I hardly know how to begin to extoll the virtues of Mansfield Smiles and Orthodontics. First, to begin, I have neglected my dental health for a while, and going in I knew my teeth were bad. I was suffering from a broken, infected back molar, of which the pain was exceedingly excruciating, and I was terrified of dentists, so I had put off going for a couple of weeks. Finally my wife made me an appointment, and I reluctantly went, as the pain was unbearable at this point. As I sat in the (very modern, comfortable and cozy) waiting room, I could feel my heart racing 100 miles an hour. Within 3 minutes of waiting, I was called back. As the assistant prepared me for X-Rays, I began to shake. She began to talk to me, asked some questions about how I was feeling, and within seconds, my anxiety began to subside. I felt comfortable, she was very friendly and understanding. More importantly, she did not judge my abhorrent dental hygiene habits. They X-Rays were of course painless, and her attitude made the process very pleasant. In the exam room, Dr. Kazmi took a quick look and explained to me that the infection was partially below the gum line, so a root canal to save the tooth would not be an option. Which at this point, with the mind-numbing pain, I was ready to just have the thing pulled out of my head, so I was just fine with that. Dr. Kazmi was absolutely fantastic. He provided a very clear explantion of the procedure to be performed, which would be an extraction (pulling) of the infected tooth, and assured me that the pain would be practically non-existent. This next part is important. I know some people say that they felt "no pain" during their procedure, but I always assume they have at least a moderate threshold for pain. I have no tolerance for any kind of pain, particularly in my mouth. So when I say I felt NO PAIN, I literally mean it in every sense of the words, NO PAIN. I didnt even feel the needles for the local. I felt absolutely nothing throughout the entire procedure. Nothing. Nada. I cant figure out a way to express the complete absence of anything felt. During the procedure, Dr. Kazmi kept checking to be sure I was ok, it was very comforting and reassuring. About 10 or15 minutes later the tooth was out, and I was on my way out the door. The aftercare instructions were very clear, and even though he prescribed something for the pain, I havent even cracked open the bottle. He is just that good, I suppose. It was quite literally the easiest and most painless procedure I have ever had, and the environment of understanding and compassion made all the difference. If you or someone you know needs a dentist,, I recommend Mansfied Smiles and Orthodontics. If you are thinking of going anywhere else, just go down to Home Depot, grab a set of pliers, and do the oral surgery yourself, because that is the type of service you will get anywhere other than Mansfield Smiles and Orthodontics. Because of the staff and doctors, I look forward to my next appointment, and getting my mouth back in shape, now that I know that I will be treated with compassion and care, and with NO PAIN at all. I really cant emphasize the NO PAIN enough. Thank you Dr. Kazmi and staff, youve really made a difference!

This company claimed my child had a cavity that needed filled right away, after experiencing horrible customer service and a lack of cleaning on my childrens teeth I referred to another dentist for a follow up and second opinion. It was determined that my child did not in fact have any cavities, nothing that even resembled a cavity. The new dentist office stated that I had been lied to, there is no way to mistake decay in the tooth. The new office provided a throughout exam, redid x-rays and checked my childs mouth over several times, zero signs of decay or needing a filling. Mansfield Smiles claims there was decay and my child needed a filling immediately and tried to schedule one right away, this is concerning beyond measure. This company appears to be fabricating health issues for financial gain, I cannot begin to express the depravity and immorality of that. If I had not been willing to challenge this my child would have been put at risk unnecessarily and under false pretense, trust your gut and always get a second opinion.

WARNING! Do not go to this dentist office. I am like you, I read a lot of reviews and understand there is always one person who wants to give bad reviews. I am not that person. First off, I had a confirmed appointment Wednesday at 3PM, when I say confirmed I mean I received a call and an email. I show up... wait 10 minutes only to be told my appointment is Monday at 2PM. I politely corrected the receptionist. She said there are no doctors here (!?). I rescheduled for Friday trying to be understanding. So I show up a second time... waited 15 to 20 min to have my X-ray done. Side note, the woman who did the X-ray was very nice and professional. The doctor however hurt me just doing the exam. She was very rude when I said it hurt and asked her to stop. I then was left alone to wait another 10 min. I will never go back to this office.

Dont fall for the onlay scam. We were told the onlays were better than traditional fillings. We were also told one benefit was everything could be done in one visit. Well it was three hours later. I would rather have come back. When we left we were told by the girl handling insurance our out of pocket was $1800. She could not have been more wrong. the actual Out of Pocket was around $4500. After checking the explanation of benefits I found none of the three Onlays were a covered procedure and one procedure was not covered as my insurance company could not find evidence of a problem that even required the procedure. my advice is to just drive on by this place and find another.

I went in today for a cleaning X-ray and exam for their $59.00 special. After and the X-ray and exam they inform me that I will have to reschedule for the cleaning because they only have 2 hygienists on staff and they did not have time. Then they said they book out 6 months for the cleaning. I said I was not going to wait 6 months. They do have me scheduled for next week. They got me in there with their special but I will not continue my business with them nor will I take my son who needs dental and ortho work. Very disappointed. This could have been avoided if they would of told me upfront that the cleaning would be on a separate date.

I generally do not like going to the dentist, and, for that reason, have not been in quite some time... Last time I tried to make an appointment with my previous dentist I was told in would be months before I could get in. Due to changes in my insurance plan I had to switch dentists, and chose Mansfield Smiles. This was the best experience I have ever had with a dentist. The service was friendly, fast, and well done. The level of technology that this office has invested in really adds to the good experience. I am so happy with the decision to come here and feel that my family will be long time patients. Thank you Mansfield Smiles!
