My child was scheduled for an appointment on September 30th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. without my authorization or permission. I received a telephone call from Robin Stratmanns office as a courtesy reminder the day before the appointment that I did not schedule. I requested to reschedule the appointment because I had no knowledge of the appointment, and the staff member stated that they would have to charge me a fee of $50.00 per child to reschedule. Reluctantly, I picked up my child from school early to make the 1:00 p.m. appointment. Once we arrived, I signed them in and she was called back for her exam. The staff does not let parents go back with the children without explanation. I prefer to go with my children because for all I know they could be criminals or child molesters, but of course, I was refused entry. After the exam I was asked to come back for a brief consultation with the dentist, and she told me that my child had two cavities. The dentist did not show me any ex-rays or any proof of any dental issues, so I had to rely on her word. I was given an amount due of around $200.00 for cavity fillings (but she was going to charge my insurance an additional $500.00) and was forced to make an appointment for October 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Apparently, this office has a cancellation policy that requires a 48 hours notice to cancel an appointment. On October 2, 2014, I called the office to cancel the appointment because I had to work and I also wanted a second opinion and her staff was very rude. They told me that they could not cancel the appointment and I would be charged a $75.00 fee each child to reschedule. I feel that this office threatens patients with additional fees to reschedule appointments that they force you to take in the first place. This office tells you that your child needs extensive dental care and that you must make the appointment immediately. After my attempt to cancel the appointment, I sent the office a letter to officially cancel any and all appointments. On October 12, 2014, I took my child to another dentist office called Zara Dental and they conducted an exam and did not find any cavities. Last year Stratmann found three cavities on my daughters teeth, now I have reason to believe that she is dishonest. In my opinion, I believe that Ms. Stratmann is lying to her patients to earn more money for procedures the patient does not need.

I have used this dentist for several years and dont really understand the two other reviews on here. First off if you know anything about tooth decay in children...YES baby teeth CAN and WILL rot their adult teeth unless removed. Their adult teeth are already in their gums and if the rot gets bad enough down into the rot of the baby tooth then it will rot the adult tooth and cause all kinds of infections. Plus its painful. So why not remove the tooth anyways? Some kids dont lose their baby teeth until 10-12 years old. My 9 year old still has baby teeth and actually lost on of her capped teeth. We had it capped at age 3. Another point...why would I let her go 6 years with NO tooth or leave the tooth there to look bad? Id like her to look normal and not mouth full of rot or toothless like shes from so hillbilly town. Second review...how often do you go to the dentist? Because we move around allot and Ive had to switch doctors and dentists every 4 years and every one I have been to in this state and many others do NOT let the parents in the back during the exam. I go back to talk to dentist but during the actual exam itself I stay in the waiting room. Its a proven fact that MOST, not all children do better when mom and dad arent there. And its not just with the dentist but just in general. Kids tend to mind other ppl (teacher, grandparents, friends, etc) better than they do their own parents. This is why they made that rule. When Moms around kids tend to pressure their parents so we feel bad so they dont have to do something they really need to have done. If your child is this way then you are the FIRST Ive heard of. My review on Dr. Stratmann and her office is excellent. I have NEVER had ONE problem with them. I love their office staff. Willing to work with all situations and very very great at communication. I usually can get in pretty quickly and they are so great with the kids! They actually enjoy going! My kids leave happy and teeth clean every time!

Such a wonderful place., From pre-op to post-op. My 6 year old had 4 extractions yesterday and is well and back to school today. Their staff was amazing. I received follow up calls and was made to feel 100% comfortable when I arrived to the office and went back home. My daughter had several bad experiences over the past 4 months, visiting 3 different dental offices (all traumatizing). From the minute I called to schedule my daughters exam until current, I am MOST satisfied! I applaud the methodology of the practice in taking the children in the back without the parent, as they do tend to put a braver face on in the face of strangers. Children can feel when we as parents are anxious and in turn, it reflects on the patient at hand. My out of pocket expenses were fair and the most reasonable that i have come across. I do not think that most people understand the HIGH cost of dental care in the US. I can only say, that if you cannot afford the low prices of this clinic....your next stop should be your local medicaid office. I paid roughly $350 dollars for 4 extractions, 2 band & loop maintainers, resin composite on 4 surfaces, mold and fitting for space maintainers and conscious sedation.....oh yes, and my initial consult was no cost out of pocket with insurance. I have been a clinical trial pharmaceutical medical monitor for 17 years and have visited, assessed, audited and interviewed over 500 international clinics, hospitals and research facilities and can assure you that I am 100% confident, satisfied and impressed with Dr. Stratmanns clinic. If you know what to look for in a good practice....this place has it! LJR

I remember going here when I was a kid. I remember her being forceful in what she was doing. She would hold your tongue down, push and pull your head if she wanted to see something. I know she does childrens teeth but come on, you can ask them to keep still and to move their head! I remember her having fake nails as well and poking my cheek ALL the time. It wasnt a comfortable thing as I remember it. My mom took me there because we were referred by her dentist. I remember it being slightly stressful. It has made me dread going to the dentist now. Luckily I have an awesome dentist to go to now. I seen somewhere that she is still doing orthodontics, when I went to her she shared her office with an orthodontist that had another office. He is no longer there. I went to him and he was GREAT! She may nice when she talks to you but she makes it stressful for kids in the chair.
