I wish I had read the reviews before we went... Idve kept looking. Apparently (judging from the reviews) it helps if you work for another physician; that reviewer is an RN, as am I, and my experience was iffy. I did read that review and I have to share here that I did not see a single nurse, nurses aide, medical assistant, nursing assistant, nothing. He has a guy with a first name on a tag--no credentials. So I dont think there are nurses there. But, as I said, I am one.... First, the new patient forms do not contain anything about who they can share your info with (like every other doctors office!). So you wait, if you want your spouse to handle everything (as my engineer husband does-and I would not want to be stuck hearing geek-speak about my computer or internet, so that usually works out well). Second, who in their right mind doesnt use buffered lidocaine n this day and age? There is no reason not to--it is cheap, and it keeps lidocaine from hurting so much. Dr. Weisberg can well afford it, and it isnt like its a controlled drug or would have any kind of effect other than comfort! I asked, and I was told, "you know how cheap lidocaine is? you know how many of these syringes we draw up every day?" (this from the--I dont know what he is, he is certainly not licensed or certified, assistant maybe?). This is why they *cant* use buffered lidocaine. Third, they apparently do not send consultation notes to the PCP without you asking specifically for them to do that, which would not only be convenient but consistent with best practices. Four, a tiny piece of superficial skin tissue was removed from my husbands shoulder, looked like nothing. Dr. Weisberg never said it looked like anything, and if it looked like something, hes a specialist and he should know what it was. I think he did it in order to charge Medicare for an extra procedure. When asked why he didnt take the whole thing off, he answered, because if I dont know what it is, I dont know how much to take off. Fact is, if it was something bad (which it wasnt, apparently), and he cut into it, he opened the door for spread and that would be very very bad. This "lesion" (barely) was less than a millimeter in diameter. He could have taken the whole thing off with a nice margin of clear tissue and the report would have read "blah blah blah with clear margins." Im a little surprised we didnt get a stitch in order to have to come back to have it removed! But you have not lived until you see their release of records, which is apparently what is required in order for them to speak anyone in your family (or whoever you designate). Is there a place on the form for that? No, only the "release of medical records." Is there a statement that says the authorization will expire in a year, which has been a part of the law for, what, ten or more years now? No. But there is (heres your laugh for the day) a line that reads "I am aware of HIPAA regulations." So now everyone is a lawyer? Or a healthcare provider? And they dont even put their fax number on the form. There were so many things wrong with this whole experience that we will NEVER be back. I could say I liked Dr. Weisberg personally, but he seemed very hurried, very rushed. And if, as an earlier reviewer stated, he thinks removing moles that are under clothing and are rubbed to the point of irritation, much less bleeding, would not be considered medically necessary, then there are more problems than goofy paperwork and no sodium bicarb in the lidocaine. Like I said, I wont be back.

This is not my first time to this office. I have overlooked certain things because I really like the professionalism of Dr Weisbergs assistant (yes the assistant not the doctor or nurse practitioner) unfortunately today was the last straw. I had a 4:30 appointment for my two sons and unfortunately, we had to walk out without them being seen by the doctors physicians assistant at 5:10. I understand how important the physicians assistants time is but so is mine. As a working mother of 4 very active teen/tween kids, every minute is accounted for. I made it very clear that my oldest had to leave at 5:10 to make it to a bus pick up for a varsity basketball game. I even asked at check in if they were running on time. I was assured it wouldnt be a problem. As I walked out of the office I expressed my concern of time and money wasted. The response given that it was okay, my deductible had been met. So does that mean that they will charge my insurance for an office visit for today and another one when my sons hopefully see a doctor? No wonder insurance premiums are high! This offices location is convenient, the doctor is knowledgeable, the office staff is friendly and tell you what you want to hear but.....do not have high expectations on time. This was not the first time this has happened to me, but it was the first time I have ever walked out without being seen by a doctor. It is all very unfortunate.

My husband and I have come here for many years so it deeply saddens me that i will not be able to take my husband here anymore unless I pay a fee for 3 cancelled appts going back many years...i was never ever informed about Dr Weisbergs policy of flagging an account for having canceled 3 appts less than 48 hours...when I had to cancel I always thoroughly explained the situation to personnel there who were manning the phones and they said not to worry about it...i was never told verbally by any personnel that drr Weisberg flagged accounts after 3 cancelled appts...You see my husband is very ill and we have a lot of emergencies due to his ongoing medical problems. As I said I have never been told about this flagging policy...the receptionist I spoke to a few days ago was new and knew nothing about it until she saw my husbands acct was flagged...i am heartbroken as I cannot afford to pay a penalty fee to make a new appointment and will have to look for another doctor.who accepts Medicare . I am depressed ...We really liked going to Dr Weisbergs practice and felt confidence in their diagnosis and treatment....So my advise is if you have to cancel an appt prior to 48 hours more than 2 times over several years be prepared to have your account flagged...3 strikes and you are out....

I was very impressed by the information provided on Dr. Weisberg in the Frisco Style magazine in regards to his business setup and the customer reviews online. However, I failed to recognize that the online customer reviews were all for cosmetic procedures and the best business plan means nothing if you arent taking care of your customers needs. I went in to get some moles removed that were being irritated by my clothing. I was told that it would be a cosmetic procedure because the insurance companies would not believe him that it was for something other than cosmetic purposes. The moles are all covered by clothing and are slightly raised and had been getting caught/rubbed by my clothes - one to the point of bleeding. My regular doctor suggested getting it removed. I was told that asking the insurance companies to cover the removal would constitute fraud - all this while Im sitting there naked under a paper gown. He said he would submit it to the insurance company, but I needed to be prepared for them not to cover it and I would be stuck with a much larger bill than if I just did a cosmetic procedure outright. I could not wait to get out of there and I will never go back.
