Beautiful new place. Not enough staff. We recently had to find a place for mother quickly. They were given her info (she is not able to walk, has Dementia and is very weak) and accepted her knowing they have no full bed rails. The state will not allow them to because they are a no restraint facility. Its been a nightmare over the weekend. You cannot leave your loved one there unattended. I saw that there is a facility in Ennis with the same name and has bad ratings too. Maybe owned by the same company? Im sure its due to under staffing. Not the staffs fault. Do your homework. Older facilities have better ratings. Probably because they are organized and staffed better. I will update my rating if we stay there. The place is brand new and has great potential. I hope the owners get it together.

They accepted our mother knowing full well she had Alzheimers.She was let out by a visitor to the facility in the evening.The visitor called later to let them know that they may have let a resident out.The staff never knew she was missing.They called me and said they lost my mother.They checked the perimeter twice and couldnt find her.My husband and I immediately jumped in the car,we live down the street.Thank god,we found her! She had crossed the street and walked down to the other end of the shopping center! Instead of the director offering to ensure her safety he immediately wanted her transferred.They also let my mother be evaluated by a nurse from another facility without my permission.The list goes on.I wouldnt even give them a 1 rating!

I appreciate all the hard work that the staff of Legend Oaks performs. Its not an easy job taking care of their many residents. My dad was the 1st resident they had. He moved in on November 9th. His care has not only been excellent but he considers each of the workers to be his close friends. He thrives on getting to know each and every one of them and I appreciate the way they take the time to interact with him. Additionally, they have all been very kind and helpful to me as we go through this together. The facility is beautiful but the excellence of the employees is what makes the difference. If you are looking for placement of a loved one, you should take the time to look into Legend Oaks Waxahachie.

We recently had the pleasure of placing our loved one under the care of the medical staff at Legend Oaks in Waxahachie. This place was a breath of fresh air...literally! The staff is professional, helpful and my grandmother is receiving excellent care. We are so grateful for the loving nature and atmosphere that this facility resonates. It just feels good to be there! Thank you for finally bringing quality care to Waxahachie!

My Dad and older brother have been there. Very nice and professional staff. True they are understaffed but what business isnt in this era of our lives. They quickly rehabilitated my Dad to walking again. Visitors should be told to be aware of patients trying to leave and notify staff.
