I brought my dog in for an anxiety licking problem. My dog was put on 100mg twice a day of Gabapentin. (She is only 7-8 pounds) My dog started throwing up and had an upset stomach. After paying another $300 for tests that came back negative and several OTC meds I paid another $225 for x-rays. I asked if I should bring her in on an empty stomach they said it didnt matter. Wrong! They said the X-ray shows she is very backed up in her bowel and they couldnt see very well, that could possibly be causing her throwing up and we would probably have to do another X-ray on an empty stomach if it doesnt improve. Cha-ching! I asked if the medication could be causing her constipation or throwing up and I was told no. They said the next step would be a sonogram and or exploratory surgery to find out what was going on with her stomach. They said she could have a small blockage but didnt really think so considering she was not throwing up blood or seemed to be in pain. After 3 weeks on a medication for the anxiety it was time to refill. Again in length I spoke with them about the medication and if there should be a change.. she was still licking. I was assured the medicine was fine and if we wanted to try another anxiety medication it would be ordered and it would be a week. I refilled the Gabapentin and decided to look up the medicine myself when I got home as I just didnt feel good about this whole thing. Guess what? The very first side effect in dogs is vomiting and down the list is constipation and or diarrhea. Furthermore the medicine is prescribed for seizures and chronic pain in dogs and cats. Where is the anxiety? When I called to talk to the doctor about it she said weve never have any side effects like that and that there is no literature to support that. And then she said why would I accuse the doctor of lying to me or trying to trick me. Seriously? I told the doctor I took offense at her accusations, and that my goal is to get the proper care for my dog, and I would never think a reputable veterinarian would try to trick or lie to me. But people make mistakes. I said if I had someone come in who had these new problems and was just prescribed a new medication I would be moved to look into the medication. I felt like I was misinformed because the side-effects were listed right there in black and white. She continued to deny that there are such side-effects and that it was the correct medication for anxeity. I expressed concern that they wouldnt take any responsibility and not being completely informed... I am not a doctor I count on them to be fully informed before they give my dog any medicine. I never raised my voice although she repeatedly talked over me and I never got accusatory or insulted them or the hospital... in fact I said clearly youre not willing to take any responsibility for this or address my concerns, so thank you for all the effort you put into trying to take care of my dog. She then slammed down the phone to clearly hang up on me. She just refused to take responsibility and refused to address my concerns. Not a place I want my dog. Beware!

I realized late in the night that my dog had swollen lymph nodes. She was panting and not sleeping well. First thing the next morning I called my regular veterinarian but I couldnt get in with my vet until later that afternoon. I called Autum Trails in tears and was offered an appointment that day and early in the morning. The front desk staff was understanding and supportive in my time of distress, I felt validated and understood. When I arrived the facility was clean, warm, and welcoming. Dr. Babcock could not have been more kind and compassionate toward my pup or me. I was given all the options regarding my dogs condition, plan of action, and possible prognosis. I was never pressured to take any action that I did not feel was best but was also given all explanations as to the options that were being offered. I was provided an estimate for the cost of all possible procedures and allowed to choose what course of care I wanted for my pet. When I called them with questions two days later, the staff immediately remembered me and my pet. My question was addressed within minutes of speaking with the veterinarian. I returned to the facility on the weekend when I was afraid that my pup had another related issue, I was seen immediately and again with much kind care. Dr. Cordoza explained all the possible issues my dog is facing, what to expect, and what her body will be going through. My mind was put at ease and my decisions validated. I am so grateful for the care and attention that I received at Autumn Trails and I will now be a regular client. I highly reccomend Autumn Trails to any pet owner who is looking for qualified, caring, and supportive animal care. Most sincerely, Jennifer Mills

I mistakenly came here because my regular vet was booked full and I needed to be seen ASAP because I had an emergency situation with my cats eye. First off, the technician was seemingly jaded and very unpleasant. Her skills werent even great! I was bullied into doing a bunch of unnecessary tests and ultimately paying way more than I normally would have at my regular vet. I was also made to get a rabies vaccination for my immuno-compromised cat. My regular vet has seen me for years and NEVER made me get any vaccinations or do a bunch of unnecessary tests at times of visit. This place only wants to make money and doesnt care about your animal and certainly not your wallet. I was referred here by a friend; now theyve lost two clients and potentially more just by word of mouth.

Good other than following up and responding back thru emails about ur pet. After conversation to send pics thru email to show the womb of show them if it looks worse or better waited next day told them i never head back..reply was had several emergencies will show vet when she comes in Tuesday...still a week now and never heard a word. Place seems to be closing slowly but dont like the fact i feel put back on back burner and forgot about. If another emergency takes place with my pets will seek different place. Staff was great to work with but this made me feel like my pet wasnt worth their time to respond and give me some feedback.

What a great crew. Our small dog became incredibly ill about three weeks ago. We brought her in to Autumn Trails because they were the only one we knew of open on Saturdays. They were great from checkin to check out. They were able to run the diagnostic blood work within on hour in house. They confirmed her condition and got her treated right away. They literally saved her life since her condition would have killed her. Big thanks to the all ATVC staff!!

Wasabi - the cat who owns me - had a very good experience when he went for his check-up. He didnt have to wait long in his crate before gentle hands took him out. Wasabis Mom - me - was very happy to see what a nice, bright and clean office he was going into, and the kind staff and veterinarian who did his check-up. We - cat and I - would definitely recommend Autumn Trails, and have!
