I have been trying for almost three months to find out how to get an amended death certificate for my late husband. His daughter reported him as being divorced on the original certificate. Have called Customer Service many times and been told something different each time. One time they tell me just write a letter and state reason for correction dont need to send money now. Next time I am told we dont show any record of receiving a request. Each time they either tell me there is no request and the next time I am told yes I show a request but nothing has been done on it. I have mailed three requests with all documentation requested. Now after two months of misleading me I am told I have to petition the court to have it changed. I asked the person which court do I need to petition since I am in El Paso, TX, My husband died in Virginia. He told me "I dont know" Well if your people dont know how am I supposed to know what to do. His daughter took him to West Virginia without my knowledge. He took his cell phone away from him and would not let him contact me or me contact him. I found out on the internet on April 29 that he had passed away on March 30. The people who answer the phone in customer service are very poorly trained as to the information they give to callers. I have been getting the runaround for 5 months now beginning with the funeral director in Berkeley Springs, WV. I need answers.

I have spoken with some of the RUDEST customer service representatives ever! To have a public service job and cop attitudes with your customers is unacceptable. I requested my childs birth certificate be sent back to me because I was not going to make the corrections I initially requested... not a copy... the original birth certificate I sent them! I called 7 times in two weeks and got 7 different answers. Then, I was finally told they mailed it to me on January 13th. Well, its January 29th and I still have not received it and all they keep telling me is there is nothing they can do; for me to call back if I dont receive it by February 1st. It doesnt take almost a month for 1st Class mail. The young lady I spoke to this morning got an attitude when I asked what was the quickest way for me to receive my childs birth certificate because I have been telling them I needed it ASAP. She said if I didnt want to pay for the expedited service, then I could drive to Richmond, (FROM GEORGIA), to get it! Im not paying an expedited fee for a birth certificate I sent them and only wanted back! Then she hung up on me. Hire people that care about working with people and not just for a paycheck.

If I could give them a no start I would! We sent off for a birth certificate over 6 months ago. We have called and begged for a supervisor NUMEROUS times only to be transferred to voicemail left messages (at least 3-5) every other week and still havent gotten anywhere with them. In Florida so we cant just run down there to pick up what weve paid for. BEWARE sending them ANY MONEY through the mail!

We have been calling for over a month to get a change implemented to a birth certificate and have been stonewalled by customer service at every opportunity. They claim to take all calls serious and care about service, but they have done nothing at all. I like a job where I get paid to do nothing so maybe I should apply.

EVERY TIME I CALL TO SPEAK WITH A CUSTOMER REPRESENTATIVE, I AM ON HOLD FOR SO LONG TO THE POINT WHERE I JUST HANG UP, AFTER 30 MINUTES ON BEING ON HOLD LISTENING TO THE MUSIC, AND HAVENT YET TO SPEAK WITH ANYONE, IM FURIOUS. I JUST WANTED TO CHECK ON THE STATUS OF MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE!

Ordered my sons birth certificate a month ago and I still have yet to receive it smh....everytime I call them they give me the run around saying they dont know why its still "processing" and they tell me someone will call me within a week and NO ONE ever calls me Smdh so unorganized
