Ive had issues for years due to a spinal disease, and I also have seen many PCP doctors, my last one just before Mr. Buie. I wanted my PCP to manage my health issues so I didnt need to see a bunch of doctors and pay multiple copays. Anyway, I first called this office and specifically asked them if they prescribed the mediation I was taking. They said they did, so when I went to Dr. Buie he gave me the scripts Ive gotten for years, although he made a comment that he had never prescribed so much tramadol before (300 mg a day). But he did, and if his office was all into a bunch of new age stuff instead of medicine as we know it, then I wish they would have just said so. Anyway, I called in for my refill, and to my surprise, I was given 150 tramadol less in this "refill". I wasnt told why. I was given no referral to pain management at that time...nothing. So, I go to his office the next day and they acted like they didnt know anything. The doctor walked in and had the audacity to ask me what the problem was. Well, maybe for starters why he just "refilled" (maybe replaced is a better word) my ultram script with 150 less tramadol. The point is that no doctor should expect their patients to have ESP. How was I supposed to know that, according to him, it wasnt legal for him to write such scripts. Funny...all PCPs Ive had including residents at Harris Country have written the exact same scrips, and so did my last PCP I just saw a month or so before seeing Buie. It must not have truly been illegal for this doc to write the script because he did it the first time. Another red flag about this place was they never asked me for medical records. So, this conveyed to me a lack of concern about anything for anyone. Just getting cut off a med with no explanation can be a very big deal, so I can honestly say that his office not telling me what was going one was bizarre. The medical profession is reckless enough and incompetent enough as it is, and any so called medical professional shouldnt make big changes in how they are treating their patients without even telling them about it. In fact, his office kept saying, "He sent in the refill". I was like a refill of what? My last script wasnt even close to be refilled. This doctor is a nice guy for sure, and with the exception of the majority of his staff being emotionally detached from the atmosphere, he has some nice staff... but being a good doctor and a nice person are two different things. The multitude of positive reviews I find here are shocking, considering the deceitful way Dr. Buie and his office dealt with a simple thing like a refill. If a medication refill cant be properly processed at this so called Dr. office, I doubt major things would be properly processed. The whole, "I can write the script".... "I shouldnt write the script" reminds me too much of the emotional instability of people with Borderline Personality Disorder.

Terrific Dr. and consummate professional, well informed, friendly office staff, making an appointment is as easy as making a phone call, you may been seen that day or the next if needed. Highly recommend to anyone as a family or your personal doctor.
