I would have only given 1 star, but they do have a few great people which shouldnt be overlooked. Those people are Dr Laura McClendon, Dr Erin Bridgewater, and two RNs Deborah and Tom. The remaining office staff and other Drs Ive seen are not worth your time or money. When I first choose the place I saw the great reviews and a few scattered not so good reviews, but after seeing the office and meeting some of the Drs you definitely feel more comfortable. So with my first child I choose Dr Susan Crow. I got lucky that she was out having her first child around the time I had mine because I got to meet to Dr Laura in the interim. When I did finally get to see Dr Crow she was both cold and rude. She has the mentality that there is only one way to raise a child, and told me after 6 months of successful breastfeeding that I needed to stop because it was no longer necessary??? Apparently her text books were out of date. Then she barely spends time with your children which makes you wonder how she can provide a thorough examination when shes too occupied reprimanding you for nap schedules and nursing past 6 months. I luckily was able to switch Drs after another bad visit at 9 months and a sick visit. On to the office staff (only at the Independence location), they are short with each and every parent who comes in toting sick children, they visually act annoyed when you ask them anything after checking your child in. One time my older son was saying good morning to the receptionist and she not only ignored him but I said to her "he was saying good morning" which she forced out a smile to. If you dont like kids or cant put your emotions in check when you walk into work at a pediatric office then you shouldnt be there. Plus upon checkout while my son was grabbing two suckers one for him and one for his brother (who I was holding) the woman behind the desk tried to tell him he was only supposed to get one. I looked back and said he is only getting one and the other is for his brother (as if the dum dums cost her any money!). In addition after having a childs name changed (which my insurance approved and sent new cards for) the office did not accept without the final copy of the court order. I know this may not be an issue for many, but its ridiculous when every other entity where my childs name needed to be updated (school, insurance, dental office) I was able to do so with the OAGs paperwork but not with them. Oh and they cannot email invoices where theyve charged you money or upload them on your patient portal because it goes against policy. You either have to go into their office or wait for a paper invoice in the mail. To sum up my experience I wish the good and kind nurses and Drs worked for another practice because all of the other crappy and cold attitudes make it too frustrating to stay.

I recently moved to the area and need to bring one of my kids to the doctor for his annual exam and vaccinations. I called to make an appointment and they said they would not let me schedule an appointment until I provide them with the medical records from the previous doctor (who is in another state). I told them that I have the vaccine records and that should be sufficient to make an appointment, and I would work on getting the rest of the records before the appointment date. The receptionist refused to let me make the appointment and insisted that they must have the records before even scheduling an appointment. I asked why they have such a policy and why they need the medical records. They said its just their policy. I told them Ive never heard of a doctor refusing to schedule an appointment without medical records, especially a primary care doctor who doesnt NEED the records. I asked what would happen if I cant get the records and they said they would not see my son if that were the case and that I should go elsewhere. I told them its crazy that they would turn away a patient due to documentation that they dont need in the first place. They said its just their policy and they would not budge. I have never been so offended by the conduct of a doctors office staff, and thats saying a lot since every doctor and dentist has a rude office staff. They treat their patients parents like babies and have ridiculous medical record requirements that no other doctor has. Steer clear of this place, there are plenty of other pediatricians to choose from.

Horrible attitude! I called to find out if this pediatrics accept unvaccinated children, and the person who answered my call gave me such a horrible attitude without even knowing why my child is not vaccinated! She didnt even asked what was the reason we dont give him shots, she was just VERY RUDE and showed NO RESPECT for future patients. I guess I am "glad" that I have encountered such disrespect to our situation and definitely wont take my child here. For other people I would suggest same thing. Why would you take your child to a place that discriminates other children without even knowing their background? Very disappointed.

We love Dr. Erin Bridgewater!! We established a Dr./patient relationship before baby was born and she visited us in the hospital. We always feel welcomed at the office and never rushed. The nurses reply to calls quickly. Dr. Bridgewater spends plenty of time with us and makes sure all of our concerns are heard and taken care of. She has been our emotional support when we needed it and has partnered with us to keep our little one happy and healthy. We are so grateful!

The staff has always been so accommodating and efficient. Quick to respond to calls and Ive never been in the office more than an hour. Even when I was 20 minutes late to an appointment due to miss communication. They did everything they could to still see my child so I didnt have to come back. We see Dr. Bridgewater and love her! I have 3 children and love that she trusts me as the mom and has even gone out of her way to make sure Im doing okay.

I love everyone at centennial pediatrics! I just recently switched to Dr Bridgewater from Dr Nail (only because she is primarily at little elm instead of only being down here once a week) and I absolutely love her! She is so friendly, takes the time with us, and so knowledgable! We have loved every doctor weve seen here but are so happy that they are now in little elm and weve found a doctor we love!

If you have a lot of free time this is you place. This people took 30 days to check on my kids medical records to then tell me they cant give us and appointment because they still need more papers. RIDICULOUS!.
