I normally do not write reviews when something goes awry with any businesses, but the way Dr. Christine Smith treated us was just plain terrible and awful. This incident happened in October of 2014, so I had a lot of time to think about this, before writing anything. The incident is about firstly how she drew her conclusions about my then 3-year old sons behavior, for which she does not hold a degree, and secondly, for the bill she slapped us with, refusing to address the code issue to submit it to our insurance company. We were there for a REFERRAL and she assumed we were there to evaluate our son, which was completely incorrect, but refused to do right by us. I guess when you are a business and can get more money from your "patients" instead of the insurance companies, then these are the kind of practices you will engage in. We paid our bill in full (not the discounted rate the insurance company would have been able to negotiate), because we had no negotiating power, wrote a letter, which she or anyone in that place never responded to or tried to address. We also initially called 3 times to resolve the issue and the ladies at the front desk have always been amicable and tried to help, but ultimately, its in the hands of the doctor to make that call and rectify the situation, which she refused to do, because of her arrogance, know-it-all attitude, and lack of concern for our family.

I have five children and they had been patients of Dr. Alvis for almost 10 years. We moved around and at one point, even lived an hour away, but because of our established history with them, we remained his patients. Of my five kids, two missed an appointment. Not even a week later I got a bill in the mail for $150 because of a no-show fee of $75 and while I was like ok, thats understandable, the other letter said he was terminating us as patients! Are you kidding me? 10 years of being your patients and you terminate us as a family? I couldnt believe it and then when I called to explain who were are and how long weve been with them, the billing lady was nonchalant and unapologetic. I cant believe it. And on top of that in order to get a copy of my kids medical history I now have to pay $25 per child. Unreal! So if you want to be just another "patient" then by all means this is the place, because they definitely arent in business to maintain or keep lasting relationships.

Dr. Dollins saw my son the day after he was born in the hospital, she was fantastic and had a great bedside manner. Dr. Reyes is my sons usual doctor and we love him. One day when he was sick we saw Dr. Smith and she was also great. Having seen 3/4 of the doctors in this office and being happy with all of them, I would definitely recommend their office. I would also like to note that my son was born with a tongue tie, making it very difficult (and painful for me) for him to feed. The office was not open the day we were discharged, but Dr. Reyes was so wonderful as to have us come by the so he could fix it before we went home. This was a life saver for me! If he had not done that, I probably would have given up on breastfeeding all together.

Dr. Reyes has been with us since the day my son was born. I trust him and the care decisions he makes for my 2 kiddos. He cares about the kids, and is always so personable. He is always takes the time to answer any of the dozen questions I have. We love the other 3 doctors as well, and have seen them all in times when he isnt able to see my kiddos on short notice. Stonebridge Pediatrics is always quick to get us in, and I love that they are open part of the day on Saturday. We have taken advantage of that many times. If you are looking for a pediatrician you can trust wholeheartedly to treat the medical needs of your children, pick any 4 of these awesome doctors and bring them here. One of the best decisions you can make!

Doctors overall did not care about my twin infants. I told them of the issues I was having and they blew me off and would always just say that they will grow out of it. I went to another pediatrician for a second opinion and I am so glad I did!! She already has them booked to see a radiologist to see why my boys are so sick. They also are looking to actually fight with the insurance companies to cover my babies medicines and procedures that were costing us a fortune. If you have 100% healthy kids then see this doctor and wait in their long lines. But if your kids have any issues that actually need to be addressed the doctors here will ignore you cause they are looking for easy $ from Basic checkups.

Highly recommended! I have two children ages 3 1/2 and 1 1/2 who have both been patients of Dr Alvis since the begining of their lives and have nothing but great things to say about the care he and his staff provide them. It is comforting to know that for as often as they are sick, he has always been able to see them the same day, In addition, Dr Alvis offers a lot of insight into what may be the underlying cause of a childs problem and in our case, that was referring us to the proper specialist (ENT) to remedy the problem. Most of all, the kids like Dr Alvis and his staff and feel comfortable there. Eric Zimmermann, McKinney TX.

We see Dr. Alvis, and he is a great fit. He is very pro-baby health, and pro-MOM health. Reasonable, easy and even fun to converse with, but very clear and to the point about baby needs. The office staff is also kind, and when our insurance changed and was no longer accepted we were able to use their cash rate- and were met with lots of helpful suggestions about how to make it work (though they wouldnt have been offended if we went somewhere else that accepted our insurance).

I left my old doctor since we moved. My kids(twins) fall ill 4 times over 6 months. I was not able to secure an appointment for my sick kids. They told me to go to urgent Care. I would recommended that if you care about your child there are far better places. Short of long I am moving back to my old doctor. They are not willing to accommodate a sick child , while they randomly decided to open half day. Please do not go here for your childs care.

Dr. Alvis and Dr. Smith are wonderful but the kids and I love Dr. Reyes the best. He is great with the kids. Talks to them about their interests as well as their health Straight shooter and tells it like it is which I appreciate. He is very knowledgeable and listens to mom intuition. The kids have been going here for over six years and we wouldnt go anywhere else. From the office staff to the nurses to the Drs - Great office all around!

Dr. Alvis is the pediatrician for both of my kids. My oldest is 7 and we have gone to Dr. Alvis since he was 3 months old. We love Dr. Alvis and are very lucky to have found him. His nurses and staff are also amazing and always call back when I leave messages and are very understanding with my needs. Anytime I call and need paperwork, etc. they are so quick to get it done that it is quite impressive. I would highly recommend Dr. Alvis.
