My daughter was in a serious car accident and had treatment for a ruptured Spleen. After being discharged from the hospital she needed a doctor to followup with that was in her neighborhood. We visited Dr. Maxwell yesterday and we were completely amazed. Got an appointment on a Friday and was seen on Monday. There was no packed waiting room, the paperwork was minimal and we got right in to see the doctor. With previous doctors we were put into a room and waited 30-45 minutes before even getting to see the doctor. Dr. Maxwell was very knowledgeable and spent adequate time talking with us, doing an exam and following up with blood work and test. The test are done right there in the office and she will get results back in 24 hours. My daughter is very relieved to have found Dr. Maxwell and looking forward to being released to go back to work soon. All of the staff was very personable and I was so happy to find Dr. Maxwell that my husband & I are transferring our records over and will now be using him as our Primary Care Physician also. By the way; he is part of a 60 physician network and practices out of the new Plano Methodist Hospital which is a big plus for us.

I found this hospital good and doctors & staff are very nice. However, i faced one issue, i been for annual checkup which includes many more tests. I got reports of many tests but my vitamins report they never produced for which i took appointment and mentioned in doc as well which was sent by hospital. After confirming with nurse, she suggested you need to pay extra. I wonder why this is the case with this hospital only, i contacted my 15 friends and colleagues and everyone confirmed it was part of there annual checkup. I called insurance too and they confirmed it should have checked in annual checkup or hospital should have explicitly tell you that they wont conduct. I am looking for help but no luck.

I was referred here by a close friend and told it was a great experience. I decide to take a chance and schedule an appointment about a month out. When I spoke with the staff over the phone I was told to give insurance information, and was told that it is valid and all I need to do is to show up for my appointment. Then on the day of the appointment (I took off work too) I am told that they no longer take my current insurance and there is nothing else they can do. Shouldnt this have been worked out over the phone before hand? This unprofessionalism is why I will tell people to steer clear of this place. Ridiculous...

If you are looking for a new doctor, you need to stay away from this place!! I was trying to get an appointment as a new patient and they wouldnt schedule a future appointment. The receptionist was very rude!!! Im not sure what crime I made for her not to schedule a future appointment!!! So dont waste your time by going or calling for appointment! Like I did!

The receptionist is very rude and she was in no need to help me with my appointment. I will however report her. She shouldnt be turning patients away especially when they are sick and seeking help from the doctors.

I have been a patient of Dr. Maxwell for several years now and he has always been extremely professional and considerate to my needs. I couldnt imagine needing to find another doctor. Glad he is in my Plan.
