The staff is rude, the doctor is rude, and the care is subpar. Each visit feels rushed, as Dr. Salguero cannot be bothered for too long. The wait times are horrendously long (we have had to wait more than 3 hours before being given a room, and then you wait an additional 30 minutes to an hour before a doctor sees you... and it often isnt the doctor, its one of the many nurse practitioners who work there for 2 weeks and then mysteriously disappear). He prescribes medications without fully explaining the benefits and risks, and he prescribed my child two medications that affect blood pressure. He didnt notice his mistake until I pointed it out. You can tell he does not really want to be bothered, and his nurses are rude and incompetent (all except for the ladies who schedule appointments at the very front). The nurses take hours (sometimes up to 4 or 5 hours) to call in prescriptions and refills. Appointments are overbooked. Dr. Salgueros bedside manner is atrocious. He doesnt make the children feel comfortable, and he is not very patient or kind. I had to get terse with him on more than one occasion for the crude and callous manner with which he handled my child. The office is filled with religious tracts, paintings, and such. What you believe is your business... but unless you work in a church, the building you work in should not be covered with religious tracts, magazines, and traumatic paintings of people going to heaven and hell (and in the vaccination room no less!). There is a large white nurse practitioner who is very rude, as well. None of the medical staff seem to listen very well. I am SO glad we found a much better doctor, and only a short distance away from this hellhole.

I put up with his practice only because I al ways asked for the nurse practitioners. I just think that Considering that he is childrens doctor he should be more gentle with them. He is just so rude, rough, and he acts like he has some where to be when he comes into the exam room after making you wait a whole hour or more, or sometimes even forgets about you. Today we went in just for a 9 month check up and my baby was crying more than when he gets shots. He even made him bleed when he was checking his throat, and still had the nerve to say that he wasnt rough with him. After making you wait for an hour or more he cant even come in prepared, he never reads the charts, and doesnt even know why we are there for. He cant even call my baby by his name! When we walked in the receptionist also handed me a questionnaire form asking how my baby is doing. Yes, I took my time to fill it out and she told me to hand it to the doctor. I handed it to him and he didnt even take a glance at it!? I took the time to fill that out and he couldnt even skim through it! He didnt even give me information of how he is developing with his weight or height, yes I could have asked for questions but he didnt even offer a chance to ask anything. I could keep adding to this complaint list, point is I dont even know why he choose to practice with babies/kids if you are going to treat them like that. If you love your little ones I dont recommend him at all. I do have to add that the receptionists and nurses are not the problem, just Salguero. He doesnt even deserve a star at all.

Where do I begin: my son was diagnosed with pneumonia twice within the same month. The 3 times I took him to dr.salguero that month, they continued to say it was "just a runny nose" and sent us home with an allergy medicine. I had to take him to Childrens in Dallas for the correct diagnosis and treatment. The nurses do not know a THING. They mixed up prescriptiona and the response I got is "I dont know, ya know?" If your appointment is at 9 a.m. and youre theready at 8:45, you wont get seen until 11:30, then they rush you so they can get to lunch. Biggest negative here. The doctors and nurses do not listen to you. You are the parent and will try to explain your childs symptoms, etc.. they will cut you off and jump straight to a quick diagnosis to get to the next patient that wasore than likely double booked at your same appointed time. You will wait hours to get seen, more than likely will be the wrong diagnosis because they wont listen to you. The office staff is rude and unprofessional. I will never ever take any child of mine there again and would not recommend them to anyone. Oh! I asked to split my sons vaccinations so that he wouldnt get them all at the same time. The nurse did not care. She gave him 5 shots at once. I cannot tell you enough: run from this place

Ive used this office for 6 years, and over the years the office has gone down hill. My daughter had blood work done, I have to call to get the results, and all they tell me is, we are waiting for the Dr to review them. We had the blood drawn the day before. We left the Dr office with no meds or guidance on what to give her. 430pm the next day, I still dont know what to give her!

Horrible service! Ive never seen a doctor handle a child like dr Salguero did today! He honestly does not care and just wants to be in and out. Im never taking my daughters there again! Oh and the wait time is about 2 hours to be seen and for just dr salguero to go in and out in 5 minutes. Whats the point of having an appointment at a certain time.
