Where to even begin? My dog Mollie means the world to me, truly. So when I found a lump on her belly I was very concerned. She is also a Teacup Yorkie, only weighing 4 pounds. In those types of dogs bad teeth is a common occurrence. I knew her teeth were really bad but I never had the funds to do much about it. She is also 10 years old. Selfishly, I never wanted her to be put under and risk losing her... so she never was spayed either. But when I found the lump on her belly, I knew it was time to spring into action. This is where the amazing staff at White Angel Animal Hospital come in. Dr. Z immediately came up with a game plan... full dental cleaning and multiple extractions, spay, and mass removal to be sent off to check for Cancer. I was TERRIFIED. But Dr.Z was so great with calming me and fully explaining the entire process... also sharing her scary stories about the animals she loves. The amazingness of White Angel doesnt just stop at Dr. Z... her staff is incredible as well. Her assistant, Lenore, was so comforting and caring. She even gave me a hug when I broke down crying after dropping Mollie off for her extensive surgery. I couldnt imagine doing any of this as well, without Lenore. I consider her a true friend now. Christy, who is at the front desk was also very understanding and good with explaining everything. Its almost been a week now since Mollies major surgery. She is doing better and better everyday. She had 16 total teeth extracted, spay, and the mass completely removed from her tiny belly. That is a lot for my tiny 10 year old dog, but Dr. Z is very talented. I almost cant believe how well Mollie is doing, and believe that with her surgery Ive given her a few more years on this Earth with me. Which is Everything. I also got the call a day ago... Mollies mass is BENIGN!!! Cancer free =)... Dr. Z called right when she found out and Ive been walking on sunshine ever since. I go back next week to get Mollies stitches out, and plan on hugging every single one of them again, and Thank Them Profusely. They are a Care Credit Provider which made me be able to finance the entire surgery. I was so grateful to be able to do something quickly, and not feel helpless. So in Conclusion, if your pet means the world to you, like mine does to me... White Angel Animal Hospital is the place for you and the one you love. They are at talented and incredible staff and I couldnt be happier with the care and service I received. From the bottom of my heart... Thank You White Angel Animal Hospital <3

Dr. Zihlka is a young and apparently knowledgeable vet who is a bit too concerned with doing a bit too much and therefore running up the tab. Her operation charges much more than others for most services, and if you dont watch out, youll be spending hundreds, perhaps thousands, if something happens to your pet. We had fairly good experiences there, but I was weary of the very high bills and also the patronizing vet tech who does most of the exams and treatment. She will just about drive you crazy telling you what you are doing wrong NOW with your dog. Because of the high expenses and the vet techs constant chidings, we had decided to go elsewhere. But we wanted to spay/neuter our two six-month-old puppies before we made the change. The pre-op estimate was about $750 for the pair (just to be spay/neutered). Unfortunately, our male puppy had a reaction to the anesthetic. Before I knew what had hit me, I had to pay White Angel $778 just for the one ailing puppy ($300 for oxygen; $300 for a radiologists consult), and another $70 or so for the female who had been kept on an IV all day but did not receive surgery. The male puppy later died. I dont necessarily blame the vet, however, her tech did the work, so who knows what happened? Perhaps they were too aggressive in pain management? Or perhaps the puppy simply had a pulmonary capillary leak syndrome (his lungs were full of fluid and blood) in a reaction to the anesthetic. Dr. Zilkha dreamed up "fungal pneumonia" for the diagnosis, eventhough the puppy was healthy and happy that morning when I took him in, sending me off to an oncologist specialist (not a pulmonologist) who was a bit dismayed he had been put in this position. Bottom line, there are a lot of good vets up and down 620 highway. If you dont want to spend a fortune -- and have to put up with one of the most annoying, "youre doing it all wrong" vet techs youve ever met -- head elsewhere. Dr. Zilkhas operation is a money grabber.

*Update* What type of company will bash their BEST employee? Lenore has become part of our family because how much she CARES! For her to make a decision to leave the company and be dragged through the mud like they did is disgusting. Where ever she goes we will follow. She was there when Dr Z wasnt. And anybody that knows her will say that! She is the definition of a true loyal employee who has been such a support to the Lakeway community. We will NEVER be back. I am in awe at how much this place rocks! They treat me and my pet like family, it is such a comfortable atmosphere! We have gone in twice now so that our dog could just get to know the staff since he gets fear aggression. Lenore is so through in explaining everything, she sat on the floor and spent so much time making him feel comfortable, he now kisses her on the face when he goes in! The Dr even came up and sat down with us just to say hi in between her appointments. I just feel they go above and beyond, just a gentle touch that we are so excited to FINALLY have found a great vet in Lakeway! Its nice to not be rushed out and actually be appreciated!

I received an email from them bashing a former employee. I am truly and utterly appalled at these cruel and untrue accusations of Lenore, the one and only person I feel who kept White Angel running smoothly and with total care. I personally experienced my dog almost losing her life during a routine surgery, the ONLY reason I still have my beautiful girl is because of Lenore SAVING HER LIFE!! I have recommended White Angel to all of my friends with furry family and every single one has had nothing but amazing things to say about her. Besides the fact when she is not taking care of our babies at work, she takes in, fosters, saves and pays out of her pocket to do all she can to save any animals.. All of us are disgusted by this illegal and unprofessional defamation of Lenores character, NEVER will return to White Angel and will follow her wherever she goes, who will be blessed to have her

Moving to a new city is tough and finding good doctors is even tougher, especially a great veterinarian. I asked my FB peeps for fantastic vets in my area, and they didnt let me down. White Angel Animal Hospital is the best. The manager Tal did a fantastic job when showing us around the first time and making us feel very comfortable with the White Angel as a whole. They are all warm, kind, friendly, and loving + knowledgeable about what to do/not to do. I love Dr. Zs conservative approach. She will not do a procedure if its not necessary. For example, my 5-year-old cat has never had her teeth cleaned so I figured she was long overdue. However, after examining her, Dr. Z didnt think it was necessary right now because her teeth are in excellent shape.
