I want to be very clear that my 1 star poor rating is for the office staff, not the Dr herself. Dr. Schlichtemeier is the best pediatrician I have found so far. However, the office staff at Coppell pediatrics is the worst. My son was diagnosed with Rheumatic Fever recently. His last pediatrician told me the pain he was feeling in his knees was just from activity, and growing pains. Dr. Schlichtemeier went above and beyond and discovered my son had Rheumatic Fever, and has done everything possible to help my son. But the office staff is so horrible, that I would rather find a new pediatrician and start all over again than to ever step foot in that office again. Which is really sad, considering Dr. Schlichtemeier is wonderful. About a 2 months ago, I took my very sick son in to see her. I took the day off work for that specific reason. When I walked in, they refused to see him because I didnt have my sons insurance card. Which I understand its needed, but he was already an established patient, and they had all his insurance information. They didnt even give me an option to pay for the visit. I left very upset, and later received a call from the office apologizing for my "inconvenience". I accepted the apology, because I love Dr. Schlichtemeier. Yesterday, my children both had a check up scheduled at 10:30. I received a text confirmation, and a phone call. At 10:15, while I was in the parking lot, they called me to tell me my daughter missed her appt at 10 and they wouldnt be seeing her. Mind you, we usually spend a solid 30-45 mins in the waiting room anyway, and the children are usually seen together ANYWAY. Dr. Schlichtemeier is wonderful, if you dont mind dealing with the office staff. If she were at a different office, with office staff that can actually do their job, I would never take my kids anywhere else.

My child was sick with fever for two days and he also thugs his ears. I thought ear infection. I took him to the clinic and the doctor said " his ears looks okay and he does not have any ear infection..." she said " it is just a viral infection.." He was sick even after his doctors visit and 2 days after yellowish to white drainage start coming out of his right ear. I was really mad because my son was misdiagnosed by the doctor. I called and made another appointment the next day. She looked at him and she said he has otitis externa and she ordered him Ciprodex drop and washed his ear at office with hydrogen peroxide. I did not trust her judgement since she misdiagnosed him in the first place. I took him to ENT specialist, He said he could not see the ear because of the wax and he had to clean the wax first before he looked at the inside of the ear. So She misdiagnosed him because she was unable to see the inside of the ear due to the wax and my son would have ended up having perforation if i did not see the specialist. He said, he has extensive middle ear infection and he puts him on antibiotics. SO the doctor misdiagnosed my son twice. That looks like negligence and malpractice to me. I am changing pediatrician now.

The doctor is great! She is VERY thorough with every checkup. She truly cares and never rushes any appointment. I had a great experience with the office staff. They keep everything extremely clean in the office and seem to be organized. I will admit not all of them are friendly but they do get the job done correctly. I love the lady that typically works at the front desk. She is so friendly and welcoming every visit! At first I wanted to find a pediatrician closer to home but I love the staff and doctor so much that Im staying!

Ive been coming to this office since my baby was 2 months he is now 7 and I havent had any issues at all. What I really like it how they will return my phone calls in a timely manner! I dont have to call repeatedly to make sure they dont forget about me :). Would recommend to any new moms that are not very trusting, like me, because I trust this staff and its difficult to just trust any Doctor. Thanks for allowing my son to be your patient!
