HORRIBLE!!!!!! When i took my loved one home she had bed sores that i was not informed about and her medication was prescribed wrong and faxed to the pharmacy wrong, not to mention when i called her doctor his office was not aware that she had been discharged. She had fluid build up on her legs, thighs and feet and could barely move them they were so heavy. When asked about medications she was being sent home with we were told to call the doctor that was following her recovery because he had prescribed the medz. i called the facility the following day after speaking with the doctor and being informed that the medications were incorrect, when asked what happened about the medication i was told that it was correct in their computer system but apparently had printed wrong on fax for pharmacy and on my print out of medications i was given. When asked about the bed sore and why on her discharge papers it stated that her skin condition was EN TACK. i was told that the only thing she had on her bottom was MAYBE A LITTLE SCRATCH. Informed this lady that it is clearly an OPEN SORE AND IN THE FLESH THE SIZE OF A NICKEL, the nurses denied it. i was then asked by this person..."WHY DID YOU LEAVE HER HERE THEN?" I informed this person i have the picture of her the sore and would bring it to them so they could see it and she ask me why, what did i want them to do about it...how about acknowledge you and your facility SUCK!!!!! THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!! THEY SMILE IN YOUR FACE AND WHEN YOU LEAVE THEY TREAT YOUR FAMILY LIKE CRAP.. Residence are affraid to speak up because of nurse, cna retaliation. i asked my loved one why she did not tell me what was going on there and she said because she did not want the nurse to retaliate. You send your loved one to a facility thinking that people will do their jobs and take care of them like they should or like the state requires them to and you wonder who is running this place because they are clearly doing the minimum and only enough to get a pay check. Futher more, dirty floors in the rooms, ants in the drawers and on the floor, call button response time normally 5/10 minutes, received a bill, informed the business department the days medicare was covered and that it was incorrect and that was over a week ago. Still have not received a letter or phone call with the corrected amount. Its a shame that this is a sister facility to the HANOVER HEALTH AND REHAB FACILITY... because truely they are 100 times better than Parham.

My name is Stephanie Novelli and im 31... i was brought here July 31st after being almost a month at Johnston Willis. Being discharge August 31st. I worked closely with Overnight staff Danielle Minor,Kimberly Sanders, Diane Harris,Sherry Malvar cause i never slept and they were the best staff ever. If i couldnt breathe they was right there with a treatment. The CNAs even went out to get me something if i was hungry and didnt have my own money. Also CNAs Ariyan Baybii and Kea Cooper have to be cause they bought me snacks and talked with me when they saw me upset. Mary Jacobs and Gail also have to say are amazing cause they always stayed late just to make sure patients were taking care of. In P.T. i worked with Gina, Student Sam, John and Carlton.. But i even got to know Brenda.. So they all where amazing and i would work with them all again.. Even Sam though we pushed each others buttons i think.. O.T. was all about Maggie and she is by far the best.. But i made friends with Nicole and Sherri Zhang and i care for them all... Tiffany and housekeeping i will not for leave out and also The ADL kitchen staff like Trae and Darshall... I will miss all of you lovely ladies.. Activities Awesome Bingo and Crafts any day Amanda you are AWESOME.. i dont know how to the spell the other 2 but you are AMAZING AND AWESOME too.. As of all the place is amazing and i made friends with the residents though i was the youngest one there.. I even got numbers and will be keeping contact.. So thank you and hope to never forget and not to be forgotten

In my work in the community as a nurse I have encountered many skilled nursing facilities. They are not all the same. There are terrible ones, ok ones and excellent ones. This is most definitely an excellent one. I first came to Parham for a patient when I was a hospice nurse in the community. I was immediately greeted with NO SMELL! It is amazing. That rarely happens. I walked to the unit, where I was greeted by every staff member that walked past me. The nurses I worked with were knowledgeable and welcoming of a stranger in their house (which doesnt always happen). My patient received wonderful care and when, a year later, I was in the market for a job, I found the same welcoming faces on my way to the interview. I have worked at Parham for over 3 years now and have seen some wonderful and caring nurses and healthcare workers develop and grow. I am happy to work here and encourage anyone looking for a quality healthcare facility for a loved one or a job in the healthcare field to come and see it for yourself!

I gave a one star review based on my mothers experience there and what I saw. They do not have enough nurses, they will not answer the phone if youre calling after 5 to check on someone. The phone rang 16 minutes at the nurses station before hanging up. On weekends the lunch that is supposed to be served at 12 arrives at 2:15. I had to bring my mother something to eat on weekends. I have found her hooked up to an oxygen concentrator that was turned off. The whole time she was there she was in a wheelchair. When they discharged her they refused to authorize a wheelchair to use at a nursing facility. They said she could walk 250 feet on the walker. She is blind, eighty seven years old, weighs 86 pounds on oxygen. The reason she was there was because she fell while using her walker! The nursing staff and physical therapist put her in a wheelchair to take her to therapy. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR LOVE ONE DO NOT GO TO PARHAM HEALTH AND REHAB!

Parham Health and Rehab is a wonderful place! I work at Parham and cant tell you how rewarding it is to work in such a caring, compassionate and beautiful environment. When you walk down the hallways, you will always see smiling staff members who care for our residents and patients. All staff genuinely care about every single resident and patient, which shows in Parhams exceptional outcomes. Clinical care and rehabilitation are top notch at this center, and no one in the Richmond area can compare to the care one will receive at Parham. 100% of patients who are discharged home rate Parham as providing excellent care and would recommend others to come to this center! Many staff members are so confident in the services Parham Health and Rehab provide, that they have placed their family members in the caring and capable hands of the center. Parham Health and Rehab is fantastic and I am proud to work here!
