I tore my ACL and MCL so after surgery I obviously had to go to physical therapy, I chose this location because someone recommended going here, plus it is right up the street from my home! Over all they made me feel pretty comfortable, I did get kind of annoyed because sometimes I felt like they were there to have fun rather than work, and where not helping me at times. I also was only supposed to go for six weeks either 1-2 times a week, recommended by my doctor. For four weeks I went twice a week but decided to start going only once a week the fifth, because I felt like some days I would not get taught any new skills, and repeat the exercises I was given to do at home. So I was wasting my money just going there, paying, and repeating the exercises I was doing at home. A lot of the time I would get up and go get the supplies that I needed because I would get sick of waiting because the staff wasnt paying attention. A few times I had to wait for a spot to clear because there was not a table open for me... I had made an appointment and thought there should have been a table open for me. Sometimes it would take up to about 15-20 minutes, but this didnt happen often or every time. My therapist hardly taught me anything, his helpers would usually be the ones to teach me the new skills, and if my therapist did come over it would only be for a few minutes then he would be gone again and not come back for the rest of my session. When I had questions I would usually have to have one of the staff members go get my therapist from the back room, or I felt like I had to stand by off to the side until he was done talking with another employee... This happened often and it got under my skin because I was there paying all of this money and not really getting taught new skills. My therapist ended up wanting me to come to more sessions than recommended from my doctor, after the sixth week I went for two extra weeks and would have been three, but I canceled my appointment because I was going out of town. I asked if I could have my therapist call me when he got back in the office the following day. I have not heard from him, and have not heard from Mountain Land since I suddenly stopped going... I do kind of feel like they had me coming in just for the money. The positive is mostly the staff was very nice when I interacted with them, I personally feel like I would have related better with the two other therapists that were there, as I observed that I felt like they were more dedicated and were more helpful to their patients. My therapist was very knowledgeable when I spoke with him about certain things, but I feel as if he needs to be a bit more professional and dedicate more time to his patients when they are there-- as therapy is not very cheap. I feel like you should get what you pay for... I do feel like I didnt get quite what I paid for. I have been pretty good with doing my exercises, and have seen an improvement since starting therapy, although I expected more of a difference by the time I was done with therapy-- because I was told we were going to make my knee equal or better than my other knee by the end of therapy from my therapist. I understand that healing is different for everyone, I did expect a lot more though. Overall I did enjoy therapy, I would have liked to have learned more, and seen more of an improvement... as my knee is still very achy, and I expected it to be stronger, but what I did learn I am very thankful for! I would recommend this location, maybe Im just being too critical. Just a few improvements and I think this place could be great. It does bother me that they didnt even notice I stopped going, a call or send something in the mail would have been nice. Going unnoticed kind of sucks, but what can ya do! Anyway, good luck on your recovery and maybe give this place a chance.

I have been going to Mountain Land Physical Therapy for a while now. I have to say that the staff have been amazing. I have been seen by every Physical Therapist and throughout it all they were all on the same page with my unique case. The reason for the constant switching has mainly to do with my scheduling. This Mountain Land PT facility has a real willingness to work with you and your schedule if you need it. As far as the facility goes, is extremely clean and inviting. Their equipment is well maintained and there is plenty of privacy if you require it. Lastly, once you walk through the doors, you are greeted as a friend. Once you have completed your appointment, you will feel like you have actually accomplished something in the ways of recovery. All in all, this is the best place to go for physical therapy. If I need it again in the future, this is where I will go. Thank you Mountain Land Physical Therapy staff for all your hard work and dedication.

If you need great physical therapy, go directly to Church Street in Layton and find Mountain Land! The team at Mountain Land Physical Therapy is awesome. During the past six months I had the joy of working with Kerry and Kurt and Tiffany. They all were effective, professional, friendly and in tune with my recovery. After a dislocated left shoulder and rotator cuff shoulder surgery, I spent several hard-working sessions. For the first time in a year I can do pushups again! . I told Kerry and Kurt that I will send all my injured friends their way. I am grateful for the tremendous care. Sincerely, Rich Houghton

This is my third time going to Mountain Land physical Therapy and I have always been impressed with the caring, comprehensive, compassionate, professional and yes, even fun atmosphere there. Rehab is never easy, but all of the staff, Susan, Kurt, Tiffany, Mallory and the others make it a very pleasant experience. Susan did a very complete evaluation and developed an extensive care plan to help me overcome my knee injury. With her knowledge and expertise, I am making steady progress each session. The individual care there is amazing. I never feel like "just another patient." Thanks MLPT.

The staff at this Mountain Land in Layton are just phenomenal. From Kristen at the front desk, to Mallory & Casey and of course Tiffany who has been my PT there. Its always a pleasure to see them all, I actually look forward to going in. They genuinely care about my progress and make the entire process fun at the same time. I would definitely go back and refer others to their facility as well. Keep up the great work, you guys are awesome!
