The optometrist himself is great, but other than him the staff is terrible. I was changing jobs so needed my prescription filled before the insurance switched, which I told them and they said it wouldnt be a problem. Except they never ordered it. After moving I needed to have the prescription faxed to a place where I live, but when I called them they had forgotten to file my records, which basically forces me to have another exam 2 months after I just had one. If its convenient then go, the Doctors great, just make sure you get the prescription and take it anywhere else because the staff is terrible.

I am an optometrist from Fort Myers, FL. I observed Dr. Newman one day while I was in Dallas visiting family. He is one of the best doctors in the country at treating patients with medically necessary contact lenses (which I do as well). He has written many articles etc. on the topic. He is very knowledgeable about all aspects of vision and medical eye care. He has a good bedside manor. I highly recommend Dr. Newman.

Over the four years Ive been a patient, hes gone above and beyond in diagnosing a few issues, and made me feel completely informed and at ease in light of them--such a nice change! I started coming to Dr. Newman because it was conveniently close to my work. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is rushed, the service is mediocre, and Dr. Newmans bedside manner leaves much to be desired. Lets face it -- eye appointments are never pleasant, but my experience with Plaza Vision Center was nothing to write home about. I will not be back.

Not only a great professional, but also a very human individual. Our 10 years old son did not go to a regular doctors appointment, but rather to visit a buddy that would help him see better. Let me start by saying I tried the CRT contacts and they didnt work. But I was very pleased with the way Dr. Newman handled everything. He was a smart guy and gave me a partial reimbursement that was very fair. Highly recommended.
