The only positive comment is that office is new and luxurious. I took my son there hoping for more expert care than the optometrist at a Target. My son has a congenital eye disorder that requires that more time spent on eye examination for glasses. Before I could finish the paper work, he was whisked away and tested on the "state of the art equipment" that is not covered under insurance and comes with a healthy price tag. After listening to the sales pitch on how great this equipment is, I pointed out his eye condition, which forced the Dr. to actual review the results. Just as I pointed out, the "state of the art" equipment did not capture his measurement. Amusingly, the baffled Dr. said we would not be charged for this test. The disinterest I felt during the examination and the high pressure sales to purchase over priced childrens glasses gave me a overall less than satisfying experience. eta: Actually UberCoon, there wasnt any reason to cause a scene or raise a ”fuss.” I knew I could find another Dr. that would be better suited for us, so I just paid the bill and never came back. I was only compelled to write a review when they recently spammed my inbox with a request to write a review.

Staff, service, store and selection were great. Prices were comparable to any other provider. Sales pressure was a bit heavy but despite that everything else was great. While doing all the usual tests before the eye exam they had me do the Optomap retinal exam (new version of eye dilation) without telling me what it was or if I would be charged for it which made me extremely nervous. However, after the whole eye exam was complete the Dr asked me if I would like to see the results of the optomap and that I would not be charged unless he opened it in the office with me. Surprisingly it was cheaper than my previous optometrist (I believe $39 here compared to $100). One other thing that raised suspicions was that they requested my medical insurance along with my vision insurance. I dont know why they needed it or if they actually provide a type of service where it would be covered under medical but I feel its a little unusual for an optometrist to need medical insurance info.

I like Dr. Patel. Have taken both of my kids to him as well as going myself. May continue to go to him for exams but I had an unfortunate experience with my glasses. Picked out the frames and ended up not liking the color of them after receiving them, so I contacted them three days later. They have an "all sales final" policy but I called to discuss options with them (I know the frames come in other colors so I was hopeful they may offer them as a discount if not swap them out). No such luck. Business manager just said all sales final. That was end of discussion. Ill look for another optician (among the 50+ in the Frisco / Plano area that sell high end frames) for future purchases. This is one of those situations where you locked in profit on a single transaction at the expense of future business. So, 5 stars for Dr. Patel, 1 store for the optical sales.

I had an appointment with Dr. Ajay Patel in September of 2014. He was very thorough in diagnosing my eye infection, and called a couple of days after to check up on my recovery. He prescribed a new set of contacts than what I was wearing to better fit my needs, and let me try them out for a week before deciding to go with the brand. Dr. Patel has great taste in glasses, so make sure you get his opinion if you find yourself looking for a pair. They have specialty sales ever so often, so check and see if they have any of those in the near future. The front desk knows me by name, and is very friendly and efficient. Low wait time. Call in prior to see whether they take your insurance. If there was such a thing as luxury eye care, this would be it.

My experience with Eyes of Starwood was amazing! The staff was very friendly and made me feel like family as soon as I walked in. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting. The doctor was very knowledge and explained everything clearly to me. Usually at medical offices I feel rushed through the exam but I did not feel like that here. Everything was very smooth and efficient. I had the OPTOMAP done and it was so interesting to see the back of my eye and learn about all the different parts of the eye. They had a great frame selection and the contact lenses prices were very comparable to the online store I usually buy my contacts from. I will definitely be recommending them to all my family and friends.

Dr Patterson and team are AWESOME!! As soon as you step foot in the office you are greeted with genuine smiles. The environment is friendly, comfortable and the extremely clean. The team is super helpful and is extremely knowledgeable. Dr Patterson has the state of the art equipment and keeps me looking great! I love to come for my yearly exam and tell all of my co-workers about my great experience. Almost everyone in my department goes to Dr Patterson. Again I had a awesome experience and everyone I know has one too! Definitely worth your time and effort. Besides you get a great pair of glasses or contacts and the selection is phenomenol!

Dr. Patterson has always been very responsive to my ever-changing prescription. Its so fun when it changes based on hormone levels... Her staff has had some turnover, which makes for inconsistencies at times, but Deb is always there to hold it together no matter what. I was very impressed with the level of service when my teen daughter couldnt find the right frames. They allowed her to browse online and help select frames that other girls woudl want! I do get tired of paying for the extra "state of the art" eye screening, though dilation is not high on my list of favoirite things so I do it. I definitely recommend her!

We have been seeing Dr. Patterson for over a dozen years when we were reffered to her in Garland. We have followed her from there to Rockwall to two different places in Frisco which is about a 50 mile drive. She, Deb and the staff do all optomotrist things that you go in for very well. They also want to be sure they take care of you as a person when you come through thier door. They dont just take care of customers, instead they take care of people who are welcomed in. You wont go wrong by letting Dr. Patterson and her staff take care of all your eye needs.

My son and I have been seeing Eyes of Starwood (fna Vision Eyeworks) for about 4 years now. They are always very nice. I enjoy the doctors as well as the other personel there. My father had Macular Degeneration and was legallly blind from his mid-twenties on so I always want the best eye care for my son and I. I have grown to trust them as they are so helpful and thorough talking me through the whole procedure everytime so that Im informed on the condition of our eyes.

I love this office! I had my first eye doctor appointment ever back in June. Dr. Patterson was amazing at making me feel as comfortable as possible and explaining everything to me in detail. The ladies at the front desk were amazing as well and made me feel so welcome! The quality of my lenses and frames were superb. I cant say enough good things about this office. Definitely family oriented. Will return for all of my eye care needs!!
