Two of my cats had a nasty fight (I think). One was left with a huge gash behind his ear, right where it's attached to his head. Didn't notice it because it never bled, but we noticed that he was scratching his ear a lot. Plus, he's one big fat hairball. Over the course of a few days, he became lethargic and his pupils were always dilated. He never liked being held, but this time he let me pick him up. That's when I saw the matted mess. I was recommended to Countryside by a good friend. The staff was amazing. I knew when I walked in that I was in the right place. The doctor immediately took care of it. He got his ear stapled up, given a strong topical antibiotic, got his shots, and neutered for a very nominal fee and an overnight stay. They kept me posted on his well being and even called me after I took him home to check on him more than once. I cannot express my appreciation for the love and care they demonstrated. Everyone there is obviously a true animal lover. I keep forgetting to exit off of I-35 @ Bear Creek, and NOT Ovilla Rd., because if you make it to Ovilla Rd, you've passed their location, and you have to loop back to the other side of the freeway and come back down which adds about 3-5 minutes and about 2-3 miles to your trip, when coming from the north. (It's located just right before Ovilla Rd.) But that, is definitely my problem, not theirs! I recommend Countryside Veterinarian Clinic to anyone who has any type of fur-baby! It's worth the drive!

Five years ago our shelter pup stopped jumping up on furniture, people and started bunny-hopping up the stairs. First thing I did was drop Zoe off at Dr. Vals before hopping a plane to my godmothers funeral. That night we got the bad news. Worst hips ever. Few options. We chose FHNO, no hips. Dr. Val excised both Zoes hips at six and nine months of age. Zoes grown her own from cartilage and likes playing with other dogs and long walks, especially in the snow. Shes slowing down a bit and bunny-hopping more as she looks toward age six, but Dr. Val says she wont need a cart for years. Theres another reason to love Dr. Val. Shes a great mentor and my husband studied math and science partly because of his cousins example. Oh, were in Utah now, for nearly a year, but I still found a Vet with an A&M diploma! Thanks, Dr. Val!

It looked as if my dog had a scratch or was bitten by my neighbors dog. I went in this morning around 9 and only waited about 5 minutes before I was seen. Mind you I was a walk-in, and they already had multiple appointments scheduled this morning. They told me before hand what needed to be done, the area became an access that was swollen and infected so it was need to be landed and drained. It all came out for a good price, even the antibiotics my poor pouch would need. They asked me to come back around 330 but I need to be to work by 130, so they moved things around so I could pick him back up at 12. They were very nice, professional, and explained everything to me clearly. I moved from Florida last year and never found I vet I could trust with my dogs, after this trip they are officially my family vet.

I HAVE BEEN TO CLINIC THAT ARE JUST A JOB. THEY COULD CARE LESS, MORE CONCERN ABOUT MONEY THAN CARING FOR THE ANIMALS. COUNTRY SIDE VET IS BEYOND WORDS, I CAN NEVER SAY ENOUGH GOOD ABOUT THE CLINIC AND THE STAFF. I REFER EVERYONE I COME INTO CONTACT WITH. THEY HAVE NEVER FAILD TO HELP, EVEN IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY THEY WILL LET YOU PAY IT OUT. NO VET CLINIC DOES THIS. THEY HAVE CRIED AS I HAVE CRIED. VERY PASSIONATE, KIND, GENTLE STAFF. I JUST CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THEM. AWESOME. THANK YOU RUSTY LEMLEY

We took our older dog here for an emergency on a Saturday morning. They explained everything to us and gave us options for the best care for our dog. He ended up having surgery and before and after there were multiple calls from the Dr. giving us updates. When we picked him up, other than being groggy, he looked really good. First thing this morning, they called to check on him and go over his care and when hell get the stitches out. We have found our new vet and I couldnt be happier! Wonderful customer service!

We had an emergency with our puppy and our regular vet wanted to charge thousands of dollars for "exploratory surgery". We looked around for a second opinion and Im so glad we found Countryside. The cost was 1/3 what the other vet quoted and we received a confident diagnosis instead of demands for more costly testing. You could tell the vet and other staff cares about the animals and their families! This is definitely our new vet.

I cannot express my appreciation for all the hard work the whole staff does. I have sent several people here and they all say the same thing. They are always straight to the point. Never run unnecessary test or do unnecessary procedures. My dogs love going there even thou the get shots. I recommend them with all my heart. They are the best!
