I have been taking my dog Keoni here for a little while since moving to the area. I have no issue with the overall care he is given. The Front desk and medical staff are wonderful and seem caring and genuine. However it seems that either they lack the ability to pay attention to detail or are just so busy that small things fall through the cracks CONSTANTLY! Two examples. The very first time I took him to be boarded I requested that he be given a bath. Once I returned home I realized I had left his shampoo here at home so I immediately called and asked that his bath be cancelled. I was assured it would be but upon picking him up he had indeed been bathed. A week of dry itchy skin and allergy meds but he is of course just fine. Nothing devastating. This second time I took him to be boarded I asked that he have what they call a Furminator treatment because He is a Husky and blowing his coat. I dropped him off on Friday evening and picked him up Sat evening. He was dropped off too late to be bathed Fri so it was done Sat. When I picked him up it was QUITE OBVIOUS that there had been no grooming or undercoat raking given. Simply the bath. There is no way this much fur and this many fur "puffs" would be in the EXACT same place as they were when I dropped him off. He was obviously rinsed, possibly topical shampoo applied for fragrance and thats it. I have an undercoat rake I bought at WalMart for 6 bucks and when I bathe and rake him at home there is NOT ONE STRAY HAIR for up to a week! They really expected me to believe that this was the result of a PROFESSIONAL treatment only a few hours after a bath and treatment. I dont think so. If he was raked or so called groomed it was either half-assed or done with someones Grandmothers Wig brush. Ridiculous. Now the Furminator treatment is like 17 bucks, the smallest charge on my bill so With a $2000.00 dog, of course the cost is not the issue. Being lied to in my face is. There have been other instances of things overlooked and I have just grown tired of having to scrutinize THIS business to ensure that all services I requested were rendered. I gained copies of his records and am seeking a new Vet Facility. This is a wonderful place with caring people and staff......as long as you are standing in front of them. Once you leave your pet the real services begin. PAY ATTENTION!

I brought my two Great Danes to the clinic yesterday for a veterinary dental cleaning. I used a website coupon and got a good price, which is really important for heavy dogs like mine. Everything is expensive for them, so Im always on the lookout for ways to save. My Danes are 5 1/2 and 3 1/2, so their teeth were somewhat dirty, but not really diseased. But their breath had gotten to the backed up sewer, hold your breath stage! I was really impressed with the clinic. It was clean and organized. The staff was so friendly and nice to my dogs and myself. They booked us quickly for the appointment and were able to get both dogs in the same day. They demonstrated caring and concern for them. I brought them in early in the morning and picked them up late afternoon. When I picked them up, Dr. Walker talked to me about their condition, and he was also very kind and friendly to me. I will definitely bring them to St. Francis for their next dental exam.

Full of regret, my dog gets visible unhappy, stinky and just unhealthy 2times we boarded at this location. Second time I boarded him for the weekend and when I came back and picked him up he was limping and looked so thin so took him to the doc on Monday he lost 5lbs in just 2 days. Fortunately I had to take him to the vet on Friday the day I boarded him for a regular visit, So I had reference points to see the difference in weight loss. I fed him on Friday before boarding, I just dont think he was given food or water over the weekend. I will not trust my dog here, isolated incident or not it is not acceptable. Since there was nothing wrong with him except loss of weight I did not pursue at all, I opted for peace of mind by deciding to never go to them. Its just a "cold" place. Unfortunately, we havent had much success in finding a decent dog daycare. We moved from Denver a much different place for dogs.

Be aware that this vet makes extensive profits from prescribed medications. A quick suggestion is to get the name of the medication being prescribed and then check 1800petmeds to get a significantly reduced rate. To get barely a 5 minute "exam" from the doctor and antibiotic prescription you will pay a premium. Also, this vet is always quick to suggest surgery; I would recommend getting a second opinion before you waste $$$ on costly and likely unnecessary surgery. I have used All Pets Animal Hospital in Katy before and have been very happy with their services. Their vets CAME TO MY HOME to help my dog with an orthopedic issue for less money than what I just paid at St. Francis for a "drive-by" style exam and massive antibiotic upcharge. Ill be switching to All Pets Hospital permanently and suggest you do the same.

I had recently adopted a dog from CAPS and had not established a vet for her yet. While at the local dog park, her and another dog got into a fight which left my Caseys front paw ripped open. As soon I got home I began calling local vets and everyone I called could not see her until the next day and they all referred me to a 24 hour clinic. The last call I made was at 630pm to St. Francis and although they were about to close at 7pm, the receptionist to told us to come in after I explained what happened. Not only did Dr. Walker take great care of Casey, but he even offered to keep her overnight at no extra charge. I am blessed that I have found a vet who isnt just trying to make $$, but who actually cares and took the time to explain everything. I have finally found a permanent Dr. For my babies!!

The staff at St. Francis is so amazing! Dr. Walker and all the girls are kind, caring and compassionate. We recently had to put our sweet Tiffany to sleep and there was not a dry eye in the place. Dr. Walker is an exceptional, knowledgeable and extremely kind Dr. My sweet pup was always given the very best care here and this is the only vet office she had ever been to that she was not nervous about going. All the girls are loving and so sweet! I highly recommend this vet office to anyone who regards their pet as a family member. Dr. Walker and team are the best in the business!

My Italian Greyhound has been a regular at St. Francis since before it was a BestFriends location. I cant recommend them enough, and have to admit they are the standard by which I judge all other day-cares hes had to stay at during travels. The staff there are amazingly attentive, and very observant. He is prone to seizures and is deaf, so trusting the people he is in the care of is very important to me - and they have 100% of that trust! BestFriends continued, and improved upon the family owned atmosphere of St. Francis, and will always be Hazens favorite place to spend the afternoon!
