Dr. Candice Major. Remember this name. I brought my cat in to this clinic 5/4/17. The night before, I noticed my 2 year old cat wasnt eating or drinking. I brought her to this clinic because its the closest to my apt. I brought my cat into the office to get her checked out. I waited in the waiting area until I was called. Dr. Candice Major was the vet who seen Dita on 5/4/17. I explained to her that my cat wasnt eating, wasnt drinking water, and wasnt going to the bathroom and I was concerned it was a UTI. Ive had cats whove had a UTI before and its easy to recognise the symptoms. She checked out her eyes, ears, and throat. Listened to her heart. Felt her bladder. She told me it felt a little hard but, not too hard. She then told me my cat was "stressed." And she had an imbalanced neuroendocrine system of cats with idiopathic cystitis. Basically her bladder was inflamed due to stress. She RAN NO TESTS. SHE DREW NO BLOOD. SHE TOOK NO X-RAY. NOTHING. She gave her half of a kitty "muscle relaxer" and wrote me a prescription for those muscle relaxers and something for pain. I felt uneasy about the situation and felt like she was wrong but Im not a vet so I didnt question her knowledge. I should have. DO NOT LET THIS WOMAN PUT HER HANDS NEAR YOUR BABY. SHE WILL LET THEM DIE. I took my cat home, after the muscle relaxer knocked her out all night. I called again the next morning because she showed no signs of improvement. Still no eating, no drinking, nothing. I came back to the clinic and waited. I told them I wanted them to draw blood and run tests. Whatever they needed to do to find out what was wrong with my baby. They took her back to draw blood. I waited in the waiting room for 20 mins before I became worried. They then pulled me into a room and told me they tried to draw blood but her breathing was weird and she went into cardiac arrest. I started screaming hysterically. I knew my baby was sick and DR. CANDICE MAJOR LET HER DIE. They had 5 people working on her to save her life. Performing CPR, everything they could do but, she was gone. The vet I that tried to save her life was a younger Asian man. He was very sympathetic and told me she may have had a preexisting heart condition I didnt know about from birth. Had DR. CANDICE MAJOR DONE HER JOB THE DAY BEFORE, MAYBE I COULD HAVE SAVED HER LIFE. Instead, she cost me my 2 year old cat. Just a baby. If you ever go to this clinic, I advice you stay away from her. Unless you want false results and no care for your pet. To the vet who tried to save my cats life, thank you. I dont know your name. But Dr. Candice Major shouldnt have a veterinary license. She shouldnt be allowed near animals and she definitely shouldnt be allowed to care for them. Thank you Dr. Candice Major. I hope I save someone else the heartache and pain you caused me by leaving this review.

After being treated rudely by Albert Lopez and Dr.Pruitt not having a deep concern about my dog, I will no longer be taking my dog to this place. My dog had a hematoma and bumps on his leg. Dr.Pruitt said the bumps on his leg are “skin tags” nothing to worry about. So I went ahead and scheduled the appointment for hematoma surgery. Day of the surgery I called to check up on my dog to see how he was doing after his hematoma surgery. The receptionist transferred me to the tech; Albert Lopez. Albert answered and rudely said as I told you earlier in the voice-mail surgery is done and Rocky is awake. He can be picked up at 2 pm. I told him, Albert I just wanted to know how my dog is doing, if he is okay. Albert responded he’s awake and can be picked up at 2 pm. Disconnect call. After the phone, I rushed to the clinic to pick up my dog. Spoke with the manager, which was pretty pointless. Nevertheless, I went to a recommend clinic; East Dallas Veterinary Clinic for my dog’s hematoma check-up and also wanted a second opinion about the “skin tags”. Turns out the skin tag was a Mast Cell Tumor. My dog is in great care now and will have his surgery this month. I highly recommend East Dallas Veterinary Clinic!

This is one of the best animal clinics Ive ever been to, my dog prince was attacked by another dog and his leg was extremely damaged, the emergency clinic I originally took him to said his leg would have to be amputated because it couldnt be saved, so I took him to Buckner Animal Clinic because thats where his regular vet was at, Dr.Suh was amazing and told me he felt he could save his leg and thats exactly what he did, Prince got to keep his leg because of his help and all the other vet techs that work there, they were all great and so helpful, Princes leg was so bad, it was completely torn open, and you could actually see his bone at one point. It was definitely a roller coaster ride because when I felt prince was getting better sometimes hed end up getting worse, but Dr.Suh didnt give up he tried his best until the end and Im so happy because prince is running around causing all kinds trouble again, thank you so much for helping and saving my babys leg.

My pet was disagnosed with allergies and given medication that made him worse. He had a missing spot of hair that I pointed out to the vet in the clinic but the vet chose to not do a skin scraping and just gave meds. I called asking for appointment because my dog was getting worse. Offered an appointment the next day. Had to take my pet to a new vet and start all over with another $165 dollars. Called office manager to let him know with zero resolution. They LIED and said I was offered a walk in appointment the day I called to do a skin scraping. I would of been there that day. Last thing I wanted to do was start over with a new clinic and new fees. I have been there about 5 times total and have NEVER seen the same vet. They must have fill-ins that could care less about their clinic or reputation.

I thought the staff was great, but not the doctor. I have been twice. The Doctors have twice been ugly and humiliating. Apparently they know everything, and everything about you, your home and your animals before you arrive. I only want help with the problem that I need help with. Not a grilling and a questioning of me and of my love and care of my other animals. This is not neccessary. He is not caring of the issue that you are there for, but of what he can make you feel bad and guilty of. Beware of bully tactics and being pushed around. I leave sick like my animal for letting someone treat me like this.

Ive taken both of my dogs here and the staff is very friendly. My newest puppy got his tail cropped at a different place and I took him to Buckner animal clinic to establish care and they told me that the previous place (I got my dog at a rescue) hadnt wrapped his tail correctly and it resulted in a minor skin infection. They gave us antibiotics right away and they rewrapped his tail correctly. The staff is always attentive to our needs and the docs weve seen there have always been super nice.
