We were very happy patients of Dr. King. We were a bit nervous when she sold the clinic to Dr. Doering. We quickly learned that the care and level of service was going to be just as comprehensive and complete with Dr. Doering. I have 3 dogs. The 2 older ones are Therapy Dogs at Baylor Hospital and the puppy is in training to do the same. They are my kids, my "business partners". Their health is as important to me as my own. .. Dr. Doering always takes however much time is needed to explain things in "people talk". She explains problems and offers options of treatment. Dr. Doering always tries the less invasive, less expensive tests and treatments before going to the more drastic ones. I appreciate that. If there is any question she refers us to an Internist, Ophthalmologist or Dental specialist...all of which we have needed. Dr. Doering follows up and monitors our progress. As for follow-up, the day after a visit to Dr. Doering, there is always a call from Donna to check up on us and see how we are doing. Again, I really appreciate that. Donna is very compassionate and understanding. Tracy has been so helpful, answering a number of questions. If she does not have the answer, she asks Dr. Doering and gets back to me in a timely manner. Tracy never makes me feel stupid or like I am wasting her valuable time. - also very much appreciated. I feel very comfortable and confident that my Girls are getting the best possible care from a Dr. and Staff that are not only competent, but also compassionate and caring. I would not hesitate to refer anyone to Virginia Parkway Vet Hosp and Dr. Doering.

We began visiting this clinic by referral when we first adopted our Dog. While Ms Elizabeth King was the Dr the service was fantastic! Donna as well was great to work with. Tracy on the other hand had an awful attitude and acted as though any questions were a bother to her. Recently our pet had a small ulcer the size of maybe a pencil eraser on his chest. I took him in almost every 2 weeks paying HUNDREDS of dollars for medication & skin scrapes just to be sent home saying it was normal and would go away on its own. Well after a few weeks it was huge fifty cent piece size and thick. I took him in to Dallas surgery center where I was told it should be removed ASAP! I paid almost $3000 for the surgery on the Bump that I was told would go away. Worst part of all our poor King had to have almost his entire chest cut open to ensure they were able to remove all of this. It was traumatic and had him down for weeks. He was completely black & blue for almost a month. In addition to all of this chaos when it comes time to submit the insurance claim thru VPI pet insurance I was told it would not be covered. Due to errors in his medical records stating that the chest mass had been there prior to our coverage. This was completely incorrect as he had a full physical about 7-10 days prior to coverage starting. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!! YOU WILL BE OVER CHARGED AND HAVE TERRIBLE CARE!!!

I have been going here since Late 2013 when I had to start searching for a new vet for my Dog and cat. I am very glad I found this vet clinic. The staff here are polite and very helpful, the clinic is very clean and appears very sanitary, which I assume is hard for a animal hospital to keep up with, but this clinic is very clean compared to others I used to go to. The thing I like about Dr. Doering is that she took time answering any questions I had and helped me understand everything. Dr. Doering and the clinic staff took wonderful care of my animals and kept me informed. Vet Clinics I have been to in the past have been very cramped in the lobby with other animals where I would have to keep my dog on a very tight leash, this clinic lobby was spacious and I didnt have to worry about my dog encountering other dogs which was a huge plus for me. I definitely recommend this clinic to anyone !

My sweet greyhound Cissy started going to Dr. Doering when she became the vet at Virginia Parkway Pet Hospital. When I rescued Cissyr from Greyhounds Unlimited, they informed me that greyhounds need special care due to their lean body fat. I never had to worry that Cissy was not get ting the best care. Dr. Deoring always took time to explain any procedures needed and I credit her with helping to extend my sweet dogs life. Greyhounds normally do not live longer than 11 years but with our love and a great vet she made it to 14. Although I will not be getting another furbaby for sometime, I know that I will always have a wonderful vet when I do. Thank you to everyone at Virginia Parkway Pet Hospital. I have been using Dr. Doering now for over a year. I must say that I have had several pets in my life and have used several vets. She and her staff are by far the most loving and caring folks I have had the pleasure of doing business with. She loves my Gabby and Bart as if they were her own. It is great to have a place to take my little loved ones and know that they will be well taken care of. I highly recommend Dr. Doering and her staff at Virginia Parkway Pet Hospital. You wont be disappointed.

Staff was so welcoming and helpful. Everyone was polite and helpful. Dr. Doering took her time with each of my pets. She went above and beyond for not only my pets, but for myself as well. I have been several times as I have several animals...each visit has been very easy, comfortable and affordable. Dr.Doering is very patient, kind and understanding...allowing me to make decisions that best fit our needs. I greatly appreciate all the services offered here and the entire staff.

We have been using Dr. Doering for a year and a half and have been extremely pleased with the professional care we have received. Every time I call whether it be to schedule and appointment or call with a question or concern, I have always felt that the staff was very kind and caring of the situation. We recently had to have several tumors removed surgically and the care our dog received was top notch! They called the next day to check on her. We love Dr. Doering and her staff!

Dr. Doering is a true professional. I have been to many clinics and this one by far is one of the best! ( I have been going here since 2005) The staff is always helpful and friendly. Dr. Doering always takes plenty of time to explain everything and never makes you feel rushed. She treats my 3 furry "Kids" like her own. I am very happy with this clinic and would highly recommend them.
