Worst place to take an emergency case. I had a pit lab mix, named Keisha. One day (June 3rd this year) she was acting very tired and uninterested even towards her ball or leash. The next morning I go downstairs to see she crapped in the house twice. She is very good with housebreaking which surprised me she didnt go upstairs and bug me to go outside. Though on further look it was all in a thick puddle of blood. She needed emergency care the next day as she was still down in the weather. She whouldnt eat, wanted to sleep 24/7 and only drank water. So long it was still in front of her, any and all water was drunk. Even from the toilets which she never did. Banfeild told us she had a low blood platelet count and her immune system was attacking them. We were referred to 529 to get a blood transfusion. That was my first vet visit and it seemed ok but it was 5 minutes to closing (Banfeild had her for testing until 6) so I was turned away. Me and my step dad drove to many emergency vets and almost went to A&M which was 3 hours away. Around 3AM we stopped as no one else was open that we havent gone to. The next day Keisha was still alive but had lost all bladder control and if she had to go, even while asleep, she just went. We went back to 529 and got a transfusion only to hear that a few hours later, she was still attacking herself. The gave her meds and let her stay the night there to keep getting them every few hours. Though these guys wanted 2,500 per DAY she stayed. It was 2 days 1 night coming for a grand total of 6,500 just for making someone stay up and shove pills down her throat. It was 500 per transfusion she got (had 2 of them) which may of been a good deal since Vergi 24/7 told us itd be 5,000 to 10,000. However that makes me think their equipment is outdated. So they called us one day asking for another day. I said no as our funds were very very low now. It was only then this so called Doctor Ansari said they suspect blood AND bone cancer. I do not deny the blood cancer yet why withdraw this info until I cant afford any more? He said to test the bone for cancer whould be another 2,500. On June 11th it was over. Keisha was not getting better, was completely unresponsive to even water, and the sac that hold her insides off her skin was stretching due to it filling with so much blood. We took her back to 529 and had to put her down. I did ask them to make a clay imprint of her paws which they did thankfully and had a poster of her ink paw print that said "In memory of Keisha". They let us stay for her sedation but made us leave when they killed her. I was allowed back in, already upset and crying, but was even more shocked to see her half way inside a trash bag! They killed her and want make me see her for the last time in a trash bag?! That means all they did was toss her into a dumpster after I left! Even now Im fighting back tears but theyre winning. Its just that people must know to take their sick somewhere OTHER than this place. Its money driven and expensive. If you can keep paying, theyll help you with care. If youre struggling / dont then they will gladly push you aside or better yet tell you everything you should of known before. Oh by the way. The murder of my 1st dog, favorite playmate, and best friend... a nice kick in the face of $300. DO NOT GO HERE! Me and my new blue heeler puppy Ivy will go somewhere else for vaccinations and spaying. If they cant put a dog down right I certainly whouldnt trust them to do surgery on a weaker puppy.

I moved to another state and the state I moved to needs proof I had my dogs were fixed so I can register them. So I called 59 Vet clinic because I am not sure were I put this information, Plus it was 7 years ago. 59 Vet clinic: Sorry, we do not have long distance fax line. Me: Really?!?! Me: So can you scan and email it to me. 59 Vet clinic: I am not sure? Me: Okay, of course not. 59 Vet clinic: You have to fill out a release form before we can give you this information. Me:But I can verify who I am, but I have to jump hoops just to get the paper work. 59 Vet clinic: Its the law Me: Okay, but you cannot fax, and you dont know if you can scan, so how do you think would be the best route to get me this information? 59 Vet clinic: I am not sure, I would have to ponder that thought. Me: Just mail me the release? "This clinic is very expensive and they cannot fax me my information and they could not tell me if they could scan it to me? My information, because remember, I paid for this service,". I understand if I had to sign a release, but at least have a fast and easy way to get me the information. I bet, after I send in the release, they will tell me I have to pay for a copy of the paper work. I bet they have a credit card machine to charge me for it, but they cannot afford a long distance fax machine. My first experience is when I first moved to Katy and one of my cats had a puffy ear because he had scratched it. I was so worried because his ear was so swollen. So 59 vet clinic is closest and so I was new in Katy, I did not know any difference. He charged me $900 for the surgery and wanted me to bring my cat every 3 days so he can charge me for him to use his new tool on my cat. I had another cat that had the same problem a few years later. I took him to KAAWS. They told me my cat only needed pain medication, because the body would heal the ear. Me: No surgery? KAAWS: No. So I was taken advantage of by 59 Vet Clinic on a service I was charged $900, PLUS follow-up visits on a service that my cat did not even need. This is why as soon as KAAWS opened up, I took all my animals there as well as CrossRoads Vet clinic. You do not mess with people who have pets, because animal lovers, their pets are like their children. So people like 59 Vet clinic take advantage of people and the love they have for their animals. My advice, go a half a mile up and go to KAAWS or go a mile up and go to Crossroads. The best thing for this clinic to do is close its doors.

DO NOT FALL PREY TO THESE VULTURES! At first, I was pleased with the examination of my new puppy and the prices of the service I received 4 weeks ago. On the first visit, the vet told me my puppy had both round worm and hook worm and offered one fix-it-all pill for $20 and another medicine that was way out of my price range. I was given a stern talking about how important it is to act now to prevent later. I told him that the owner of the puppy had given her a de-wormer and flea medicine a week before I picked her up. Since she had already had her de-wormer given one week prior, I didnt want to give her anything else for fear it would cause a side-effect. He insisted that if a vet didn’t give her the medicine, it didn’t count. I then doubted what the vet said he saw, as I had not seen any worms in her poo and havent seen any in the last 4 weeks that Ive had it. Today, I took her back for her second exam and set of shots. He didnt examine her at all. The nurse took her weight and temperature then he came in and gave her the shots and walked out of the room. He didnt ask me questions or ask if I had any concerns or questions. So, I asked the nurse if I could speak to the vet really quickly. I asked if he could check her again for worms before I gave her anything else. At this point he became agitated and snapped at me. He raised his voice telling me that he wasnt going to waste his time testing if I wasnt going to buy the de-wormer from him. I was caught completely off guard! I asked if I could come back for her last set of shots in a month and get a prescription for the 3 in 1 worm, tick, and flea chewable. He declined and said he wouldnt help anyone that didnt buy the medicine he offered. Now, I dont know what vets make and I am far from an expert on that kind of work but I think this guy was completely out-of-line and his primary focus was on the green dollar and not the health of my puppy. If he doesnt want to help people that cant afford his overpriced worm medicines and at least bring him business by getting their shots, then I have no desire to take my puppy there again. Sadly, he just lost out an opportunity for another set of shots, rabies shot, and spay. Ill take my business elsewhere, find a vet that will treat me like a human being and give me the prescription I need to make sure I have a healthy animal. There was no need for his tantrum. I now firmly believe this place is a fraud and shouldnt be caring for pets.
