I cannot recommend Dr. Childs (or the Western urological Clinic) for any procedure especially vasectomy. I had immediate serious complications which were undeniable and lasted for several weeks. Other issues continued for months afterwards up even until now. Three months later I went back and spoke with him about continued pain, he said the pain was all a matter of “perception” (in other words like the reviewer Emily said - in my head!), and seemed to imply that I was fine. I have to question the ethics of a doctor who presumably took a Hippocratic or other oath to take care of their patients and then casually dismisses his patients with complications and does not seem to take their pain issues seriously. Clearly I would have to go find another doctor who would take it seriously and care for my condition. Make sure you do your due diligence and get several opinions first!!!

My husband underwent two surgeries for hydroceles by another urologist before we visited Dr. Childs. He described a different approach to the surgery with low recovery time and high success rates. He successfully operated on my husband, who has now been free of the problem for about two years. For him, Dr. Childs was truly a lifesaver. His recovery was quick and easy and he has been able to completely resume the activities of his daily life.

I have been under Dr. Childs care for 20 years due to chronic kidney stones. He is an excellent doctor. He is always professional, courteous and friendly. My welfare has always been a priority to him and he has demonstrated his medical expertise several times over the years when a lithotripsy was not a viable option. After all these years I consider him to be a friend and my doctor.

This isnt a doctor, he is a businessman. He doubted to my face all of my chronic and debilitating illnesses and told me that after lithotripsy that my 5mm stone had grown back in 2 weeks rather than admit he didnt get it. Avoid this practice at all costs!!
