I saw Dr. Chen about a year ago and am saddened that I have moved out of state and have to find a new Optometrist. After seeing five other eye doctors with issues I was having with my eyes and being misdiagnosed with dry eye or a need for reading glasses by all of them, Dr. Chen actually listened and picked out something I stated as a symptom as not being normal, a symptom all the other doctors glazed over without a second thought. They had tried to look at my symptoms and make them fit into the mold of the common eye problems they saw in their practices. He however did not. He looked at me and my symptoms as an individual, and realized that my symptoms were not typical. He sent me to a Neuro-opthamologist at Houston Methodist and I was finally able to figure out what was causing my eyes so much grief! If it werent for Dr. Chen I would possibly still be trying to figure out what was wrong with my eyes. My visit to Dr. Chen was the beginning to many answers, answers to health issues I had been having even outside of the eye that no one had been able to figure out. Thank you Dr. Chen!

Horrible customer service. Spent hours calling and trying to get my prescription faxed over to me because apparently it cant be read over the phone or emailed which is ridiculous. Every time I called they had an excuse to why it wasnt faxed yet and were very rude about it. I definitely didnt feel like a valued customer, Ariel and Elly were not helpful at all and I was not pleased with their tone towards me. Same awkwardness when I go for exams so with that being said I wont be returning to TSO.

Hands down the best eye doctor office I have ever been too. Dr. Alexander Chen is thorough and goes out of his way to make sure he provides the best quality eye care for his clients. I have been impressed by his efforts to help my oldest with an eye injury, and shes doing great! One of the few specialists I have met who thinks about their patients even when they are not in the office. The staff and specialist and also very personable. Cant say enough good things about this place.

Went with my wife to get me some glasses. Ariel was very helpful and patience. By the end of the night we ended up taking two pair of sunglasses also! Definitely going back!

Dr. Chen does a great job explaining the process and is very personable. Their equipment and office are up to date and their office staff is very nice as well.
