I have been with Dr Caturays office for years and I like it. The actual doctors are great! Thats why I drive all the way from Cedar Hill to Grand Prairie. Unfortunately, now the office is all about just collecting money. My insurance covers 100% of my daughters annual well child visit and when I showed up for the appointment they would not see her unless I paid $25.00. For what you ask? Just in case she is sick. I assured them that she is not ill. I was informed that it didnt matter and that the fee had to be paid in order to be seen. No, they would not accept me paying before I left the office if something was discovered. I asked to speak with the doctor and the person who came out (not the doctor) AFTER AN HOUR said that in addition to the well child visit she will look for things that would be considered an illness. I informed her that we just wanted what the well child visit covered. She then told me that she was behind and had patients to see. Why are they behind when they totally disregarded my appointment? When I asked her if she was a doctor, she walked off and went to the back and did not come back out. I was told that there was no one in the office who could make the decision for my daughter to be seen for her well child visit. With my insurance there is no co-pay for a well child visit. They are collecting this $25, I guess, because billing the insurance company for check-up is not enough anymore. I am very disappointed that they did not honor my time, my patronage and my insurance. Customer service is a thing of the past for this office. I wish I could give 5 negative stars for the service I received today. They received one star from me because I had to click on at least one to post this. Today is 5/21/2016. I was just there last week with my other daughters well child visit and the result was total opposite.

I dont recommend this doctors office at all. The staff is horrible and extremely unorganized. They refused to see my daughter because they thought her insurance was not accepted after I had already been there for prior appointments. After sending me home, I talked to the office manager the next day and I was told that her staff was uneducated and needs to be further trained. I returned to the office that afternoon and turns out my child had pheumonia. My last doctors appointment for my daughter was at the end of September and I saw the nurse practitioner. I absolutely do NOT recommend anyone to see her. After waiting two hours after my appointment time, she walked in the room and didnt bother to introduce herself or ask me what was going on with my daughter. Instead of talking to me as the parent she was looking at my five year old child telling her she had an ear infection instead of telling the parent who has some clue as to what she is saying and tried to walk out of the room. No explanations and no information on how she is going to be treated. I stopped her before she left and asked her further questions and my explanation to her ear infection was "oh her ear is as red as that folder". Come to find out, I tried to make an appointment today and my daughter was terminated from the office due to the nurse practitioner complaint that I was supposedly disrespectful to her. None the less, none of the staff notified me of termination and I was unable to have the time to find a different provider or explain the visit from my side. If you make me wait two hours and try to walk out the door after just simply saying "oh you have an ear infection" then that is going to upset any parent. We are the voice for our children and I refuse to be treated that way. I dont recommend the doctors office. They are very unprofessional.

This place is HORRIBLE. my childs second visit there, the lady told me that i needed to call my insurance to do a provider change in order for my daughter to be seen or i will have to pay $75 for her visit and once i change the provider and get the confirmation number they will reimburse me . so i got the confirmation and called them to get my refund, the girl said i had to wait until the claim is paid which can take a minimum of 30 days. i said no and demanded to talk to a manager, and i got my refund. anyways THIRD visit which was today, for her shots, we were in the waiting lobby for an hour before they even called us back. we then got called back, and had to wait another HOUR just for a doctor to come in and measure her. after yelling at the staff about the wait time they told me 3 times that a doctor was on the way to our room. still after 30 minutes NO DOCTOR!!! i will be switching provider and never coming back!! so unprofessional and on top of it, the place you looks ghetto!!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!!

I love the Doctors here. They take care of our children and take time to listen and care if needed. NP Lemone is really good at answering all my questions very detail and when my teenage son isnt taking care of his health she will call him out on it most teens need it and it helps to back me up as well. My daughters love Dr Tran and Jamal. The only thing I would have to complain is front desk it seems someone new is always there. I am here waiting on shot records and people who are coming in way after me are getting seen as a Triage RN I understand patients need to get seen in by appt time but the girl wanted me to sit down and not stand near the desk I get HIPPA laws but click click print. There are other people working and they can help as well signing patients in or print my shot records for my son who is needing his DL. They need proof of identity from DPS office otherwise never had to complained bc things have gone well today very frustrated.

Highly disappointed. This has been the worst experience. I gave them 3 chances... As others said extremely long wait. Called to make a sick appt... Was told they couldnt get an appt for me until after her well baby... Which is in 2 weeks. They literally told me just go to the ER for a congested baby. Wow. 3 well baby checks and not once did we see the same Dr. They have to review a file or ask us to update them. Her first appt ever we were told she needed an ultrasound yet no-one ever called to schedule and they tell me the same thing every time - to wait for a call. Its been 7 weeks now. Ive called and it gives you the option to speak with a nurse yet none are ever available. Waiting room is disgusting and tons of undisciplined children coughing and sneezing and literally running around and screaming. If you care about your childs well being... This is absolutely not the place to go.

Most horrible experiences at this place. Every time I go, I have to wait 1-3 hrs just to get to the back of the room, & then have to wait 35 more min for the doctor to see my child. I remember one day I went it took over 4 hrs to get seen, My husband & I finally decided to leave & just go to the pharmacy in the clinic. When we get to the pharmacy window, theres an employee there sitting with his back turned against us, eating Wing Stop. Are you kidding me? What a joke. The whole entire office reeked of fried chicken. Please do your child a favor & dont take them to this ghetto hole in a wall. The only doctor I love here (which is the reason why I stayed so long) is Dr. Jamal. She is always so pleasent every time I see her. A wonderful doctor.
