I was seen by Cheryl at Cutting Edge 6 times over the course of a few weeks for lower back and tailbone pain. The staff is VERY friendly, and its clear that they know what they are doing. They really helped some people I know, so I decided to check it out. I felt like the exercises I was given werent intense enough. So, I would do what they asked, but I didnt really see a difference. Then, Id go back and they would try something new. Im fine with that, since they need to find the best way to help. However, when it came to billing my insurance, they werent very transparent. I kept trying to get quotes for what they were charging me. It took time to hear back from my insurance, so I was fine waiting and continuing my appointments. However, I got my first bill and it was over $200. I figured that was a new patient thing, so I excused it after talking to them about it. But, my other sessions were coming in between $180-$250! So, I looked into it, and it turned out that they were billing my insurance for what seemed like as much as they could bill. For example, they taped my back with athletic tape. It took less than a minute, and they billed my insurance $50 for that. Three separate times they billed my insurance $50 to tape my back, so I paid $150 for three minutes of work and 20 cents of tape. I tried to work with them on my billing, but it was seemingly impossible to work with me on lowering any of the charges, let alone explain why they were billing my insurance SO much for such menial services. They charged people $100 for visits with no insurance, so I tried to cancel my claims and just pay that rate, but they said that would result in them losing their license. I tried to meet with them in person, but that only worked once. Then I was asked to call, which I did, and we played phone tag a bit. Then, we boiled down to emails, which fizzled out quickly. In the end, I was stuck with almost $1,000 in bills, and no change in my condition. They were going to refer me to a different office for help, but since I was trying to work with them on my billing, I never got that referral. Again, they are VERY friendly, and they have helped a lot of people. But, the end result was a nightmare for me. $1,000 down the toilet unfortunately.

Cheryl is great, staff is friendly however their office practices are HORRIBLE!!! I constantly overheard the staff discussing what to start a patient with i.e. "Hey do you remember what she (the therapist) had this patient started with last time?" "Was it heat or cold? I cant remember" I heard replies such as "I dont know, just start them with heat and if you need to kill time do an ultrasound" or "just put them on ice until the therapist shows up" made me wonder if they were discussing other patients in front of me, what makes me think they wont do the same thing behind my back. Every single visit I was placed on ice for 30-40min before seen the therapist for maybe 10-15min. I complained about the excess of icing time, I told the office manager I have a ruptured disc on my back and I spend pretty much all day on ice. My 30min drive from my house to the clinic I was on ice and she assured me that wouldnt happen again. On top of that every single visit I would double check my next appointment and therapist and on more than one occasion I was handed off to a different therapist than Cheryl whom I made my appointment with. I understand she is busy and has aid that assist her but if I check her schedule and make an appointment when shes available and Im handed over to someone else when I expect to see her is unprofessional. Un my last visit that was scheduled for 3:00pm I showed up and was put on ice for 55min and I could hear my therapist on the next room over working on someone, I fell asleep and when I woke up I could still hear her on the next room over and it was almost an hour after I had arrived so I got up and walked out. I called to be taken off the books to what the receptionist said "no problem" then just when I thought I was done with this place I received a lovely bill for $750 for what??? Ice??? A 15min massage??? Im sure I can get a 90min massage for less than that. I requested an itemized list of services provided... THE NIGHTMARE BEGINS!!!

This is the best physical therapy Ive ever encountered. Ive been to 5-6 physical therapist before coming here. At other clinics they mainly have you perform exercises, get hand-outs of the exercises and return weekly to check on your progress. This always seemed pretty silly to me. I easily could go to one session, take the exercise hand-outs and work on everything on my own. At Cutting Edge PT they are hands-on, as well as providing you with the exercises. They will make sure you are doing the exercises correctly, and you can come in on any of your days to use their equipment for the exercises. They taught me to do simple adjustments to correct my hip and back alignment that have allowed me to be without back pain in the nine months since I first saw them. Prior to that I would throw my back out every six months and other PTs did not help at all. I initially came here to rehab a broken ankle, but they addressed all my issues (sacrum, hips, back, etc.) I cant imagine finding a better therapist. Its true that theres about a 40-45 minute wait with heat, electric stimulation, or ice, but it is well worth the wait. I usually schedule 1:30 hours for my 1 hour appointment. Fantastic!

I have had 3 back surgeries and have been on pain meds for the better part of 4 years. My pain has been so bad that I literally have begun to lost hope. I’m 36 years old and have the back of an 80 year old man. I lost count as to how many doctors I’ve been through to deal with this pain. I was actually in Cutting Edge Physical Therapy doing some work for them when I told Cheryl about my back. Next thing I knew, she got me on her table and spent 10 minutes with me. For the first time in 4 years my pain was greatly reduced! It turns out my hips were out of line. She did some stretches with me and put this magic tape stuff on my back and the minute I stood up, I felt a 100 times better! I felt like I was walking on a cloud. My right hamstring was completely loose for the first time since…. I can’t remember when. I highly recommend seeing Cheryl for chronic pain, or any other type of physical therapy. She really takes the time to listen and find out exactly where the problem is coming from. She doesn’t just give you some exercises and send you out the door. I’ve already been back a second time and she sets goals to get you “self-sustaining” and pain free in a matter of a few visits.

This is my first experience with Physical Therapy and I am totally in love with this place! I was referred by my friend whos a massage therapist, and then a few weeks later my midwife referred me as well to help my baby flip since we found out she was breech around 32 weeks. I also have been having SI joint pain and back pain with this pregnancy and I have been really impressed with the work I have had done here! The best part I found out my baby turned head down today! Everyone I have seen here is fantastic and make you feel comfortable and at ease. My husband actually started coming here a few weeks before me to help treat chronic pain in his ankle that he deals with as the result of an old snowboarding injury. He has had multiple surgeries and has a lot of metal holding him together and didnt have the best opinion of PT in the past, but was pleasantly surprised that he has gotten some relief after his visits and actually does his exercises! We are so grateful!!
