I want to start this review by pointing out the fact that I do not typically even leave online reviews even when I have a poor experience. As a business owner myself, I understand that not all customer/ patient experiences can be positive. With that being said, I am taking time out of my extremely busy schedule to leave this review. Dr. Barbara Rizzardi is not a bad person. I do not wish to speak badly about her character let that be clear. I also want to point out that her nurse Christie is great! She should definitely seek new employment opportunities with a more friendly and professional office. I have been a patient of Dr. Rizzardi for over five years now, but I have finally had enough. I have waited over an hour for every appointment at her office. She is lackadaisical about serving her patients in a timely matter. Through my own research and seeing other doctors I came to realize she is not very knowledgeable about anything outside the traditional medical approach. I mean she is not proactive to say the least. In the past she has refused to treat me for medical conditions. I saw a specialists and was treated right away when Dr. Rizzardi had offered no treatment options and even denied or ignored my symptoms. Putting all of this aside the real problem with the office lies with the unfriendly, uninformed, and rude staff. Jacklyn the girl at the front desk constantly looks unhappy to be alive and will treat you accordingly. There are no smiles here. The nurse Katie is extremely rude to me. I am not the type to assume a personal vendetta but it’s as if she has gone out of her way to be rude and inconsiderate to me. She even insulted me and told me that I was overweight. I am technically obese according to the BMI. I am a physique competitor that consistently walks around at less than 10% body fat year around. She is not only unkind but clearly misinformed. My latest experience at this office is what has caused this final review. I will be finding a new physician. I am generally a healthy person so my visits to the doctor are rare, however when I do go I expect a pleasant experience. I called in a prescription on Tuesday morning that needed a doctor’s note in order to fill it. Katie told me I could come pick it up the next day. I live at least twenty minutes from their office so it is quite a drive across town for me. When I arrived Wednesday afternoon to pick up my prescription I was told by the front desk that Dr. Rizzardi was no longer in on Wednesdays and I would have to come back on Thursday when Dr. Rizzardi and her staff were present. Driving across town just to find out they were not there having been told specifically the day prior that I could pick up my prescription that afternoon, was the last straw for me. I calmly told the receptionist that they should have emailed or called all of their patients to inform them of this change so that others did not waste time and gas. Then I asked them to let Dr. Rizzardi know I would be looking for a new primary care physician. The next day I received a call from Katie. She said, "Your demeanor scared the girls at the front desk yesterday. I dont care if you want to see another physician just have your new doctor fax a request for your records." I felt this was extremely unprofessional, I decided at this point to warn others about this horrible experience to save people time, money, overall health and sense of well being.
