This doctor is one of the worst. She was my childs primary physician many years ago and once for an ear infection she just wrote a bunch of medication, when none seemed to work she went nuclear and prescribed a very heavy antibiotic. This was supposed to be given in the middle of the night, imagine our feelings of waking an innocent child in the middle of the night just to give some nasty tasting medicine which was just a guess. Luckily we did this just twice before we took opinions from 3 other doctors, each one of whom said the dose was ridiculous not to mention that his ear infection had cleared!! So in fact she was just doing this crap to keep us coming, collecting her fees. This is disgraceful. She has a terrible personality and a very disgusting bedside manner, she talks to and treats people like voiceless creatures to tread on. Especially if youre a minority ,she takes this maternlastic attitude as if you arent equipped to even take care of your own kids, when she has none of her own to draw experiences from. We went one last time after the second opinions just to confirm that shes a fraud, she took the same tests and lo and behold she said the infection was still there! I wanted to punch her stupid face right then and there. We just laughed it off though. Theres a word for these kind of people, theyre called b*&**hes. Keep your loved ones FAR from this so called Dr.

After reading the poor reviews on Dr. Schlichtemeier, I want to clarify one thing: Dr. Schlichtemeier is not rude, and doesnt have poor bedside manners. She is very straight and to the point, and some of us parents appreciate that. She is a wonderful Dr, who actually cares about her patients. So much in fact, that she had the office manager call and apologize after they refused to let her see my son because I didnt have an actual insurance card on me when I went in. He was an established patient, and they had his up to date insurance info, I was just adding secondary insurance and had not received the card yet. They didnt even give me an option to let me pay for the visit out of pocket, which I would have gladly done just so my very sick child who has Rheumatic Fever could be seen. The girl at the front was extremely rude and looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language when I asked why he couldnt just be seen even if I had to pay for the visit and lose that money. I will say however, that the office staff is the worst I have ever, in my 7 years as a parent seen. I really wish the office staff was better trained, that would eliminate the pain of having to deal with them just to see Dr. Schlichtemeier.

Based on the poor reviews I read, I felt compelled to write an opposing view of my own. My daughter has gone to Coppell Pediatrics since she was born - she is now 14. At first we started with Dr. Schlichtemeier and at one point we switched to another pediatrician that was in the office due to her bedside manner, but eventually went back to Dr. Schlichtemeir because there is no better doctor when your child is sick. She caught two potentially serious illnesses with my daughter and made sure she got expedited care and she was extremely thorough in her follow-up. The wait for appts. is sometimes long, but it is the same at most doctors. I cant say enough about Dr. Schlichtemeier if your priority is good health care.

She saw my daughter after delivery at las Colinas. She is very rude and unprofessional. She claimed my daughter was jaundiced because she has very fair skin but her jaundice levels were fine. She is very prejudiced and racist. She made our stay at las Colinas a nightmare.
