I first met Dr. Allen when I had stopped menstruating. She seemed very well knowledgeable and explained I had PCOS. She put me on Progesterone and then Clomid as I was trying to have a child. I was NEVER monitored on Clomid except the first month to see if I was ovulating. The second month I returned to her office with EXTREME pain. I am nervous about doctors and wont go unless it is a HUGE problem. She spent less then 5 minutes with me and said if you want to have a child you will have to deal with it! When I got to my car I was in tears! I went back 2 months later again with horrible pain. She had no clue who I was and said I had been on Clomid for 4 months so she couldnt do anything for me and that I should see a Specialist. She also said if I wanted they could do a sonogram to see what was going on. They dont have a sonogram machine at their Flowermound office so she sent me to Lewisville. I had thought I was getting one done 2 days later then realized they had scheduled me for 2 weeks out. This would be fine if I wasnt in SEVERE pain! I called back and asked if anyone in their practice could see me sooner. I was told "No no we dont do that. We dont switch between doctors." I politely hung up and lost it. My friend gave me the name of her Doctor who saw me the next day, performed a sonogram and found a HUGE 10cm Endometrioma cyst taking over my left side and back side. I am very petite! The new doctor felt the endometriosis scars immediately and couldnt believe that Dr. Allen had missed it! The new doctor listened to me and spent over an hour talking to me, she had me in surgery within the week and my pain in my back is now completely gone! Please dont waste your time with Dr. Allen! She misdiagnosed me and never performed a sonogram in the first place to see if I did have a cyst. I dont want anyone to ever have to go through what I did!

If you want someone who values health over making a quick buck, look elsewhere. My rating for 1 star is because Dr. Allen might be a good doctor but the office she works at screws people over on a daily basis. Their complete lack of concern for the issues I was dealing with and my health has caused me to cancel all future appointments with them. This decision was based upon multiple incidents by them, from messing up scheduled appointment times to not refilling my prescriptions after they took my money to have them refilled at my annual checkup. If you do still go with this doctor then hopefully your visits will be better than mine have been. Best of luck.

I was 2 weeks late for delivery and instead of recommending c-section instead of vaginal delivery, It caused my son to have ACF- asymmetric crying facies during delivery and this is for LIFE! Ill be talking to lawyers about this , since now he is 17 month old and when crying, saying uhhh, his left side of lower lip is not symmetrical, and no one in the family has had history of this condition.

Vicki Jo Allen is a very cold and condescending. I was having a miscarriage right in front of her and she told me I wasnt even pregnant. I had a horrific ordeal miscarrying and the office later called to verify the pregnancy. How can an Ob/Gyn misdiagnose a 5+ week pregnancy?? I will never recommend anyone to her. Go to her at your own peril.
