our son was born march 2015, at first I felt that dr pizzaro was a very good dr. he had loose stools and a small eczema flare up around 4 months old, I was told that he had a lactose allergy and was switched to the most expensive formula on the market, she gave me instructions on how to switch formulas (i am a first time mom) after doing research i found out that her instruction to give him 2 feedings of pedilyte then start the new formula is not the correct way. she also told me to continue giving him formuls until we run out (we have like 9 cans) then start to switch him to whole milk..... but i thought he had a lactose allergy?? every dr and nurse in the hospital was shocked that he was not on milk already. luckily he has been relatively healthy. starting last month he had a issue with a abscessed lymph node, we made 3 trips to driscolls, admitted twice. she had seen my child once for this issue. after the first hospital stay when the lump started to get red and enlarged I called her office explained what was going on that he had been in the hospital and that this was not just a common cold issue, I need to know if she wanted to use a different antibiotic, come in for an apt, or go to the hospital. at that time I was told that the dr would call me as soon as she got in (it was 9:15) I waited till 12 before taking him to driscolls for the 3rd time. I still have not heard from her office, she doesnt even know that he was back in the hospital. I am so upset about this because i know that there are some parents out there that would have waited until they heard from the office, in our case if we had waited my 1 year old baby would have needed surgery. I HAVE LOST ALL FAITH in her. i have witnesses her being extremely inappropriate towards one nurse (regarding my child and a weight and height that was measured wrong)I really love the nurse though. everyone that I have talked to has had a horror story to tell about this dr. please ask around before choosing this dr as your peditrician

Sat for over an hour after my scheduled appointment time. Brought my daughter in to get a release so she could do physical activity after a minor ankle sprain from over 4 weeks ago. Her original note from Dr. Pizarro only said she needed to be out for 2 weeks, but I brought her back in just to be safe. Dr. Pizarro came in to the room and said she was late to a conference and asked when could I come back for physical. I told her I didnt need a physical for my daughter, simply the release. The appointment I made was not for a physical. She stated that it "popped" up in the system that my insurance said it was time for my daughters 14 year old physical. I told her I could come back for that another time and she said that she would not give me the release until I came back for the physical. She said we needed to "work together". How is that ethical. Holding my daughters ankle hostage so she can milk more money from the insurance company for a physical! This is crazy and fraud!

Although the wait can be hard, well worth the care you get for your child from Dr. Pizzaro. She is upfront and to the point, and speaks with honesty. Doesnt seem to be money driven as she has told me when it was and was not necessary for a visit. My insurance doesnt cover her office, but after making a couples visits to the other Dr on my plan, Ill pay for my son to have a good Dr. Thank you Dr Pizzaro for what you do.

Great pediatric care compaired to larger more well known facilities. I recommend this to anyone with kiddos.
