My child had a bump near his left testicle that was bleeding, full of puss and very irritated. It seemed to have shown up over night. I took him in to the office and the dr he saw was not interested in looking at the bump at all and said it just sounded like a diaper rash and to change him more often. This frustrated me because I change my son religiously every 2-3 hours unless its overnight or if he has an accident he gets changed sooner. Two days later my son reused to walk because he was in so much pain and this bump had doubled in size. I took him in again and the dr "drained" the bump and told us it looked like MRSA and needed to do a culture which would take TWO DAYS. I am a first time mom and I was panicking at the suggested diagnosis but she assured me to relax until the results come in and they will call right away. This was Wed of last week. I have called 3-4 times a day everyday since then (it is now Mon) and they said the results are in finally but they are waiting for a dr to review them. MRSA... you tell me my child could have MRSA and make me wait 5 days for results? I will never go back again. Obviously my child is just a number to this office... I chose this office for their convenient hours, I shouldve realized that meant they were more like a walk in clinic then an actual pediatrician office that cares about each patient they see. My sons bump is still swollen and painful, I plan on taking him to the ER where at least he can get treatment. After 3 visits to this office and $200 on copays I still have no answers and not even a courtesy call. This is not something small like a bad experience with a company- this is my childs safety and health-theres no excuse to drop the ball!

We joined this practice in search of a more natural friendly doctor. And while sometimes I feel this is the case with Whole Child, other times, they seem just the same as any other pediatrician out there. It all depends on the practitioner I suppose. We love Dr. Bunger and Dr. G. The others...well we only see them if we HAVE to. The wait time is ridiculous. If we didnt get such great care from the two practitioners listed above, we would have been gone a long time ago due to the wait times. Whenever we have an appointment I go in expecting to wait an hour after our appointment time to be seen. In my book, that is unacceptable but theres nothing I can do about it. One time, I was 15 minutes late and I called ahead of time to let them know and they were very rude to me and said, "Well I dont know if we can see your child now that you are 15 minutes late." I drive over an hour to go to this practice and this time that I was late was because of traffic issues. I was infuriated that they would tell me that I would not be able to be seen because I was 15 minutes late after all the numerous times theyve been late to see me. So all in all, love some of the doctors, the nurses are fantastic, but wait times and receptionists are not anything to brag about.

I had my first and last experience here taking my kids for their 3 year check up and the other for her 6 month check up. The receptionist is a sweetheart. However, my 3 year old was very nervous, and the older woman who was our nurse waso very impatient with her. She told her to hurry up and stand on the scale. My daughter wouldnt, so I held up and the nurse weighed both of us. My daughter was moving around and the nurse scolded me to keep her still! The doctor was an older woman whose name left me, but she didnt take any time to break the ice with my 3 year old who was apprehensive about being there. My daughter, who was being very difficult, refused to get undressed. The doctor didnt suggest listening to her heart and lungs with her dress on, but told her, "This is happening. You can take off your clothes or I will!" Then, she recommended behavior consulting. So, she said her throat looked red and she could do a strep test, but shed have to charge us for a well visit. And she could do a blood test since I was anemic! A strep and blood test on my daughter is now dressed and sitting by the door crying?! She just wanted money, money, money! Awful experience!

A pediatrics office that focuses on the entire health of the child and not simply vaccination schedules! We switched offices to find one that supports our alternative vaccination schedule. When we were seen by the doctor and nurses I was simply shocked by how attentive they were to both of my preschoolers. Whole Child actually listens to you! My former pediatrics office barely did an exam, but Whole Child checked everything, from eyes (never been done before though eye problems run in our family) to urinary issues. Everyone on the staff made the kids and I feel welcome, and I finally feel like there is a team of doctors who are partnering with me for my kids health. P.S. No issues with the receptionists at all, and I have been several times now and seen all of them.

While the staff is super friendly and doctor Stern is the most phenomenal physician I have ever met in my life, the office staff is seriously lacking. Even after moving an hour away, I chose to stay with whole child pediatrics solely for treatment under dr. Stern. I couldnt care less about the other doctors and their lack of professionalism. Now switching after having moved a year ago, the office staff has made it nearly impossible to obtain records. This is NOT the first instance Ive had poor service from them. Getting medical records, vaccine records, blood work...all of it has been worse than a root canal in every tooth without novacaine.

I recently transfer my kids from Capital area pediatric to Whole child pediatric after 10 years of going to capital area pediatric most in the years were in the sterling capital area but then theh close and we had to go to the ashburn ryan park where we had the worse exp with front desk people rude and so unprofessional. So we just started at Whole child pediatric in ashburn and as soonest we walk in we gelt welcome . The staff the doctors are super nice professional sweet . Another thing we like is that they take the time to listen to you and respond any questions you have . Love this place . We highlyrecommend it .

Love this place. My son got sick while we were searching for a new ped and they were really awesome. Worked with us to get an appointment the same day. This was right after daylight savings and I forgot to set my clock back so we showed up 45 mins late and they still took us anyways. They have really clean well maintained waiting rooms as well and so far we have only had positive experiences here. They are a dream especially compared to our last ped.

I switched to Whole Child because I was looking for a pediatrician who was more open to an alternate vaccine schedule plus I had become nothing more than a number at my previous practice. It has turned out to be a great decision. They make us feel welcome and cared about. Not sure how holistic they are as implied by the name, but they also dont make me feel crazy for my holistic leanings. I love this practice
