Today I had an appointment to have a new patient cleaning and exam with Chuong Do, DDS As I just moved here from Ohio. My teeth and gums are in very good shape as I am 49 years old and I see a dentist ever 6 months and have for years. I am one of those people who is a little obsessive about my teeth and health. When making the appointment there was some confusion about the price of the exam and what the initial exam included. The person on the phone couldnt seem to tell me however the price ranged between $39.00 as it says on the sign out front, and $105.00. I go to my appointment, fill out the necessary paperwork and I am seen quickly. The dental assistant preps me and takes 4 bite wing x rays. The doctor enters, introduces himself and begins an exam. he performs a procedure where he measures the distance between the top of my gums to the bone. This procedure is painful however I have had this performed before and it is not suppose to be. He notices a chipped tooth as well. Dr. Chuong then proceeds to tell me how bad my teeth and gums are. He goes in to a long and complicated explanation of how I need a "deep Cleaning" and the chip repaired. As I said, I am very obsessed about my teeth; thus I know I do not have the periodontal decay and "bleeding" he insists I do. He then shows me pictures on the wall of terrible gum issues insisting that is a fair representation of my gums. These pictures looked nothing like my teeth. I have experienced treatment like this before and decided I would just get the cleaning and find a new dentist. However it wasnt that easy. He left the room and his assistant came in to tell me unless I had the $650.00 in work he recommended they wouldnt do any thing. I asked about the regular cleaning, the assistant pretended not to know what I was talking about. I was very clear I wanted the cleaning that is recommended every 6 months. Again she pretended not to know to what I was referring. In frustration, I finally decided to leave and just pay the $39.00 as I was quoted for a new patient. However it wasnt $39.00 it was $50.00. Again the same girl pretended not to understand. She insisted the $50.00 was a discount and the $39.00 was full price. Deciding $11.00 wasnt that important I paid the $50.00 and left. By the way, no one seemed to be concerned that I was unhappy or that I decided not to have this clinic assist me with my dental issues. I noticed a response where the manager said they dont like to see patients leave unhappy however they couldnt find a patients name so the clinic found the negative feed back suspicious. I wanted to mention that wife and family have been patients to this dental practice over 5 years and are very pleased with the service, caring staff and price conscience dental fees this practice has given over all these years. This is a independently family owned practice and we intentionally wanted to avoid big chains because past bad experiences from big corporate owned practices. We have been happy with the dentists at this facility especially with their many years of experience. The comment earlier that mentioned the $50 fee had always been clear to me so I dont know understand the complaint. We have private insurance so we have never used it but this practice reaches out to patients that have difficulty meeting the fees and without any dental insurance coverage it can be overwhelming. This is an instance when someone (dental facility) tries to help out and gets complaints for it! That fee is a discount program that helps with future fees and I always thought that was considerate of the facility to reach out to patients without dental coverage. The facility is not as big as the big corporate owned owns but I find it on the cozy side, Again we are not looking for that. Our main focus was to find dental care that is painless, comfortable and good service. I have only good things to say about this facility and and am thankful to find a caring facility that looks after us and would recommend to others.

I thought this place was nice upon my first initial visit and then coming back to have my wisdom tooth taken out. The process went smoothly so I thought. I know it was going to take a while for the bleeding to stop but months later my mouth is still bleeding from a crack the dentist made in one of my fillings. I know it was the dentist because my mouth had never just randomly bled before and I found out there was a hole that was never there before! I went back about a month later so he could check because it was still bleeding even though I called to inform them about two weeks prior. I went in and he basically just blew it off all he was worried about was the extraction site healing properly. Ok thats good and all but you caused a new problem in my mouth!!! This happened in September 2016 Im now writing in May 2017 and mouth still bleeds randomly from the hole he made, looking to get it fixed soon! Blood is not good for your breath really pissed and regret going there. I couldve dealt with the wisdom tooth pain if I knew this would happen and also this causes aches and pains too!!! Redundant

I havent been to the dentist my whole life so as you can imagine i was freaking out about my visit. From the dental assistants to the doctors this place makes you feel very comfortable and they do not judge you. The girl in the front area is always smiling and even though I was kind of short with her she never lost her cool and explained to me everything that was going to happen and made me feel comfortable before I paid for anything or had any work done. The financing was very easy and they are not overly expensive like chain dentist office or specialist that are down the road from them. I feel like the price was fair for the work I need and I pretty much need my entire mouth to be worked on. What impressed me the most is that they actually listened to what I was concerned about as far as my smile and what I could afford. I think I have found my long time dentist. Dont be turned away by the outside (its kinda in a rinky dink shopping center), I promise you your experience with this practice will make you come back!

While at Affinity Dental I was able to experience a perfect balance between a professional staff with genuine concern. Dr. Ho was able to not only find a solution to my ache but also educated me on how to prevent from happening again in the future. To all of this we added a great conversation in regards to my personal career. I dont trust anyone else when it comes to my dental hygiene and I would recommend this office to my family and friends. I recently had my wisdom teeth removed. I was really scared just thinking about it, but the doctor did a great job! I am really happy with the work he did. I felt no pain during the extractions and I enjoyed my visit watching some Netflix. My mom and I are felt really comfortable with the Staff and the Doctor was really nice!!!! :D
