I was really surprised at the service I received. I too, like Lin was a little skeptical because of the reviews. I had a rash that had come up over night and my GP was out of town. I called several dermatology offices and was turned down. After calling Advanced Dermatology they told me that I could come in and see the PA Piipar. All I wanted was someone to help me. I had an appointment for 130pm the same day that I called. I did my paperwork ahead of time from their website as I was asked. I arrived about 115 for my appointment. The waiting room was full, but I found out there was more than one practitioner in the office. I was wondering how I was going to be seen at 130 with all the other people there. The waiting room is big, set up nicely and there is a tv to help pass some of the time. Of course to my surprise I didnt have to wait long. It was at 130 when the nurse called me back. She asked me quite a few questions regarding my rash, I was impressed with the amount of things she asked as if she knew what I had. Once she left the room, I picked up a brochure on the cool sculpting that they offer in the office.. I didnt even get to read it when Piipar came into the room. She came with the nurse that roomed me and asked a few questions about my rash. Her nurse Ginger had a brochure on the type of rash that I had. (The nurse knew what it was before Piipar even came into the room) I was impressed. She explained to me what I had. Offered to do a biopsy if I wanted but looking at the brochure I had the textbook of what this was. She was very nice and explained it to me. Wrote me a prescription to help ease the itching and asked me to follow up if it didnt go away within a certain time frame. As she was leaving I did get to ask about the cool sculpting. She briefly explained it to me, told me I could talk with an esthetician more in detail and pricing. The consult was free so I thought what the heck! I spoke with Emily in great length about the procedure and the pricing. I am excited to say I am having my first treatment next week! I hate that some people have bad experiences at places and misfortunes do happen. I just wish that more people with GOOD experiences would comment. My mother always told me, if one person has a bad experience they tell EVERYONE and the good experiences are not always shared. I try to share the good and the bad. Just so that the bad is not the only thing out there. I hope that the next person has as good as experience as I did. I think I have found my new best friend in Advanced Dermatology!

I practically live at Advanced Dermatology Katy Location. I have been going there since 2005. The staff is incredible professional, friendly and welcoming. I do go there for your regular skin problems but I go there mostly for cosmetic procedures. I ONLY see Dr. Kelly Duncun she is FABULOUS!!! She is an artist! I am very picky on the type of results Im looking for and she NEVER fails me. I LOVE HER! She is professional, and at the sametime she makes me feel like Im one of her girlfriends. I would never see any other doctor there. She takes her time and takes to me about what she thinks and what I want and the practicality of my results. She is very honest about what I should expect and I can always count on her and her office to carry the best products and the best equipment. I trust her completely. I also see Marybeth Strayer for my chemical peels and sometime IPL treatments. She has become not only my favorite esthetican but my favorite reason for going there. I cant wait to see her every six weeks. She is like a sister to me. I LOVE HER TOO!! She is very professional, always takes me on time and more important than that is the quality of her work is incredible. She takes her time and gives me 100% of her focus when Im in her chair. She takes wonderful care of me. Again I wouldnt see any other esthetican. I havent had any bad service, treatments or results in all the years I have been going there. I also would like to compliment the staff. Ellie (sorry if I mispelled your name) is a blast to talk to, she always takes the time to ask me how I am and how my day was. She goes above and beyond trying to schedule my appointments for me. She knows how much of a pain I am..lol Overall this is a wonderful place and if they would offer plastic surgery there I would do it! I trust them with my life. I highly recommend Advanced Dermatology to anyone and I have!

I wanted to take the time to pass on my experiences with this place. First off, I have been on time for 5 appointments, and waited approx 45 minutes each time! PA Piipar smiles and said, "Thats medicine." No thats not caring about your patients as much as you care about making money! Essentially, other peoples time is of no consequence. And they all but tell you that straight up. As for dermatology, I came in for one wart of my foot, and expected it to be a simple, straightforward procedure. They expose the wart by shaving the surface skin to do their treatment, without telling me that it will very easily spread. Now I have multiple warts on BOTH feet! I have had to learn the hard way that warts need to be covered at all times to prevent the spread and to bleach my bathtub. This should have been explained on the first visit, as ones basic care for all plantars warts during treatment. Frustrated by multiple visits due to the the spread of warts to both feet, PA Piipar said, "Thats warts.". No, thats improper care and lack of educating the patient. I was so frustrated I said to her, "I came in March for a single wart; now its September and I have about 8 on both feet!" Her response was a lackluster, "Oh well. Warts are tough. See you in three weeks." By the way, the treatments left me unable to walk properly for DAYS, let alone exercise! The area around the treated wart was VERY tender, and the healthy tissue swollen and pale. It really made for a miserable time. Its just very obvious to me that they care more about profits and cash flow than patient satisfaction. And the lack of taking the time to explain basics like preventing the spread of warts, to treatment that left me barely able to walk is unacceptable. No I wont be going back. Hope this saves someone else some time, money and misery.

Ive been going to Advanced Dermatology for about two + years and have always been greeted with warmth and kindness. Mary Beth Strayer is absolutely AWESOME!!! She takes time to listen to your concerns and is very gentle, kind and VERY understanding. I have Rosacea and Mary Beth provided me with V-Beam treatments and has performed other treatments. I can tell you one thing no matter where I go, I am complimented on my skin and I wear NO makeup except eye makeup the rest is totally unnecessary! Let me tell you I would never have gone out without putting concealer and whatever I could to cover the redness on my face. I have recommended Mary Beth Strayer to my friends and I would recommend her to anyone who wants a professional and caring Licensed Medical Esthetician . Advanced Dermatology Katy is a wonderful office, with a wonderful and caring staff. Another thing, that Ive found refreshing about Mary Beth Strayer is that I am never made to feel or pressured to purchase products or treatments. So many other places place so much pressure on purchasing items and procedures that they make you feel uncomfortable.
