I went to @Houstonmedicalcenter about 3 times and those 3 times I was in horrible pain 3 days straight they could not tell me my ovarian cyst had twist 3 TIMES!!! The receptionists were so rude and mind you its suppose to be a decent hospital! I refused to come to ben taub because I was imagining worst and I was so wrong. The staff are all so very nice over all I had a great experience! I am so thankful that they were able to help me with my cyst when no one else could! The pain was horrible and the fact that they were able to help me with that is amazing! I am so thankful for Ben taub. Yes the wait time is long but there is a lot other ppl who were denied somewhere else who seek for help where they know they will get it Ben taub! Thank you so much.. Next time being your own pain killers thats what I did sorry not sorry I was in pain! But Ben taub is amazing thank you for helping me!!! I am very emotional because no one gave me answers in the past month with horrible pains i started to think the worst and i have a daughter imagine how that must of felt walking into ben taub and getting results in one day and surgery within hours!!! I am grateful! Not once was I ever disrespected or was someone being rude to me some ppl have to understand that its a lot for the staff as well A LOT of ppl walk in there!!! Thank you Ben taub! I never give reviews by the way but Ben taub Thanks!

Went to Ben Taub and had to wait over 12 hours, falling in floor from exhaustion after 6, with pneumonia. I have no problem paying the bill, but, seeing several people (most that I believe are immigrants (not commenting on legal status)) being admitted within 30 minutes of walking through the door. When I got the bill, I found out they were charging me over $140 for just sitting in the chair and another $20 for every time they took my temp (over 100 degrees) and blood pressure every hour. They hounded me for two months after recieving the bill. I told them I REFUSED to pay the bill on the grounds that I dissagreed with those charges and would pay the remainder of the bill IN FULL if they removed at least the charges for the benefit of using their waiting room (big joke) (The bill was over $2000) They told me they would not remove that part of the bill because it was standard billing for that hospital (I have used other government hospitals in the past from several parts of the country and have never heard of such thing.) They continued to hound me for over six months more and each time I told the bill collector the same thing. They threatened to attach to credit report and I told them to go ahead. No attachment was made (been over two years) They finally gave up, without my money, and my credit was intact. Still willing to pay, but, I guess they got it from some other means.

I give it 2 stars because of the wait time. I took my wife, we checked in at around midnight. By 9 a.m. next day we were out. We were schedule to come back on February 19, 2017 to do a blood test follow up and since outpatient clinic was close, to come to the E.R. We were going to go to a private clinic, but decided to finish the follow up there. We arrive at 1 p.m. and the photos on this comments are from February 19, 2017. It was almost empty. The amount of time they take to just see you is outrageous. They finally did her test after hours waiting. Hours later, they took us to a room, we waited in there roughly an hour. A student doctor just came over, from Baylor College, say everything was fine, theyll check you out. Thats it, he left. No name, did not introduce himself, etc... We left the hospital at 8 p.m. overall its a good hospital, parking sucks, and the smell is bad in the E.R. so many homeless check in to sleep warm, and theyre not even sick. They even go to McDonalds, sit there, watch T.V. and crash. If you have insurance go somewhere else, this is a community hospital and theyll gladly take your insurance, but wont deliver good service. Im sure they may do it once admitted, but in the process, is not worth it.

first let me say i live in the state of Pennsylvania ill myself checking on my terminally ill brother in this hospital. in all my years i have never ever had to deal with a group of rude unprofessional group of people. first i have been calling everyday for the past few months and have had problems everyday its something new there but this last time takes the cake.! i had just talked to my brothers doctor on Saturday and so i decided to call today Monday i get a rude lady telling me they dont have my brother in the system i said he been there since December she told me mam if he not in my system what do you think that means stunned and heart broken i didnt know what to say she said that means he is dead! so she switched me to another place where i had to wait on the phone for 45 minutes olnly to be switch to somewhere else to wait for another rude person to hang up and call another number that i had had to find out he had been moved to another hospital and the people told me if she really looked it would say he was transferred in the system. if i were you i would prey and put all your trust in god and get every name and number you can before you put or leave you loved one in this hospital. god bless you all.

Gracias a Dios m atendieron, el servicio d emergencia s pésimo una señorita no m atendía x star en su celular, dspues d casi 3 horas m pasaron a los x-ray cuando paso 2 horas y media sin saber nada pregunté q cuanto tiempo era d esperar para ver los resultados d los x-ray y m respondieron q le fuera a preguntar a la q m hizo los rayos x, 3 horas mas tarde m pasaron al cuarto aq m viera el doctor y ahí si los doctores q m vieron fueron super atentos y amables con migo m trataron bien, para ellos 5 ☆ , gracias a Dios no era nada grave pero les agradezco su servicio, bendiciones.........

Anoche fui por un intenso dolor en mi vesícula les dije lo q tenía pues estaba con una clínica en el día.la verdad q las personas no son ni tan prosefionales llegue a las 8pm y salí a las 2am solo para q me dieran malox........ estúpida gente y encima me van a mandar el Bill de unos exámenes que yo no pedí hacerme embarazo VIH presión arterial wtf si yo por lo q hiba era por el dolor de mi vesícula. Estoy tan molesta no me dejaron ni medicamentos para el dolor. Horrible atención.

YO NO PUEDO CREER QUE EN ESTE HOSPITAL SE ESPERE TANTAS HORAS PARA SER ATENDIDO UNA VEZ FUI CON MI PAPA EL ANDABA LA PROSTATA INFLAMADA Y LE DOLIA MUCHO Y ME ACUERDO ENTRAMOS EN LA MAÑANA A LAS 8 Y LO ATENDIERON EL DIA SIGUIENTE COMO A LAS 3 DE LA MAÑANA ES ORRIBLE PORQUE HAY GENTE PEOR QUE EL PACIENTE Y UNO TIENE QUE ESTAR ENTRE ESTA GENTE PORQUE EL HOSPITAL ES UNA TORTUGA ,HAAAAA PERO EL RECIBO ESE SI ES DE PRIMERA LE LLEGO ALTÍSIMO COMO SI LE UBIERAN HECHO UNA CIRUGÍA NO SE MIDEN.
