AWESOME VET CARE!!!!! I have 3 large dogs and 1 cat. I have lived in the Hampton Roads area for over 10 years. I have had the opportunity to experience many veterinary clinics over the years through my volunteer work with GRREAT (Golden Retriever Rescue) and through my own pets health care needs. Bennetts Creek Veterinary Care is by far the BEST vet clinic I have brought my furry children to! From the kind and personable Michelle at the front desk, to the extremely compassionate and knowledgeable veterinary assistants and vet techs, and finally the honest, well-educated, empathetic, and professional veterinarians, Bennetts Creek Veterinary Care leaves you knowing you are providing the best possible care for your pet. My personal experience with my 9 1/2 year old Golden Retriever has made me a loyal client of BCVC. My boy, Milo, has a rare disease called "megaesophogus", Inflammatory Bowel Disease, and other conditions that complicate his medical history. Dr. Brandon Wichman has been PHENOMENAL!!! His knowledge and expertise is impressive, as is his desire to learn more through continuing education conferences. Milos case is complicated and requires frequent visits to the vet. Dr. Brandon Wichman considers all aspects when deciding the best possible treatment for Milo. He communicates honestly and effectively in a way that is respectful and clear. He works with you as a partner in your pets health care. In response to the comment below about the clinic overcharging for their services: Are there vet clinics that charge less? Probably. However, in my opinion, you get what you pay for. If you want your pet to receive the best possible health care, then take them to Bennetts Creek Veterinary Care. I would rather pay more for superior care and expertise, than pay less for average skills and care.

My kitty started to swell and I knew something was wrong! I went to see Emily and it was terrible, she mis-read the blood work, gave me a huge bag of food for my swollen cat that I told her over and over again was NOT eating and was swelling up! She just gave me blank stairs and acted like she had no clue what to do and she did NOT! I took my cat home but was so worried about her I actually took her back to see another vet there not the one before, but he was busy and they treated me very badly so I walked out and went to a emergency clinic which was wonderful! They told me about the mis-read blood work and could not believe nothing else was done for my poor kitty, she did not get better and I had to put her down, but if that vet that had the chance to help her actually tried to help her maybe she would still be here. They are all about MONEY, they actually sent me my history in the mail and told me to not come back! Do not go there and if you do, do NOT go to the person named Emily hopefully she went back to vet school! What a air head. This happen over a year ago, I waited to write this because I did not want to be angry but I still am....bad place.

Overcharged!!! Refused to give me an estimate. Almost doubled the amount of the primary visit charge I WAS quoted because, "he had to think about my dogs treatment options while he was with his next client". This visit was for a second opinion. He came up with the same treatment as the first vet I went to (that did not work) at nearly 3 TIMES the COST! So, nearly three hundred dollars later I have my dogs ears wrapped and taped, with hair already sticking to the tape. My dog is very sensitive and I knew this would be a problem. Dr. Wichman refused to fix this before we left the office. It needed fixed while he (the dog) was still sedated. He (Wichman) refused several times. My dog ripped the wrap off the second day-taking MOST of the skin off his ears with it. They refused to quote a rewrap or visit charge and definitely were not going to comp it-even though it was an issue before we left. Also, just a warning...DO NOT GET INTO A DISCUSSION REGARDING HIS KIDS BRACES-your bill WILL reflect it! NOT WORTH THE MONEY TO GO HERE!!!! Dont get suckered into the "laser" treatments. It "may" heal your dog "about" <10% sooner (NO Guarantee).

My husband and I have been taking our pets to Bennetts Creek Veterinary Care for over 16 years! BCVC provides our pets with the very best in Veterinary care! They offer state of the art technology that enhances the quality of their care, and they consistently provide the compassion necessary to lovingly care for the pets and (human) clients. They always work with us to insure that our pets can be seen in a timely manner. They take time to answer all of our questions and to make sure we are adequately informed in all matters related to our pets. Our main vet is Dr Brandon Wichman. If he says our pets need something, or if he says that additional testing or treatments are necessary, then well do it without hesitation. His expertise is invaluable. Our pets are members of our family. We want the best for them and we receive it at BCVC. Their entire team of doctors and staff are incredible!

We are very pleased with the care our dog, Codi, receives at Bennetts Creek Veterinary Care. The doctors and staff are professionals who provide the best possible care. They are compassionate, empathetic, and personable. It is because they care and dont give up that Codi is alive. Codi has Addisons desease and is almost blind. We dont worry much because we know if he needs care, the doctors are but a phone call away.

Dr Wichman has been our vet for nearly 16 years. We cant praise him and his staff enough. Whether we needed urgent care or just a checkup, we could count on Dr Wichmans expertise. The professional care and compassion of this group is unsurpassed. The total dedication that folks at this practice display to their patients and their families make them our first, last and only choice.

This is the clinic for your pets if you want knowledgeable, professional and compassionate care! For the past 10 years, we have brought our pets to BCVC and have recommended the clinic to others. We recently rescued two puppies and are comforted knowing their healthcare will be in the hands of these wonderful folks.

Been coming here for years and have always had a great experience. All doctors have been wonderful with my pets and given them extraordinary care! In the past I have tried to go somewhere cheaper and that was not worth it! I would much rather pay more and get the care that my pets deserve!

I have been going to Bennetts Creek Vet for years. (15+) I have always had great experiences. I especially like Dr. Wickman (unsure of spelling). Yes, they are a bit pricier than some other vets but I dont mind paying more if my dogs are cared for well.

The Vets and Techinicians are great and very friendly. It is very clean. We usually do not wait long when we take our pets to be seen. They are very flexible. The only downside is they are very expensive.

Great staff and beautiful clean building. Yes they are a little more expensive but I am very satisfied with the service. Awesome followup with our pets. Emailed reports with what was done that day.
