I made Dr. Johnson Bryan my PCP back in 2003 when I moved to Frisco, TX. In a history of 6 years I never needed Doctors services, I had been perfectly healthy. The last I saw this doctor was 2 years ago and couple of times before that. In the beginning of march 2009 I had not been feeling well. So I went ahead and made an appointment with Dr. Bryan Johnson in Frisco on March 16th. They gave me April 17th, 2009 date to see doctor. All of a sudden On march 24th, I had bad pain and shortness of breathing problem in my chest and at 11 am I had called and request for my HMO referral to Dr. Johnson telling them that I am going to see Legacy heart center in Plano in the afternoon at 1:30 pm. First Dr said that yes I can go ahead and see the heart center. I waited until 2:00 pm at the counter at legacy heart center and then at 2:30 pm clerk told me that Dr. Johnson Bryan has refused to give my HMO referral because I did not see them for 2 years. I called Dr. Johnson immediately and asked If i can come over to see you right now because I am dieing of heart pain. Dr. Johnson s office said we dont have time to see you right now, you can come on April 17th. They said they can put me on cancellation list. Now, I went head and paid 354 dollars on my credit card to see heart specialist and get my EKG done. This doctor Johnson Bryan is useless and had costed me paying 354 dollars, at non of my fault cuz i had already made an appointment with him on March 16th, prior to this incident. He did not want to see me when I am dieing. He did not want to send me referral either. I have changed my PCP and I am alerting other people about this Doctors services and How I feel about him. A horrible, non-cooperating and uncaring doctor !

Dr. Bryan Johnson and Stonebriar Medical Associates P.A. have shown gross negligence in caring for my 83 year old father battling multiple infections. My father was taken by ambulance to Baylor Scott & White - Centennial on Tuesday and was diagnosed with diverticulitis. Dr. Johnson advised my dad should be discharged at 1 a.m. and see him at his office that same day. First thing yesterday I made an appointment for my dad to see Dr. Johnson at 4:30 p.m. Early in the afternoon, my dad was in severe pain and fell. I called Dr. Johnsons office and was told not to take him to the ER but to keep the 4:30 appointment. We sat in his office for 1.5 hrs after our scheduled 4:30 pm appointment time and my father was never seen by the doctor. I repeatedly asked the staff when my dad would be seen. I was told by the nurse that she had knocked on the door of the of the exam room Dr. Johnson was in and he refused to answer. I cant imagine why a doctor would be in an exam room and not open the door to his own nurse for 90 minutes. Finally, Sam couldnt tolerate sitting in the uncomfortable exam chair any longer and we had to leave. Now he is doing much worse and has been admitted to the hospital and will need treatment for several days. I am beyond furious at the level of "care" my father has received from Dr. Johnson. Dr. Johnson has yet to contact me or to reach out to get an update on my father who has been his patient for years.

Dr Johnson referred me to a surgeon that was not covered by my network. I would at least expect that in the event that they are the ones making the referral in a semi-urgent situation that they would act in the best interest of the patient. This incident cost me $1039 becuase of using an out of network referral. It would have been covered 100% becuase I had met my out of pocket Max with the hospital bill. My fault for assuming but again, this would be a normal assumption based on the fact that this is their profession and should have knowledge of insurance providers. Secondly, I came into the office in pain. It was my first ever UTI and because of a misdiagnosis by the PA, I was sent over to an imaginng center and paid $171 and $60 in copays. They even had a urine sample. I was told to see my OBGYN the next day after no return call until 3pm and he was able to diagonose me within two minutes of knowing my symtoms alone. 2 days of pain, missed work, and a lot of money later, I began to share this story with my therapist who shouted out the diagnosis again within 1 second of telling him what happend. A therapist. I will not go back to Dr Johnsons office. It is too costly to risk these mistakes again. I am angry and poor now!

Short and sweet, Dr. Johnson is a GREAT Dr. the kind that will sit and listen to you and review every aspect of your situation to diagnose you correctly. He is very caring, has great bed side manners and over all you will leave satisfied of having spent meaningful time with a Dr. that wants to help you and truly cares for you. Now the Office staff is sometimes rude and getting an appointment with him for a urgent matter is almost impossible. They also have a hard time doing referrals and their knowledge of insurance coverage and such will greatly vary depending on who answers your call. It works for me because Im a healthy person and I get to see him for an annual checkup and maybe for a sore throat or so, but if you have a condition that requires you to see this Dr. on a monthly basis, I dont know if this is the practice for you. I give him 4 stars because he is truly outstanding, but the office staff and long waiting times ruins the overall experience.

I wish I could give negative stars. This is by far the worst Dr ever. The practice is shady and the charge you outrageous amounts for simple procedures. Please please please do not Vist this location. I went in because I am pregnant and I was having a bad sinus infection. I tried to file FMLA for the time off my doctor told me to take from work and then they tried to charge me $200 to fax in paper work. They also gave me medicine last year that almost impaired my vision permanently after I had taken one of thier genetic testing to better pair me with medicines AND TRIED TO CHARGE ME $800 FOR THE TEST. DONT GO HERE, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY!

Dr. Johnson is a wonderful person, but he overspends time with each patient creating a ridiculous delay in appointments. I have been on time for every appointment I have ever had with him and always end up spending up to 4 hours at each visit. The head receptionist (Debbie) is cranky and uncooperative and can be inflexible in trying to help work out a short notice or urgent situation. When calling him sick I have been given appointments over a month away; at that point I no longer require services of a Dr. Some form of time management and Dr. Johnson releasing some control over to a partner would go a long way in making it a more satisfying experience.
