Dr. Desai is most definitely passionate about her work, and it shows! She is always so happy, and smiling, and warm and welcoming! This goes a long way when having health care needs met. Along with her friendly nature, her expertise shines through: she really takes her time with you and explains everything to you, step by step. She always goes the extra mile, in completely any extra scans, to make sure she can determine all aspects of your eye care very thoroughly. She is also the first optometrist to ever explain to me the relation between the health of my eyes and the rest of my health: such as indicators of pending high blood pressure/diabetes, etc. This was such an eye-opener for me! She is so remarkable, that I even took my elderly parents to her - for an examination - while they were visiting me, from out of the country. She was so patient, kind and caring towards them. I was so grateful, and they were very impressed. She made them feel oh so comfortable! Her staff was also so patient and encouraging in helping my mother, as she had some eye sensitivities and thus her scans were not coming out accurately. Her eye started to get irritated and watery, but they were so calm and gentle in helping her feel at ease, and in helping her achieve a clear scan eventually! I highly, highly recommend Dr. Anamika Desai, at Vision Source (in Houston), if you are looking for genuine, quality care!!!

5 stars isnt enough. I have a 6 yr old. From making the appointment through the actual eye test and on to ordering glasses, the service was phenomenal. The staff was friendly, helpful and patient. Dr Desai was like a child whisperer with my 6 yr old. And excellent with me too. I had questions and concerns, and she actually answered all of them and then some. So it was more than just a quick eye exam. Dr Desai knows her stuff. Showed my kid and I all the eye images and models to explain. My kid already loves her. And if all patient support staff were as awesome as Misty, we could achieve world peace in our time. She too was nice and helpful when she could have just blown me off. And when I went back to get lenses put into glasses, both Misty and Dr Desai greeted me and my kid by name and couldnt have been nicer. The service and experience was obviously 5 stars comparing to other eye doctors, but even upscale spas and fancy hotels could take a lesson from the Vision Source on on how to treat their "customers". I genuinely can say I look forward going to this doctors office. Keep up the excellent work.

SHORT VERSION: Just wow, these sweet folks DESERVE my repeat business now. I rarely, if ever, say that about a business. Best service in town. TL:BPDR VERSION: This is a review for only for glasses and more importantly customer and after sales service. I did my eye exam elsewhere and will update this review whenever I do my next exam here probably. Misty, is hands down the sweetest optometrist I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with in over a decade in this concrete sprawl and SHE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU with an emphasis on the perfection of experience and her product. Eye glasses are pricey in general, this place is no exception either, and things can and do go wrong with them at times; or you may need some after sale help and adjustments after a little prolonged use, and Misty is just the perfect human being for that kind of care and service, given her bigger than life personality and with the extra miles she will gladly go for that GEM and truly golden 150% customer satisfaction [ knocking on the wood mademoiselle ;) ].

You will love Dr Desai! Seriously! I have been wearing contacts since I was in the fourth grade and am 34 now which means Ive been to a lot of eye Drs over the years and I have never met one that I really liked until now. She is so passionate about what she does. You can tell she thoroughly enjoys her work and that makes me feel good as a patient. I hate doctors who dont introduce them selves and Just go through the motions of their profession. Her office has all the new state-of- the- art technology and she is so knowledgeable about all things eyes, glasses and contacts. Trust me. I ask a lot of questions because I love learning and she was able to answer them all in such an intelligent manner. And her eyes just light up when shes answering your questions-shes that passionate. Im so glad I read these reviews and went to see for myself. I will definitely be going back and will recommend her to all my fellow poor eyesight friends. Also, Jessica at the front desk was great too. Very pleasant to talk to and welcoming.

I have previously worked with an optometrist and ophthalmologist and aware of the routine for eye care. Usually you spend more time with the assistant than doctor, but this isnt true for Dr. Desai. When I moved to Houston, I needed to get a new annual exam for contacts and didnt have time to travel to my home eye doctor. I found Dr. Desai and I couldnt be more happy! She goes above and beyond in eye care and takes the time to know you. Her technology is advance and office is welcoming to youth and all ages. I told her my eyes had been bothering me and she checked my glasses to find out that my prescription was way over than it was suppose to be. Her office offers a great atmosphere from the time you walk in til the time you leave. I had a very positive experience and have never met an optometrist who is not only dedicated in the study of her field but passionate.

Dr. Desai and her team offered the best eye doctor/glasses experience Ive ever had. The store is immaculately clean and organized, and they have the latest technology. Dr. Desai walked me through the results of the retinal photographs they took and I was amazed to learn that diabetes, brain tumors, and eye melanoma/cancer can be diagnosed from the pictures, which I have never had taken in over 15 years of wearing glasses. Overall everything was great and they offered a wide selection of high end as well as cheaper frames which helps them provide their excellent services to the whole spectrum of customers. The staff was incredibly polite. I also must add this is the first review I have ever written for anyone, which should be a testament to how great they were, and I wish them much continued success.

I had never been to an eye doctor before, cause all I have heard are bad things, on how they rush you, charge too much and dont care!! NOT at Vision Source Memorial!!! Not only was Dr. Desai very sweet she was so very caring!!!!! And the staff made me feel so very welcome. Dr. Desai wanted to know about my home life, work life and down time. I had no idea all of that mattered, but oh how it does for my ultimate prerscription. I am young, so I surely didnt think I needed glasses, well I do! And let me tell you I can see, I CAN SEE so much better!! I do alot of computer work and didnt realize that would make my eyes tired. She fit me in a pair of lenes with blue shield and oh my, let me tell you my eyes feel so much better!!! THANK YOU DR. DESAI.... Your AMAZING!!!!!
