I like the actual doctor she is very good and very nice. However I was given two prescriptions for my skin on a pharmacy card for delivery instead of being able to fill it at my Pharmacy. I told them that I did not like that and I was told by the assistant that its cheaper that way. I had to go out of town so didnt fill my prescription yet and the third party delivery company called me a few times telling me to fill my prescription!!!! I do not like that at all. They have no business calling me to use their service for my prescription I dont like them having my information, I dont like them having my number and I most certainly am not giving them my address or letting them touch my medicine!! I called the office to get them to call it in to my Pharmacy and I again was told it be cheaper using their 3rd party delivery service as if to push it over on me. I told her I was not going to do that and call it in to my Pharmacy. The girl I talk to got angry with me and got an attitude with me! I was on hold for over 5 minutes to get this done. It is not up to them to decide for me where I get my prescription or how much I spend. That is my decision. I need to fill my prescription for my skin and Im not dealing with a third-party delivery company whos already hounding me to use them. I have no clue who they are and what they could do to my medicine. In really? No. That is unprofessional, it is appalling and downright annoying. It should be left up to the patient to decide if they want to use that or not. I asked for a normal prescription but was told the other is better and cheaper. I dont think the doctors office needs to be telling people or even giving to people a third-party delivery company for their prescriptions. I feel that is violation of privacy and the option should be given to the patient of do you want a prescription to your Pharmacy or would you like to use this third-party service? I dont like how this was handled one bit and probably will find a new doctor now. I also dont like this third-party delivery company having my personal information and calling me to me thats a red flag.

Plenty of dermatologists in Houston. Put Dr. Schwartzs office at the bottom of your list. On my first visit in August 2009, I arrived on my scheduled appointment time, checked in at the front desk and sat down to wait. They have a sign posted on the walls pardoning their waiting times, so I was anticipating a small wait. But I waited 1 HOUR AND 15 MINUTES before I could see Dr. Schwartz. She removed something that was bothering me, and I received 3 stitches to be removed in about 2 weeks. I asked if I needed to schedule another appointment, and both the doctor and the nurse said that I just need to show up and a nurse will remove them for me -no waiting. Two weeks later, I arrive at 2pm to get my stitches removed. I checked in at the front desk and sat down to wait. I waited 45 MINUTES for a nurse to see me. What is maddening is that while I was waiting, the nurses were just hanging around chatting up on their gossip. When I was finally called in, the stitch removal took literally 30 seconds. Heres my summary. A doctor should be critique on not only their knowledge and professionalism, but on the whole operation that they run and maintain. The office that Dr. Schwartz runs is unbelievably inefficient, and for patients to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for a 5 minute consult is a poor reflection of how the Doctor runs her establishment. I strongly urge that you visit another dermatologist. I will never give Dr. Schwartz my business in the future.

Worst experience ever! I called and made an appointment, they told me they accept my insurance and thought everything was fine. When I got there, they told me a different lie, they said they wont accept my primary nor my secondary insurance. I let them know I was in pain and bleeding badly all her staff did was laughed and said if I wanted to see her I would have to pay full price. On top of that, the ladies upfront said if I did pay full price (which I could not afford) that they would set up my prescriptions; to where I could not use my insurance on them as well. So I would have to pay hundreds or thousands out of pocket, just so they get their kicks. Who does that, they dont have the authority to do that! Total Bs, they played Russian roulette with my health with no compassion this was an emergency, I restated it was, still her nurse and medical assistant basic said they didnt care. They are liars and ugly people on top of being rude. Dont go to this lady as her staff will treat you like dirt. I had to come way across town for this mess. The smugness of these female dogs is down right disturbing! On top of this later that night I called my insurance for a list of doctors that takes my insurance and she was the 3rd name they gave me. Unbelievable Someone please report these clowns to the medical board. Stay away from terrible doctors who dont care like Dr. Jan Schwartz

Horrible experience I will definitely not be back to her office. I have never written a review on anything before ,but this was the most unprofessional experience I have ever received. Why schedule times for your patients if you are just going to meet with them whenever you feel like it. I waited almost 1 hour past my arrival and scheduled time only to wait some more in the room for the doctor. No one came to even tell me how much longer it would be and when I finally decided to leave the doctor asked if I was on my way to the restroom. The ladies at the entrance counter are no better, they were talking about lunch when they had a room full of people waiting past their scheduled time and also complaining about how they were going to have to start requiring cash or check payments as their credit card machine was out of paper. As I sat there waiting to be seen I started to look over some of this doctors and her office reviews and they some were no good and complaining about the same thing I am now. Im not sure how she stays in business.

Dr. Schwartz has been my family dermatologist for 4 generations now- she is absolutely fantastic. She knows exactly what shes doing and has the best bedside manner. She has her way of doing things, but I promise you that its the best solution for you. The review about the third party pharmacy contacting you- thats the actual medical company contacting you to send you your medicine- for free. Shes found a way to help us save money in the best way possible, and they have never used my info for the wrong reasons. It was actually perfect with my busy schedule, all I did was tell them where to send my medicine, and the medicine was so great. If youre looking for a doctor that you can trust to take care of you, this is your doctor. She even puts her home phone number on the recording in case you have an emergency. Who does that?? People who truly care- thats who.
