I worked in Dietary for 2 years. I complained to my supervisor twice about an employee but my complaint was ignored. So the next day that same employee that i complained about went to the supervisor as well with a complaint. On my following work day , I was told that I was suspended until Corporate said otherwise. I didnt receive a right up or and explanation or why I was being suspended. So I went to a higher position because I was concern on why I was being treated as such. I was out of work for three weeks while this case was under investigation. Meanwhile the other employee is still on the schedule working as if my word meant nothing. I had to write several statements just to prove my case because of all the false allegations that were made against me. The employee that I complained on is not to fawn of colored people and have said multiple racist comments to different kitchen staff. She has never received a write up for her actions at all. When my case came to a close i was giving my job back and payed for the days i miss. They investigated that everything that was said was false. I was giving my job back but was not able to work at Ashland Nursing and Rehab anymore because the director of the facility and dietary supervisor did not want me in the building, so they transferred me to another facility. I was allowed back on the property like nothing happen. I went to visit my residents and some staff because I was being missed. I never went in the kitchen or any area i wasnt allowed. I never disturbed the peace or anything in that nature. I was just visiting. A few days after i visit , I get a call from my district manager telling my that i am permanently band off the property and if i am seen , the law has to be called. Shortly after that phone call i get a phone call from a employee of Ashland facility. They overheard the Director of the facility and the same supervisor talking about me and how the supervisor did not to want to look in my face. Also how the director do not like people from the LGBT Community. so they got me band from the property. I do not understand why i am being treated so bad and im not bothering nobody.

This nursing may look good on the outside but not so on the inside. The Ventilation is not good or it has none, but I guess thats normal for a nursing homes they all stink lIke a sewage tretention plant. The windows in my days room dont open or at least I cant get them open. My dad has not been outside in five years. I see no shady places where the residents can relax and some freash air. You would think freash air would be a constitutional right, but its not. Yet keeping the residents contained is good, any half-whit would surly try to escape this hell. The furniture in my dads room surely came from the dump. His aids are nice but who ever deals with medical stuff seem to be limited, since being in the facility he has had a blood infection for as long as I can remember. There are certain people he seem to be afraid of, but no will talk to me about it. After 5 years its much better now that his mind is gone. So that being the case I could add a star but its a crime to warehouse people in places like this or nursing homes. My Dad is almost 100 % self pay. His Doctor got drunk and ran over a young woman while she was jogging one morning and killed her, after that I dont know if he ever got anouther. I am not the POA, so all I know is what I see. What I see is NOT GOOD, but the aids are very nice as are the cafeteria staff. The Ais deserve credit for being able to work there

Ashland Convalescent Center Staff have taken actions on an native American /Vietnam veteran resident that has upset his family members .His wife went to visit her husband in their facility February 4 2015 and discovered his hair was cut to above his shoulders..... She said she was devastated to see her husband cry as he explained that his hair had been cut. “I don’t know… (what happened,),” His wife said. “I came in to visit him and his pony tail was cut off. We have been married 32 years and he has had it as long as that. I asked him what happened, he said ‘I don’t know,’ and he started crying. He said ‘they cut it off.” ..............Later in a phone call a nurse told her he had asked to have it cut off. She was furious that his hair had been cut without informing her, as she has Power of Attorney for all matters involving her husband...... administrators at the facility claim they are sorry and that efforts will be made to accommodate patients

This facility should be shut down immediately!!! My dad was sent there for rehab. He has not had a bath in the 45 days that he was there. He ended up getting a UTI that was left untreated. My dad has become septic and nearly died thanks to these neglectful people. I doubt that the staff would want their loved ones treated this way!!! You reap what you sow.

Poor management and they dont care about residence. Please dont bring your loves one there. They lie about things and sweep thing under the rug. And State is friends with them to cover up things. Karma is coming back to all employees mistreat patients.

I was there, recovering from back surgery. It was dirty, short staffed, got my night meds at 9:30-10pm at night and my room mate was an invalent and had to sit in her own filth for over an hour at times. Dont go there!

Recently, I have had a loved one at Ashland Nursing and and Rehab and the care was great! The new Management team was helpful in every way. Thank You!
