visit. Everything seemed to be going well. Our dentist was nice and the atmosphere was good. Prizes for the children, video games, etc. But that is where it ended!! The dentist told me my 5yr old child would need 8 silver caps. 8! That is all the baby molars. When my jaw hit the floor that opinion changed to 6 with 2 fillings. At the "check-out" counter they were quick to schedule me the next week almost as if they didnt want to give me time to get a 2nd opinion. Lo and Behold I went to see my dentist who found 4 teeth didnt even have cavities!! And only one tooth needed to be capped and only 3 fillings. Where does a pediatric dentist get off with wanting to subject a 5 year old to get 8 silver (stainless steel) crowns??? And on top of that lie about non-existent problems?? The dentist at Shelly Clark said it was a preventative measure so there would be less bacteria in the mouth for when the permanent teeth come in. So, yes, lets get a mouth full of silver for the next 5-7 years (when kids are doing the most growing without having to deal with peer pressure) "just in case" and while we are at it, lets get all the rest of the teeth too. If they tell you something that doesnt feel right, get a second opinion!

Prior to taking my 4 y.o. to Shelly Clarks practice in Midlothian, I called asking questions. I was reassured that with young children they move at the childs pace. If the child begins to show fear, they will stop. Imagine my utter shock when Dr. Greene suggested I hold my crying daughter down so she could do her exam and apply the fluoride varnish. Restrain her at her first visit! Youre kidding! I asked if they had a stuffed animal to demonstrate what would be done to ease my daughters fear. They had none even though they told me this is something they do! I asked if my daughter could simply sit, reclined for her exam (she just didnt want to lay down in the chair). No, Dr. Greene insisted she lay down for the exam. Ridiculous! I had such high expectations for a Pediatric dentist to make a positive first experience and yet my daughter had a horrible experience, crying and telling me she never wanted to go back. I would NOT recommend the Midlothian office at all.

Hands down the BEST pediatric dentist! My son had an emergency and they saw him very quickly & provided TOP NOTCH service. If you want someone to invest in your child, care for them like their own, and make them a priority- this is the place to go! Dr. Shellys staff is amazing and they work together very well. Might I add, my son was not a patient there at the time of the emergency visit but he will be from now on! After my 3yr old son traumatically injured a tooth and had to have it removed, he STILL wants to go back and see all the ladies again- that is SUCCESS in my books! Thank you to all who helped us. We can never repay you for the positive impact on our sons life and the care and compassion you provided!

My 2 sons had their dental check ups and cleanings today at Dr.Shelly Clarks. The staff upfront were extremely helpful especially Laura she explained all my options very well and her attitude was very charming. When it was time for Dr. Clark to examine my boys I was asked to go back and have a thorough discussion about their overal dental health and discuss treatment options. Dr. Clark was very nice and her bedside maner was very soft and gentle .The assistants were great with my boys and my boys are excited to return for their treatment! I have finally found a superb pedo office ( kind of hard to find one)

Dr Lindsey and Kristen (i think is her name) was FABULOUS with my daughter. She had her first check up and 2 weeks later we came back for a filling/cap. She was nervous but Kristen and Dr Lindsey took such good care of her and calmed her down right away. They were so caring and patient!! I will continue to refer anyone with children here. I even grew up seeing Dr Glen and Dr Brian when Inwas younger. This is a great family and best dental office!!!

Please be super super careful using this office! They will not tell you that you are out of network until after they do work and you get a huge bill! They told me they took MetLife but left out that my MetLife plan would be out of network and now Im stuck with a ridiculous bill! Not even the cleaning was covered! Very very shady business!

Best childrens dentist out there! They are wonderful with my kids every time we go! I highly recommend them to anyone that has kids that are fearful of doctors offices. They keep my son calm and involve him so he understands that he is not going to be hurt. They are awesome!
